      I'm going to say it is Southern Pacific 4-6-2 #2472 but not sure, going by the tender it's definitely a Southern Pacific locomotive, though.

    Floyd Jenkins)
    Here she comes look at her roll
    There she goes eatin' that coal
    Watch her fly look at her sail
    Let her by, by, by, the fireball mail.
    --- Instrumental ---
    Let her go look at her steam
    Hear her blow whistle and scream
    Like a hound waggin' his tail Dallas
    Bound, bound, boud, the fireball mail.
    --- Instrumental ---
    Engineer makin' up time
    tracks are clear look at her climb
    See that freight clearin' the rail
    I bet she's late, late, late, the fireball mail.
    --- Instrumental ---
    Watch her swerve look at her sway
    Get that curve out of the way
    Watch her fly look at her sail
    Let her by, by, by, the fireball mail.
    Yeah, let her by, by, by, the fireball mail...

  • @chrisj2539
    @chrisj2539 4 года назад +1

    We ought to bring back trains--certainly for freight. One loco can haul 100 boxcars, and each boxcar can hold as much as--what?--2-3 semi trucks... think of the savings!

    • @jimmymoss5110
      @jimmymoss5110 9 лет назад +2

      Yes sir.
      Sonny Osborne on the 6 string banjo.
      Before him everybody(as far as I know) played a 5 string.

    • @style5tie
      @style5tie 6 лет назад +1

      Everybody still plays a 5 string. His 6 was a custom built Vega and they are extremely rare.

    • @EricEllis-b2m
      @EricEllis-b2m Месяц назад

      @@style5tie Vega didn't make the 6 string neck for Sonny. C.E.Ward in Charlotte, N.C. made it in late 1969 or early 1970. By late spring or early summer of 1972 Sonny had a Gibson with a 6 string neck in it. The best I remember a man named M.K. Kirk made that neck for him.
