Also what are thoughts on the “Capsule Wardrobe” trend? A video on this would be amazing. What to buy to have a basic elegant wardrobe with pieces that can be used interchangeably for variety of looks without having a ton of clothing.
Lounge wear is covered in a previous video. Sorry I can't remember which one. Basically cashmere or silk sets. Full cotton if it looks not too lazy (read: careless)

@@lillyflower365 congrats, my Dear....my granddaughter is Your age,...and she Likes to wear my 25 years old Clothes.....I was slim then:)!!! Enjoy the autumn!!!
I'm your height! I think one thing that helps is to wear high-waisted items and tuck your shirt inside. It really elongates your legs. At work, I wear a lot of paperbag trousers with a shirt or blouse tucked in. Another tip is to dress fully in one colour. Also, long and midi-length skirts and dresses actually make you look taller as the longer length of the fabric makes a longer line for the eye to follow.

As someone who has had a classic (timeless) style from young age, I am obsessed with your channel and I am absorbing everything you say. I would never ever ever buy over the knee boots, I thought they just look Vulgar. After watching this video, I finally decided to just try few of them and I noticed some of them looked better then others. I went to Stuart Weitzman and tried the ones featured at 1:14. I got them and I feel really elegant wearing them! They are so classy for a everyday boot!! So thank you for teaching us different ways to look classy and adjusting it to this modern age! 💓💓💓
I love that you added the lace-up Victorian shoe!! That was a great surprise. I've always adored that classy vintage look, so it’s nice to know that you endorse it!
❤️ I would love if you made another autumn shoe guide - dress & skirt edition! I only wear dresses and skirts passed my knee. I also am only 5’3, so I have to be careful to not make my closed toe shoes look bulky. Thanks for all your help, Anna ❤️
Anna, what do you think of leopard-print shoes or ankle-boots? I’m seeing them everywhere these days. I find Stuart Weitzman makes the best over-the-knee boots. Marc Jacobs makes the coolest ankle boots. You can’t go wrong with Hunter rain boots. Børn and La Canadienne makes surprisingly affordable equestrian-style boots.
Dehner a US company makes custom fitted riding boots that will last a lifetime. Also high end tack shops sell the same, frequently barely used. I acquired my favorite Hermès boots that way. Be certain to use boot shapers for long lasting proper shape. Wellington’s are great stylish rain boots. All the same info for riding boots also applies to jodhpurs.
Anna, your voice is so pleasant. It is so peaceful and makes me calm. I would also like to say that I just love the way you dress (also in this video), in this domain you are the best, I look up to you.
The sound effects are gone. A million thanks for that! I really enjoyed watching this video and the previous one where you talked about how to afford an affluent lifestyle as a beginner. Very good tips. As far as boots go I wholeheartedly agree about the OTK boots. However, I do wear them with casual dresses albeit never with short ones. An OTK boot with a midi skirt or one that goes just below the knee keeps me warm and toasty when the autumn and winter winds are cold. I also want to compliment you on your always very elegant backdrops. The hydrangeas are beautiful.
I would like to add that when buying rain boots, make sure that they are made of real rubber!! There are so many synthetic boots out there that may have a pretty design and be cheaper, but they will only last you a year or two before they crack. Real rubber can last for many years and it is more environmentally friendly. To give an example, i recently got returned to me some rubber boots that were mine when i was a kid. My brother and sister have used them, my cousins have used them, and now my daughers are using them. Not a single Hole or crack, the colour has faded but they are still in great condition!

