@defiantgti you should always do what you're comfortable with! cash is okay, you can trade 50% of the account every day.

Are you using leverage on a 100$ account? And you can day trade?
The only reason for the PDT rule is to benefit the broker so they get a steady flow of interest on the $25k. If they were concerned with poor people losing money they would ban the lottery

tell your government to abolish that PDT rule
PDT-Rule also applies to account holder from other countries, so that is a point
I think the pdt rule should be kept, it saves a lot of beginners from getting slapped by leverage
Great video I started same challenge with 118 dollars to fine tune my mistakes on a cash account in October it is now up to 1500 not been easy but gives me down time to evaluate mindset prior to adding more cash to account

that 6X buying power can be used over and over throughout the day? It looked like he made a trade that would have ate up 8k or whatever power he had then he went and made another trade.
it's still a small account
i started trading monday with 's150 dollars i now have an account of 253.47 all on 2 dollar stocks your videos your book and my reading on how to understand candlestick patterns. this is so much fun the way you have to analyze everything ive been enjoying this even though it's and emotional rollercoaster. and today on my simulater ive won 57% of my trades and made over 2000 dollars in the simulator i found using the simulator while watching you trade makes everything click a lot better thank you for everything you do and i look forward to builing my account to the point where i can afford to join your warrior trading classes but until then ill continue to watch you on youtube

This is why I prefer sterling over DAS with a small account. Sterling would actually calculate the precise buying power you had on any stock with the shift 1 hotkey. It knew the leverage rules CMEG has. DAS seems to not know what you actually get leverage for, so it just calculates the buying power it thinks you have. Too much guess work.
Trade 2 was not a dip and rip set up. Upon continuation it was 2.97 you bought at 3.05.
I started with a dollar and made it double and still continuing (new and increasing confidence while learninknowledge)

Small account trading with leverage is crazy but it’s how u come up. Once you have a couple grand you can ease off but to build initially you need that leverage tbh once 5k is in don’t really need the leverage unless you see a great opportunity then capitalize of course while managing risk

Great video, you made it look so easy. Can you make your mouse cursor more visible, I am having hard time trying to see what are you clicking and looking at?
One main take away difference between myself starting out and your restart at 1000 that I could see; not using margins at the beginning. I would never use more then I have to back up my account. A person starting at a 1000 dollar account probably could not risk losing the extra cash on a red day it might have taken them months to save up the thousand so maybe only using 300 or so to trade out of that thousand for a trade. Is my thinking wrong?

Ross, you're a great teacher and much appreciated! Reading some of the comments, maybe your next small account challenge could be one where you start with $1K and grow it to $3K without using margin?
It could prove more valuable and better simulate what it takes for a beginner starting out with $500 or $1K in a cash account without margin.
They would see the discipline and focus it takes to grow a small account without the perils of using margin. If they can grow $1K to $3K, they will know they can make it as a trader if they can find the discipline to do the hardest thing--cutting their losses quick without emotion. Just an idea.... Jake
Nopp. 2-4-6x leverage is the standard. These are not cdf 100-200x. If you cannot use the basic of basic tools. You should not even be approaching using real money.
@DaytradeWarrior If you click on the area of the DAS montage where it says "HTB", it will show the margin requirement for that stock. An issue with your BP*.9 calculation is that DAS does not account for it being below or above $5, so a $4 stock with 16.67% margin requirement will still be calculated with full leverage.

Ross this is great but can show us your net profit and the fees for each day (comms and ecn fees). The gross profits is a bit misleading.
I’m subtracting fees at end of each day, except for last day, which I’ll update at beginning of next episode

If you have less than $25K on your account and trade everyday your account will get flagged and you won’t be able to trade again for months 😂😂😂
I traded CVX today with $22 hundred and made $500 bucks. I purchased the 160 May 10 call $2.33 and sold it at 2,66
That was my second trade. I have one left so now I have to wait till next Wednesday to get the two trades back

If you trade futures it's possible to do this if you know what you are doing. If not then likely not.
I really do have a question. For someone with less than $5,000 to invest, how would you recommend we enter the market? I am looking at studying some traders and copying their strategy rather than investing myself and losing money emotionally. What’s your take on this approach?

You can do either way, but in these trades I waited to resumption then hit the buy button

Man you really need to be correct when your using your entire account for each trade! Or do you just set really tight stops before your entry?

With this broker you can't have leverage even if a stock goes over five. If it started the day under five. That's why you have your settings to put only partial fills that are possible

1) Does anyone know what broker is Ross using to allow him trade in margin account avoided the PDT rule?
2) when he exiting his position I know he’s using hockey, he’s exiting on the ask, right? I mean yes, I understand depend on each trade, sometimes he bail out and he’s probably doing it on the bit - but my question is when he’s exiting a winning trade he’s most likely doing it on the ask, correct?

What software are you using to execute trades? where you can also see the level 2 and tape. I know which broker you use, but do they provide level 2, Tape and the software to execute orders? Thanks.
I trade Forex with a $400 account, a regulated broker, and 1 : 30 leverage
I can pull $20 - $50 a day.
Of course that doesn't account for losing days
I got it up to $600, but I'm back down to $450
There's a more realistic outlook for those looking to get into trading, but you're not gonna see any RUclips videos about that.
(Also, if I had higher leverage, I would've blown the account by now.
So don't think more leverage = more money)
I really don't know where these people get off giving new traders unrealistic expectations and generally bad advice
how much is your subscription after the 2 week ends?
How do you deal with taxes when using an offshore account? The US brokers make you sign a tax form while opening and they send you a tax form, but I'm guessing that doesn't happen with offshore account
How do you get leverage on a cash account?
This might be stupid question but I read day trading restrictions don’t apply to cash accounts.. only margin.. if I’m using my cash in the account not using margin doesn’t that make my account a cash account?
Kind of a nuts and bolts question here, most accounts that offer leverage are margin accounts and limit day trading, are you still using a cash account in this challenge?
