- Today on Homeworthy we're heading to St. Louis, MO, to visit the home of interior designer Amy Studebaker. Six years ago, after touring over 100 homes, Amy, her husband, and their son moved into this house and made it their own through renovations. Amy is known for her talent in layering color and pattern, and blending new and antique concepts. She has created a home that is fresh, inviting, and timeless. Enjoy!

I love people who lean hard into their personal style in their homes. You can see how excited she is talking about how each space makes her so happy and what a wonderful thing. We should all get to live in a beautiful home that reflects our taste and style. As she said, it may not all be for everyone but it must feel like the warmest hug to be surrounded by the things you feel are beautiful and reflective of your family and self. Loved this tour!
It certainly is reflective of her ultra feminine taste ...doubtful if does of her husband and son
Totally agree!
@@Grandstreet1 Most straight western men don't interfere with home decor, most wouldn't notice if a room changed colour whilst he was at work. As long as they have a comfortable chair they don't care. Just how it should be.
Well said! ❤
That dress Amy is wearing is the ULTIMATE HomeWorthy Hostess dress. I love it!!!
I’ve never seen such a diverse collection of fabrics and designs and colors that bear no relationship to each other, but come off looking absolutely fabulous! Beautiful home…beautiful fun lady. 👍🏻
Agree. Very inspiring the way she does it.
Oh I LOVE following Amy on IG. I also love that you are posting new tours every single day and often multiple times a day. So much content!!!
Yep…truly unique and special…gorgeous home ❤❤. She’s done an amazing job….cohesive maximalism. She’s got such a genuine lovely personality…..I love her laughter too.
Pretty house and I love her dress! 🌷
We didn’t get to see the powder room- just the wallpaper over and over and a snippet of the vanity! 🙁
I kept hoping to see what she was talking about.
I know right? I was a little disappointed on that one. Everything else, gorgeous!
I totally agree!
Love Amy and her home, have followed her on instagram for years. It's interesting how in a video you can get more of an idea of the atmosphere in a home. I love it even more now!
I enjoyed seeing all the color and pattern choices. It provides me with some ideas and inspiration. I couldn’t do all of those patterns within one home, but I do envy people that are so confident in their choices for wallpaper and just go for it.
Homeworthy, a note for you- I’ve commented this before on some other videos- it is very frustrating to not see details that the host is speaking of. I started to make a list this time to be specific because it was so frustrating. The powder room was minimally show and the sink/mirror area was not shown; the kitchen floor was not shown when she was speaking of the details; and the bar table detail was not shown. Please find a way to edit in things that are mentioned or go in tighter when a homeowner is pointing them out.
Agreed 100% on the side Note to Homeworthy.
I commented the same. They don't do anything to improve the one thing on which their channel is about.
Totally agree 👍
Totally agree🎉
My favorite home tour . She is so delightful ❤ love every room ESPECIALLY the portrait of her look alike . Love her bubbly personality!
She was a delight to watch. Her home is beautiful.
My goodness, 8 minutes in & I never thought we’d leave the foyer. Beautiful home ✨
lol 🎉
Her home and personality are full of warmth and charm. I love all the layering and different patterns that she has used in her home. One of my favourites for its uniqueness. She's very talented.
It’s giving Palm Beach/Grandmillenial vibes, very pretty colors and patterns. I could see a sisal stair runner on the entry stairs. The living room is lovely.
I can’t imagine my husband having a design/decorating opinion, he barely notices if I hang art on the wall 😂
So while design junkies are busy deciding how to update mid-century or farmhouse modern to include a bit more layered, patterned, color, wonder how long it will take to “flip the switch” again. I do think “timeless Grandma” with some new, fresh twists probably always turns out to be the safest investment 😁
Love the comfort of blue and green!
I LOVE the footstools for the cream chairs.
Also someone else said this on another post but we need details on all the beautiful dresses these women wear. So lovely.
Tuckernuck, Zimmermann, Pucci, Dolce Gabbana crop up fairly regularly. Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch are good shouts too. If you're into the preppy look (it's my personal favorite), those are my favorites 🌸
Hunter Bell Holloway dress! Gorgeous!
She seems so fake. She needs to take it down a notch. And let her true personality show.
The barstools at her kitchen island and the cushions on the barstools were seriously breathtaking and she told us where she bought them, which is so nice!!!
Amy is adorable and so full of life. Her home has gone straight to the top of my favourites. I really didn't want this tour to end, i kept checking how many minutes were left of the video. I'm so disappointed we didn't get to see more rooms upstairs or to see details in her cabinets. Yet again, Homeworthy, why doesn't the person with camera show more of the home than the host? We had Amy explaining her powder room and her and her visitors love of the vanity unit yet you only filmed her until one split second, then it was gone. Honestly, do these people know it's a 'home tour', not a host tour they are filming. Every video your followers are writing comments like this. Do better!