I love that you included rain boots. Especially in the fall at a farm style outdoor get together, rain boots really can actually add to the look. I have a really nice charcoal grey up to the knee pair. Up to the calf is where it becomes too casual. 🙌🏻

I don't usually comment but here goes, fellow RUclipsr myself, and here a long time, since you had about a thousand-ish subs! I would love to see an updated "how I got this hair color" video since you went a lot lighter, can you tell us how the stylist got you that look? What to ask for at the salon, were those baby hilights or what type of hilights, foil pattern around the face if it's something special etc, all the hair nerd facts? Hehe would love it if you could have her talk about it as you have it done if possible! I love how multidimensional it looks, not just flat, that's what I always go for too. Can you do a video about elegant hair styles for all occasions and easy ways to do them? That would be fun! 👌 Ladies, like this comment if you want to see her updated hair color and a video about classy hair styles for all occasions and easiest ways to do the looks yourself. PS. I am happily married to the man of my dreams, not looking to bag anyone lol I just watch you for the girly stuff and the fashion videos and other fun stuff, you just have a really good head on your shoulders and you are really classy lady with a great sense of style! You are appreciated Anna. 💇🏼
Hello Anna: I must say the videos that you have made and are continuing to make are like a breath of fresh air. How nice it is to see your presentation without you sitting on your chair fiddling with your hair which seems to be one thing that is seen on so many videos today. I'm not sure if it's a lack of confidence in that person doing the videos, or not knowing what to do as they speak. At any rate, your videos on a woman being classy and elegant are very well done. These are things that I have learned thru the years of being in fashion and such. Not everyone has hoards of money to spend on their clothes and footwear to be elegant and fashionable at the same time. You again stress this fact for your viewers and how that they can make their appearance look great at any price tag. It's all in how you put things together and the most appropriate colors used to best suit one's complexion. This is worth a thank you to you. Your thoughts and ideas are well worth a person who doesn't know how to put clothes and footwear together to be the best that they can be. Well done, Anna!!!
I‘d love to hear your tips for elegant furniture and also how to decorate the house so that it looks expensive, even if it’s not. Especially things like curtains, carpets, wallpaper etc. Greetings from Germany!
For winter, I find curtains, candles, rugs and throws are affordable ways to update some luxury. Put all the summer items away. Then choose a vibrant colour. Mix bold with pastel. A bold curtain colour with matching coloured candles can make a difference.
I liked the last two pieces Anna. Thank you. ❤️😊 Unfortunately, it has to be taken into account, that the high boots aren't for every person. If you are very petite, it will only make you look smaller. Proportions is key! That is why I can only wear smaller boots. Have a nice day. 😊👢
I love over the knee boots. I have a pair of suede boots by Anne Klein and they are so comfortable and cute. And, honestly, they're very functional too because the heel is low and the toe is a little wider. I also love my riding boots from Land's End for much the same reason.
For a good portion of my life I hated my long legs and height but I'm coming into my own and I'm starting to develop a love and appreciation for them. Also a special thanks to your videos and tips. Congratulations on the continued success of your channel!
You can look for "knee high" suede boots that lace up. They could be over the knee on you! Also, the lace up and the suede material will allow you to make it fitted to your leg so that it doesnt appear to be a knee high boot that is just too high in you, know what I mean? 😘😘😘 Good luck on your search!!! OH! I almost forgot!! If you are shorter and also have a smaller show size, many good quality brands realize that a lady with an Amer. size 5 foot is not going to be as tall as a lady with an Amer. size 9 and the length of the boot is created accordingly!!
Keep searching! I'm short and I have thick thighs but I found a couple pairs that work for me. If you shop online look for the boots that just cover the model's knee, just barely touching her thigh. These should be perfect.
I have zero interest in fashion, though I do know quite a thing about classic fashion and elegance (that's why Anna's channel attracted me, not because I'm chasing after affluent men 😄), but I've still clicked on the new video 🌷 Love the way Anna talks - slowly yet deeply... and the way she's groomed of course. Nice to look at and listen to!
Yes ladies!! She said rain boots!!! Trust me, they are actually quite gorgeous!! I have some exquisite high gloss rain boots, actually not even designer, but they are of good quality so they last and LOOK expensive! Just because we can afford designer, doesnt mean that is all we buy. If the style or cut of something is appealing to me, I buy it!!😊😊 But anyway, I digress!! Rain boots. I live in New England (CT to be exact!) and we all know about "Nor'Easters" and "Those New England winters"🤣🤣 Dressing appropriate for the weather is not only elegant. But actually necessary!! I mean, think about it, it does not matter how expensive or elegant one's clothes are if they are not appropriate for the weather!! A long Cashmere winter coat in summer? A beautiful sleeveless summer dress with open toed sandals in winter, with no coat? That would look ridiculous!!!!! Any kind of clothing piece can be elegant if you find the right cut and material.
