Thank you this brings back so many memories when I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston we used to come down to the Riverwalk and go to the mall. This was 1989. They would serve me alcohol because I was in my class B's. 19 years old having a beer at the Rivercenter Mall in 1989 San Antonio....priceless.
Hi Tom. Thank you so very much for your wonderful video. An amazing place.Really beautiful.Thank you very much for taking us all along with you.Take great care always Tom.And of course your LTC too.
Thanks pal, have not been there since 2012, very special place, the Alamo, the River walk, and the Tower of the America's at the 1968 worlds fair location grounds. Much to see and do.
The Riverwalk is now developed for 15 miles of urban waterway. The Riverwalk has several districts. There is the central loop Riverwalk, Museum Reach, Pearl District, Eagleland, Lone Star/South River, and the Mission Reach. The S.A. River is actually 225 miles long and reaches the Gulf of Mexico. San Antonio attracts nearly 40 million annual visitors making it one of the most visited cities in the country. The city is developing its second urban downtown waterway which is 4 miles long called San Pedro Creek cultural Park which has a Riverwalk feel and is dubbed as San Antonio's second Riverwalk.
Was at Lackland AFB in the summer of 1983. The way I remember it the Alamo was on one end and you worked your way down the River walk and ended up at the Tower of the Americas. I don't remember the name of the place but they had the best damn pizza I ever had down there. A long time ago!
Thanks for the video. It looks really nice. Hoping to visit there soon. 💕Everyone's wearing shorts so it looks kind of hot. I have to prepare for that.😬

If yain't from there, I advise avoiding Riverwalk restaurants unless you know where you're going. And that's because most of them are really medioicre, and overpriced. Rather, head out to Mi Tierra, Don Pedros, Las Palapas, or Taqueria la Tapatia (just to name a few) for the good stuff.
Just visited and no tourists anywhere.......downtown is partially destroyed because of nitely riots and hotels charge 18% room tax.......so not again!!
I have not been in San Antonio in 10 years. This video was pure nostalgia for me. Thank you.
My wife&I went there on our honeymoon back in 06..The Alamo was nice to see

Taken the full tour on the River Walk a few times...always a pleasure!
We were just there this past Friday and Saturday! Beautiful, but hot. We took the boat ride around 9 a.m. perfect time!
I'll be there next week. I'm dreading the heat. Does it at least cool off a little at night?
@@Westcoastguy yeah it gets cold at night but it really ain’t that hot he must of went in summer when it averages 90 degrees

I'm a San Antonian and I LOVE New Orleans!!!
Good place to live
Where is a good place to stay either on the River Walk itself or close by?
My sisters house. ;-)
@@TomHallOnline Wish I knew her :0)
Stay at the Havana Hotel. It's located on the river at a quiet bend away from the tourists but close enough to walk into the heart of the activity.
@@jamesdooling4139 how is it on a Sunday?
@@tashiraburton I went on a Sunday morning once in November and it was absolutely dead. Surreal experience really

Recycled water from toilets feed the river and more. But water is clean.
That's a dirty creek
