If I had to start from scratch the total cost would be around $40. $25 for the vise, $10 for the oak and $5 for the dowel. I found enough 2x4 and 2x6 in the dumpster to make a new top, the tool well and the base so that material is free. If I had to buy the lumber as well total would be roughly $100
Very good. Simplicity + practicality = elegance. Not te superficial appearance of the thing. Well done my friend.
Thank you
Looks nice.
@@johnathonnichols thank you
Looks good. More mass is nice until you have to take it somewhere!
If I need more mass I guess I can add weights but so far it is working fine. Thanks Chris
I counted 3:09 till the last part was mounted.
Thanks. Not too bad to assemble a bench.
What do you think your total cost is for this newer version of the workbench?

Kind of uggy but checks all your boxes and pretty clever.
If you think it is "kind of uggy" you should see it in person. Then you'd say just plain ugly but it works. Thanks for the comment.