Ana, blessings 💕 I would love for you to make a video on how to decorate our homes, small or large, apartments, etc. and make it look elegant and expensive whether it’s a modern, antique, eclectic, colorful, etc. it’s nice for any guest to think how great taste we have and I’m good at it but I’m not there yet, still in the process.... 😊
Hi dear Anna, would you please make a video on chic dressing curvy women? I really love your taste and elegance, but I need more choices for larger women. Thank you 😊
Your videos are amazing and So Helpful ! I’m a tired mommy ... kinda lost myself and my style , your help is so appreciated and I am applying your tips , I’m looking and feeling better , thank you !!
Agreed. I am 5-4 if gravity is not too strong and a curvy 128-130. So OTK boots don’t leave a lot of room between boot top and skirt bottom. Lol. (Not to mention, sometimes I simply can’t bend my knees because a tall shaft boot is too tall. Luckily, I have a shoe repair shop that can cut off about an inch for me..)
Tips from a broke lady. Ladies, I know many of you guys on a budget. She is not saying to buy designer clothes. If you have money for it then great. If you don't then that is okay. Shop within your budget and shop strategically. Use these tips as you shop. Go to secondhand shops, discount store and so on. That is fine! You can find MANY pieces that suit your needs while trying be elegant. For example, I work in an office setting and have to walk ALOT so I invested in some good pair of flats and comfortable dress pants. Everything else was secondary. Many of my tops and blouses are from second hand shops. While shopping think about how you can maximize the styling of your clothes. How many outfits can your make of your clothes? Please don't be ashamed that you can't afford to buy designer. It is okay to shop with your budget. 😘
@ The Examined Life....how fun that you’re shoe shopping. Perfect timing. What brands are you looking into? I’ve read it’s best to shoe shop in the mornings so yhat the feet and toesies have not gotten swollen. Not sure if that’s accurate.🙂🌸
Thank you for you videos. They are terribly good and inspiring! Is there a video that explains which kind of trousers and skirts look classy and elegant with each one of these shoes? Most people wear them with skinny jeans, but my thighs and hips are pretty big so I prefer to avoid them. Thank you.
Hi Anna, I absolutely love overknees, but I was really surprised, that you (already one time earlier) listed them as elegant boots. I wear them really often, but I feel that they elevate almost every outfit to sexy, cause they imitate stockings. I am pleased to hear, that you love them too.
I think its very individual taste... the boots are maybe 70% sexy and some of them 30% elegant, but it is absolutely fine for an elegant lady to dress her own way, which means that some of us like it more sexy than others. So, she is not misleading anyone 😊. It is just her personal taste. Like mine too. We are all different individuals.
Hello Anna, I just finished watching your video. Thank you for doing this kind of video regarding Fall foot wear. I had requested a video like this and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to make one. It was extremely well done, very informative and I now feel that I'm prepared with the adequate footwear for fall. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing another video regarding winter footwear. Especially for walking in the city.
Rain boots can be high end leather - Dubarry or the high gloss Hunters. I still have green Hunter wellies. You need these if you are around stables or polo practice.
Anna, I am a stay at home mother of two young boys and want to elevate my style. However I need everything to be functional and suitable to be with my boys. Could you do a video just for mothers that a with children, at parks, need to be able to walk, maybe run a little, get up and down from playing with the children etc etc. thank you sooo much!
I am happy you consider some of my favourite shoes elegant😄 I love my two pairs of overknee suede boots on thicker high heels, especially the burgundy ones. My classy riding boots really lasted for years but now I prefer over ankle leather shoes.
Anna do you have a video on color? And teaching what colors are best for certain skin colors? I know it’s not clothing, but, color is important as well. Thank you!!
Hey Anna. I actually have almost all the boots you suggested in this video, and they are all timeless pieces indeed! I would like to know what you think about the kind of boots that are kind of in trend right now- combat boots, chunky round toe chelsea boots, cowboy boots, high heeled knee high boots, chunky boots from Timberland, and wearing hiking boots as everyday footwear in the winters.
