Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I love this video. It's simple and straightforward. It doesn't get into the technical jargon which is actually easy to pick up. This video highlights the essential actions. Thank you so much!!!!
Very very very helpful I am B. Sc nursing 3rd year student and I am studying normal labor and mechanism of labor and your explanation is completely understood 👏👏
Yep… I am having a C section. Baby is way too big I am way too small for all that to happen smoothly 🤣👍. Great video, great way to explain it clearly and slowly.
@@meriemmz9012 Baby and I came out of the C section in perfect health. She is now 4 months old. Sometimes a C section can save a baby and/or a mother. Each case is different.
This is a good presentation! (LOA/ROA) I would just like to clarify that the baby's shoulder will not be able to pass the pelvic INLET with a LATERAL position because the INLET's diameter is approx. 11 cm Anterior-posterior and 13 cm Transverse, this makes the shoulder parallel to AP diameter of 11 cm shorter than the Transverse diameter, but if the baby's shoulder also rotates during the 3rd Cardinal Movement --Internal Rotation-- the position of the baby's shoulder will also rotate makes it parallel to Transverse diameter. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
instead of memorizing number and so there's a small trick to understand the first is that the pelvic inlet transverse diameter is longer than the antro posterior diameter and that the outlet is antro posterior diameter is longer than the transverse so the fetus head (antro posterior diameter is longer than transverse) so the fetus just enter the inlet with his head antroposterior diameter pararrel to the transverse pelvic diameter line so to keep on mind that after passing through the inlet the fetus have to do rotation so he suit the best wide diameter after fetus head presented through the vagina he gonna be on flexion status facing the anus of the mother then he passive do extension with external rotation so the rest of his body come out part by part
And I think the best way to teach these things is when you start with the normal position demonstration and description after that the teaching flows nicely, thanks
Thanks for trying but we wanted more terms like decent, flexion engagement, rotation internal rotation and external rotation, extension, restitution and lateral delivery and the beginning was good but the last part of lateral delivery was amess
1. Decent 2.Flexion 3.Internal rotation of Head 4.Crowning 5.Extension of head 6.Restitution 7.Internal rotation of shoulder 8.External rotation of head 9.Lateral flexion of body .
@@jithinbabu2196 we learnt that engagement is before descent. When the largest diameter of the fetal head engages with the widest diameter of the pelvis

Hello AmyTyler3
Nice video but I was looking for you to say the terms Descent, Engagement, Flexion, Internal Rotation, Extension and Internal Rotation
last movement is external rotation :
same

You are the best midwife who presented a simplified cardinal movements of labour. Thank you

A C section is not the solution .. it'll affect both you and the baby!

@@meriemmz9012 Please study about normal delivery and c-sections, cause it doesn’t seem like you know enough to make that comment.
@@marythr2617 I didn't know that it was necessary for you I thought you wanted it just to skip normal delivery! I'm happy for you!!

It was really helpful!!!..tysm for this simple explanation with clear demonstration....Got it into my head😁

Thanks for this illustration and explanation. It has clarified some confusions.
which one is the external rotation?
Was sooo good!
Thank you mam for letting me easier to do conduction.... Tomorrow my first conduction
thank you a lot for this video! though I have a question--- which shoulder is released first? anterior or posterior? thanks a lot im advance

Normal should be in LOA position not RT position
You mean baby's back to the mom's left? If so, I was thinking the same
