She's right when she says something like "You either love it or you don't" when talking about her music. I try to describe to my friends how intellegent and fantastic she is. They don't listen, but I'm a Newsom-Nerd.
Wow, great interview. I love listening to people like her talk because they very clearly think before they speak. I think someone said it before, but you can literally see the gears in her head turning. And she's pretty aware of how she's accepted. I loved her younger voice, and I love her new voice. And I really like to hear her stories and interpret them. Anyone else seeing her at the Hollywood Bowl in Sept?

Soft As Chalk is such a jam
A truly unique voice.
YES! Thank you so much! Have been waiting for this.
Check out Bridges and Baloons, from her first album. It's a really great song and it shows what her old voice sounded like really well.
Lol, she's so cute with the first question :) Bless her, she is amazing
'And then i have a harp at home that i kind of revere and am slightly scared of ' hahaha
Such a fascinating interview. Can someone please tell me a title of an early song so I can hear how her voice has changed?
Love love love.