Hi Anna, would you please recommend a list of brands (preferably breaking them down into low end, mid end, high end) of boots that are worth investing?
Dear Anna, thank you so much for your videos! I wonder, if you could recommend some brands which produce shoes for women of 10th size (GB, US - 12)? It's a headache for many high girls... 😭
I love boots, but I have a large, muscular calf and unless styles come in extended calf sizes, I can't wear them. Thank goodness you included rain boots, though. Those usually fit my calf.
I knew Anna was going to say riding boots! 💕 I have a "model shape" but my legs look so skinny in boots. What about leg warmers? Are they still classy?
I have ankle boots with a silicone wedge platform, zips on both sides and they are so comfortable, nubuck, french brand Arche, absorb the shock of pavement, like a runner, but with 7cm heel. Perfect if you have a naturally high arch.
Growing up in FL, I would have HATED these shoes, but after living in NYC 2yrs and experiencing a heavy walking commute in snow, I understand. A lot of women give up in the winter. It’s easy to throw on a pair of uggs and call it a day, but I hate that too! 😂 Elegant fashion is about looking as feminine as possible in every circumstance. These fall shoe suggestions are spot on! I would also like to add my favorite boot: Sorel Joan of Arctic lace up wedge boots! 😍 Not only are they waterproof, but totally walkable and durable, and sooo cute with workwear for commuting AND transitioning to happy hours 👌 Trust me, you’re welcome 😏
I like this editing much more than the wild opening and loud swooshing titles that you had for a short time. Much less distracting and just highlighting the important points.
Hello Anna I love the work you do here on RUclips! A great video you can do to help us ladies is a Types of Dresses to Wear for Specific Occasions. For example right now I am having trouble choosing an elegant dress that will be appropriate for a charity event in which I will be publicly speaking to 200+ guests. I feel other women have the same trouble picking out types of dress to wear for high pressure occasions.
My question may be silly, but I woukd like to know when you wear nuce trousers, do you tuck them into your boots? Either below the knee or ankle length?
Hello, I love your style. Could you make a video telling us how to look elegant at the same time as being comfortable in the winter when your feeling run down and feel like wearing tracksuit bottoms but of course they won't look elegant so what you would wear as an alternative to tracksuit bottoms and still look elegant and be warm and comfy. I would love to hear your opinion.
Hey Anna! Watched your video with interest as always but i am wondering now... how come oxford shoes are not on the list? Do you consider them not to be elegant/classy?
Before even watching, I already know Horse rider boots have to make your list, even if you're not riding horses. 🤣 I KNEW IT, #2..."Riding Boots " I became strangely obsessed with these yesterday on Pinterest and INSTANTLY thought of Anna!😆 I ended up creating a new board called "My Horse" because you can match outfits with beautiful horses! And looks so Ahhhh... Haha!
Thank you, Anna. I do have a pair of tall rain boots and colorful waterproof trench coat. I am considering to bring them with me when going to Machu Picchu.
Hi Anna, I just love your good taste. I work in science and in fact I have to deal with lots of chemicals that have damaged some of my nicest clothing pieces. Since that I decided to wear jeans everyday as they are comfortable and more resistant. I would adore if you could give us some advice in how styling jeans/denim into a classier outfit for work or even high profile conferences 😉. Love from Washington DC 💋
Morning Anna, missing examples rain boot brand and picture black shoes with trousers. I love your channel, and the way you present yourself. Keep on going.
Hi Anna. Great choices. I have always adored Victorian boots. I also like the equestrian look. Where I live in Canada rain boots are a necessity. Great tips and great video. Thanks.
I loooove your blouse. The collar, the fabric, the tone... And there I was thinking neutral is boring. I'm glad your video validated some shoes I just bought, and love the look of, but wasn't sure if I should keep. They're more formal than regular jodhpurs. Dark red, but so dark you can't tell, except you know it's not black, or brown, which is why I love them. I'm glad you advised not to wear them with skirts or dresses though because I would have😂 and then I would wonder why do these not, look right?