Agree
Another beautifully personalized home! Thank you! 😊
Stunning! Her talent for choosing color and pattern is exceptional (reminds me of Sarah Richardson). She loves her home so much and it shows in the design and in her personality. What a beautiful family Home! Definitely in my top three for Homeworthy and may very well be #1.
I can’t relate. I am looking for inspiration and ideas, but not from people I can’t relate. I have noticed that home tours from people living in different countries are more aligned to my personal ethos, style, approach and budget without having to break the bank. Creativity, intent and passion to decor are NOT necessarily tide up to buying, buying and buying because “I want it and I can’t live without it.”
So agree with you 🎉
Pretty house and gorgeous dress Thanks for sharing
I have been following Amy for years . She is not only extremely talented, but friendly and adorable not the least bit pretentious.
I’m only a minute and a half into her tour, and I’ve already decided that she will be my design captain when my ship comes in 😄
Amy is BEAUTIFUL, and so is her home.. so endearing and just engaging. I LOVE her home
What a bubbly personality ❤
When women say they don’t cook. How do they eat? Take out all the time. Beautiful home❤️
I've always wondered that too...
They do what I do. I more "reheat" than cook. I make salads and use a meal delivery service.
Maybe their husbands cook 😊
I Worked For A Female Doctor. Lots Of Frozen Food & Salads For Dinner.
Really what a waste of a beautiful kitchen! I want to scream "Take a class!"
I love her house, even though it's not my style. I would love to know the names of her paint colors!
What a wonderful tour of a gorgeous home!! Every bit of space is so beautiful, and as others have said, seeing how much she loves, and is excited about her home is wonderful!! She is clearly grateful and I'm here for it!!!! 🤩
I wish the photographer would have scanned the rooms more while hearing about the space. I wanted to see the floor that was talked about. Not to be critical, but I would have liked to see more of the sink base in the bathroom. Lovely home! That lady is so blessed
The kitchen color cabinets are just pretty love that color 🩵 again with a precious doggie to go with it 🤍
I love the colour combination.💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💙💚💯👌💯💯💯👌👌👌💐💐💐
Love that she is so happy about her collections love her enthusiasm! At first when she said it can be a bit of a challenge to make décor decisions with her husband I was wondering about that then it occurred to me that’s wonderful that her husband cares about their home and he has his tastes entwined in their home too! Many husbands don’t care at all then who can you get excited with who can you show or talk to about your latest find? Actually sad when your guy doesn’t care or not interested. Best wishes to her for many more happy days of treasures and beauty in her home!!
OMG. When you spoke of your coffee table… I had to laugh. Any damage that has been done in my house has been done by me. 😊
Amy's enthusiasm is contagious! Her home is beautifully put together, and I found myself smiling all the way through the tour. It's refreshing to hear someone say that they actually use their living room, and Amy has succeeded in making both beautiful and practical. Totally delightful video.
Another one....can't wait to watch this one too!
I wish the camera person would zoom in more on the actual details in the room.
Amy Studebaker's guest bedroom suite for the 2023 Kip's Bay Decorator's Showhouse in Palm Beach is probably my favorite Kip's Bay bedroom in all of Kip's Bay history!!!! I love all decorator show houses not just Kip's Bay and out of all the showhouses I have seen throughout life Amy's bedroom ranks up there as my all time favorite show house bedroom with Cathy Kincaid's pink inlaid dream bedroom inspired by Marella Agnelli's Moroccan bedroom for Flower Magazines Atlanta Showhouse... I couldn't believe that the 2023 Kips Bay house was Amy's first decorator's showhouse, she knocked it out of the park!!!
My gosh her home is stunning. I lean somewhat more transitional/"soft" contemporary, with more neutral colors, but her furniture, accessories, etc., are all gorgeous!
Biscuit ❤❤❤ Beautiful home!
Not judging but I'm wondering what/how you eat without cooking? Take out all the time or what? Sounds great to me :)
It sounds like they do use the kitchen so maybe she means she doesn't cook from scratch and leans on pre-prepared meals.
Maybe her husband is the cook?
Uncluttered. Organized. Lots of personality.
That was you in another life....never know! She looks exactly like you. I wish I could find something that, so special
I very rarely watch an entire episode but your use of color and pattern just drew me in. So perfectly done
I always feel sad when someone says, “I don’t cook.” Lovely home, the drapes and fabrics are gorgeous!
She’s beautiful and her smile and personality are winners. Her home has just the perfect curated styling and colors… lovely.
I love how excited & energized she is about her home. Her home is beautiful
Anyone know where the rechargeable lamp is from?
I ran to follow her on IG, her enthusiasm is infectious and her home has the perfect mix of patterns and color and I loved it!
Excellent and beautiful interiors and an excellent host! She was excited to share with us which makes it more fun and interesting.
I've never really been a pattern person, however... This may have changed my mind. It is so beautifully done! Well done.
I loved everything about this home! Our Host was fantastic - love her energy and excitement about her home and decorating.
The Dining Room is so beautiful, the colours all blend so well 💛
I love these houses with so much colour. Very brave and so beautifully executed. Lovely host as well. Thanks for sharing.
