This was a true final boss song. Tested all your skills. Wasn't just about moving fast. You actually had to switch up rhythms. Move from fast to slow and back to fast. Gallup. Tripple step. All sorts of stuff.
That is the best way to describe this song, "The final boss". I could do most songs on Heavy somewhat comfortably or at least Standard mostly, but Maxx Unlimited I was lucky if I could do Light. As I got better I could survive Standard but barely, but Heavy was always out of reach. Definitely requires full body muscle memory, but gosh it's so epic and the music really nails what a "Final boss DDR theme" should be. Plus it naturally being 300 bpm means they can play with the speed a lot more. It's a bit easier if you cut the arrow speed in half.
It has been years since I thought of DDR and this came up randomly on youtube. My heart beat actually picked up pace just from the memory of this song. Knowing this meant moving dancing shaking. I miss the times with friends DDR in arcades.
I didn't get my own place til 30 where I could comfortably set up a DDR station in my garage or bottom floor, but after getting the house I just never had time. I really want to get back into it though. DDR is such a good time and a great way to get in shape if you don't want to go outside. Ideally you want a metal dance pad as the plastic ones rip easily and tend to move around a lot but the whole arcade set up is quite expensive. Still once you have it, you have it for good.
this is.... the hardest song for me tbh. i can get A's and AA's on so many other songs on heavy but ive never been able to even pass maxx unlimited on heavy ;-; i guess i just gotta git gud
+Psychoprism, I pass this in heavy but only i get a "B" maximum. I think The Legend of Max is harder (i get maximum a "C", and Max period is the hardest for me, (i cant pass in heavy) This level maxx unlimited in heavy is similar in difficulty to paranoia survivor max 290.
@@el_aguiluch0386 Always loved how the "Maxx" songs are the "Final bosses" of the DDR max series. I heard those 4 are the hardest and fastest songs, being among the few 10 footer difficulties (and Bag which is really slow but has a very difficult rhythm filled with gallups).
Good thing DDR Max has clapping in practice mode. Something I REALLY wish Pump it up had cause some of the arrows and rhythms are deceptive. It kind of mostly syncs with the drum beat in the background as usually Heavy songs tend to sync with the fastest rhythm in the song, but some of them are kind of arbitrary (Look up the song "I love you baby" from Pump it up, good song, but I have NO idea what the arrows are syncing too as it seems to line up with the guy singing then switch to the reggaeton drum beat part way through then alternate between the two.)
+Joey C I disagree with that actually. MEI Expert, on the bounce Challenge, I'm so Happy Challenge, Engraved Mark Expert, and True Blue Expert are all easier than this in my opinion.

Yep, to me this should have been have been in ddr extreme, felt more menacing than the legend of max

the difference between modern and old DDR players is displayed prominently in this comment section lol
It's a middle of the road 16
Honestly I find this a tad bit easier than Max 300