Anna i live in your home country sweden and the winters are so cold! what type of winter boots are practical and elegant? i am struggling so much with this!
I have 2 pairs of Victorian lace up boots: one in black, one in brown. They are replicas, which mean they have a very attractive heel, not a pencil heel. They look beautiful with a long wool pencil skirt and a well fitted sweater. Very elegant.
It would be so helpful if you could link some boots /shoes that you consider appropriate for each category .A riding boot ,over the knee ect ,I know it's difficult to cater for everyone with many different price ranges .When left to my own devices I often get lost in the sea of endless choices ,asking myself is this going to be good quality , look cheap ? thankyou for all the work you put into these videos ,I love your channel and learning alot ,kind regards~Nicola x

Where is your top from? I love it!
For a good portion of my life I hated my long legs and height but I'm coming into my own and I'm starting to develop a love and appreciation for them. Also a special thanks to your videos and tips. Congratulations on the continued success of your channel!
I hate that I’m so short because I love the over the knee boot 😩
Check out the blog ExtraPetite. She's under 5 ft tall and has a whole blog dedicated to petite fashion, including over knee boots. Enjoy!
Thank you ladies great advice
over the knee works with any height! it makes your leg look long.
If the style or cut of something is appealing to me, I buy it!!😊😊
But anyway, I digress!!
Amy P and Dirty too Oh hey girl! CT native here too!! I’m in NY now but I love and miss New England. It’s the best 😍👋
Ana, blessings 💕
I would love for you to make a video on how to decorate our homes, small or large, apartments, etc. and make it look elegant and expensive whether it’s a modern, antique, eclectic, colorful, etc. it’s nice for any guest to think how great taste we have and I’m good at it but I’m not there yet, still in the process....
Thank you for the video! I love that wall paper, so sophisticated and elegant, perfect background for your complexion and that beautiful blouse ♥️
I love boots I wear them all the time thank you for helping me leveling myself up to confident women Anna looking forward to your next video.
Not everyone can pull off over the knee boots.
agreed. some need to have heels with them
Agreed. I am 5-4 if gravity is not too strong and a curvy 128-130. So OTK boots don’t leave a lot of room between boot top and skirt bottom. Lol. (Not to mention, sometimes I simply can’t bend my knees because a tall shaft boot is too tall. Luckily, I have a shoe repair shop that can cut off about an inch for me..)
true and it can very easily look ‘trashy’ if you will
Same with v necks ,with a very small bust like myself looks horrible ,in my opinion anyway ,unless you have the model type figure she mentions .
✋
I live in a country side and my Hunters are super useful and they do look very nice. Also a fan of equestrian and overknee boots.
Yes i just bought hunter refined boots i think they look highend stylish and appropriate
Perfect timing, I am going shoe shopping today :)
Same here!
@ The Examined Life....how fun that you’re shoe shopping. Perfect timing. What brands are you looking into? I’ve read it’s best to shoe shop in the mornings so yhat the feet and toesies have not gotten swollen. Not sure if that’s accurate.🙂🌸
Anna you look amazing! ❤ Your skin is gorgeous!!
Yes sexy not elegant. Shes been missing the mark lately. Enjoy your boots.
I think in an earlier video about shoes, she said that over knee are straight up not elegant
She said without heels. Also the material matters.
@@allisond5669 it really depends on that material. Cheap materials look trashy. Leather is never trashy. The opposite of vulgar is expensive.
Loved this intro. No frills. Just straight facts.
No se como viví tanto tiempo sin tus videos !!!!!! 😍amo tu estilo 🥰
Rain boots can be high end leather - Dubarry or the high gloss Hunters. I still have green Hunter wellies. You need these if you are around stables or polo practice.
I just bought the matt Hunter Refined boots , is gloss better?
Anna, I am a stay at home mother of two young boys and want to elevate my style. However I need everything to be functional and suitable to be with my boys. Could you do a video just for mothers that a with children, at parks, need to be able to walk, maybe run a little, get up and down from playing with the children etc etc. thank you sooo much!