The cushions on the kitchen bar stools are so pretty ❤
Lovely, lovely, lovely, lovely. Lovely.❤
So sweet when people really love to talk about their trifted finds
Maximalist heaven... love it!
@homeworthy, I see lots of your videos where the camera person is not showing the actual space that the homeowner is referencing, in this video for example the homeowner is talking about her powder room's wallpaper, ceiling and sink etc. and it is hardly being shown. Could you at least signal to the homeowner to step aside so you can show the space while they talk. What is the point if we can't see it!!
Agreed. They do this too often where it’s just the host yammering on and on.
Love following Amy! She has beautiful taste and her dress is gorgeous!!!!
Seriously beautiful home and delightful hostess.
Can't or won't? I think anyone can cook or put a plant in a pot lololol Lovely home!
I’m certain she is quite capable of constructing simple meals when needed as I do. Many women today especially those with busy careers just don’t cook myself included. A Lot of husbands also enjoy cooking and I’m so fortunate that mine does! Prepared meals services are great alternatives too.
@@robinseay3486 you are a lucky woman then. I too worked and raised two children and always had a hot nutritious meal prepared for dinner even tho I drove in bumper-to-bumper traffic to and from NYC and knew I had a nite of homework to help them with. I realized that their childhoods were short lived and soon they would be out in the world, so I savored every motherhood duty because of it. Now I am going to be 62, my son is now 40 and my daughter us 31 and I miss all of it. I can honestly say I brought home the bacon and fried it up in a pan. I did it all, I worked full time, raised two awesome kids, did the orthodontist appt's, showed up for all of their events at school, handled all the doctors appts for them, put them both through college, kept them both out of trouble, raised a lady and a man. I am now the grandma and loving it. It was my privilege to raise my kids and I am proud of me. It can be done I'm proof. It's not for wimps that's for sure.
What a fun tour! Always enjoyed seeing Amy on IG but this was really fun to see an in-depth tour.
Loved this tour ❤
I love the traditional design of homes! this one is beautiful!
What an awesome home tour. She is delightful and so enthusiastic about her home and lived that she shared so many details. Everything is well thought out and each room blends into another in that she uses similar colours. I’m thinking s nice place for the bamboo chairs might be under the window in the upstairs hallway. A place for two people to sit. ❤❤❤❤
Bella! Just beautiful.
Gorgeous home, I adore it! Thank you !
Painting is my favorite. Love the house and how you decorated it. Colors are not garish and flow so well
I just LOVE what you did with your home. ❤
Enjoyed her floral fabrics and wallpapers
She is the cutest.
Great one!! Love her passion
Thinking up until 17:13 …This gal has the heart of a southerner and yup Ya’ll comes out… or maybe she’s from Texas? Just love her homestyle.
I love EVERYTHING!
Such a beautiful home❤
Beautifully done!
How come nobody cook in those nice kitchens? But I like the house and style and colors ...
Great home. I love your dress!
Love this home and her excitement is so lovely 🥰 the painted floors are gorgeous and the color is perfect in every room if she would come help me do the same in my home I would hire her in a second:)
Gorgeous❤
Beautiful home
She's a very sweet woman, very inviting.....the children's rooms are adorable and eccentric....love! Each room by itself is beautiful ....but....all together it's too much imo. Gorgeous design and talented for sure.
Your home is stunning! I absolutely love your kitchen and I agree with your decision not to have upper cabinets if they're not needed💗💗💗💗
Gorgeous!
I love the dress.... equally as much as the house
Delightful!
Nice to see a home with some color [but to me still to much white] . So many homes are all white, including flooring, decoration and furniture
Very different because it’s youthful yet sophisticated.
Amy's home is beautiful! I would love to know where she purchased the touch lamps on either side of the fireplace.
I’ve noticed that all the women designers wear dresses when they present their homes.
It's a popular choice, but if you look at the thumb nails quite a few are not wearing a dress.
Some of the women dress very casual in pants for their home tours!
This home is awesome, but the staircase is screaming for a sisal runner.
Charming!
This is a very pretty home. I love the mix of antiques with more modern items. I would love to know what the fabric is on the drapes in the living room and who makes the little brass rechargeable lamps,
I have been gathering happy things to make my home my style and I love the look. I was told by my hubby that it’s a messy eclectic style because he stated nothing goes together. He doesn’t know it, but ALOT of homes have a just put whatever you like together style..I guess to him it’s called Messy Eclectic Style 😑 And he said our home is attracting dust with all the stuff 😒
Una maravilla esta casa y su anfitriona un encanto. Los muebles laqueados en diferentes colores me fascinaron todos. La anécdota del retrato con su doppelganger fue muy interesante y graciosa. Lamente no ver el dormitorio infantil así como también el principal.
Lovely home. Thank you for the tour. I'm wondering if maybe most of us didn't get to see most of the powder room or Master bedroom and bath because you have to "join" to see those?
Her home and style is stunning! Traditional but warm and livable. Is there a place to find paint colors, particularly the white on her walls?