I was literally looking for shoes for fall when the notification came up! Always on time, Anna!
can't wait for your winter fashion tips ❤️
I am happy you consider some of my favourite shoes elegant😄 I love my two pairs of overknee suede boots on thicker high heels, especially the burgundy ones. My classy riding boots really lasted for years but now I prefer over ankle leather shoes.
Anna do you have a video on color? And teaching what colors are best for certain skin colors? I know it’s not clothing, but, color is important as well. Thank you!!
Your blouse is absolutely gorgeous! Perfect color for you!
Anna, how is your hair that perfect all the time?? Please show us your hair secrets🤩 my hair is so wild lol
I love boots, but I have a large, muscular calf and unless styles come in extended calf sizes, I can't wear them. Thank goodness you included rain boots, though. Those usually fit my calf.
The high end knee boots can be from Fairfax and Favor or from House of Bruar. Riding boots from Dubarry.
I knew Anna was going to say riding boots! 💕 I have a "model shape" but my legs look so skinny in boots. What about leg warmers? Are they still classy?
Kisses from Tanzania 🇹🇿 love you 😍
Am from Tz too
Sia Charles 🥂❤️❤️
Thank you for mentioning the Victorian Shoes, omg what a piece of ART!
Love boots! Especially stretch suede over knee. Wedge heels are very comfortable, with a platform.
Elegant fashion is about looking as feminine as possible in every circumstance.
Would love to see a video of you wearing outfits and how to put them together.
I love the Victorian lace up boots! So cool 😎 6:39
I always like your videos even before watching the entire thing, please make more winter videos, ❤️
I actually have those exact rain boots by Emilio Pucci! Sooooo cute.
Wow I didn’t know about Jodhpurs even though I’m Indian. Thanks Anna for that piece of info 😍
Love your advice. Could you provide more visual examples of shoes you are referring to.
My question may be silly, but I woukd like to know when you wear nuce trousers, do you tuck them into your boots? Either below the knee or ankle length?
Would you mind mentioning the eyeshadow you wear? It is very pretty and fresh looking.
You look so pretty today. I love that shirt.
Hey Anna! Watched your video with interest as always but i am wondering now... how come oxford shoes are not on the list? Do you consider them not to be elegant/classy?
is it me or she became more elegant and taller?
and also thinner!
looking her best yet😘❤️❤️❤️
Hi Anna, love your channel ❤️ would you please make a video for petite girls?! Thank you sooo much
Before even watching, I already know Horse rider boots have to make your list, even if you're not riding horses. 🤣
I KNEW IT, #2..."Riding Boots "
I became strangely obsessed with these yesterday on Pinterest and INSTANTLY thought of Anna!😆 I ended up creating a new board called "My Horse" because you can match outfits with beautiful horses! And looks so Ahhhh... Haha!
Nice top where can i find something similar? Can you please add some links to your clothing? Thanks
I love how delicate you look without the tan! ❤️ so polished!
It will appreciated if you can display pictures of do and don’ts of how to wear highly knee boots
Ok this top you are wearing is lovely. I love that blush/tan/neutral palette. So flattering for those of us that have a lighter skin tones
Morning Anna, missing examples rain boot brand and picture black shoes with trousers.
I love your channel, and the way you present yourself. Keep on going.
Always rain boots🙌 black lace-up to the knee wedge boot for winter for me💓
Hi Anna. Great choices. I have always adored Victorian boots. I also like the equestrian look. Where I live in Canada rain boots are a necessity. Great tips and great video. Thanks.
Good video. Very elegant satin blouse.
Happy blessed Sunday love ❤️👩🏫🇿🇦💐
I love your outfit and look in this video. The colour suits you so well Anna.
I'd love a video on petite fashion or shoes that are best for petite women.
The last boot style is my favorite
Very helpful advice
Here i am watching this in the heart of the caribbean!
Ainomira Ilario if you ever come to Scotland, you will be prepared, especially if you have rain boots 😀 We call them ‘wellies’ short for Wellingtons.
@@ReaghanReilly a visit to Schotland in the fall, that will be the bomb!
