Install a non trusted Certificate to the Trusted Root Authorities

In this video I will show you how to install a Certificate to your user and local computers Trusted Root Authorities Store. You will want to install a certificate to your trusted root certificate authorities store when you trust the service or website and they are using a non trusted certificate. They may have create the certificate themselves versus buying a certificate from an already trusted source which is why the certificate wouldnt be trusted.

First thing to add here is that you need to run mmc as administrator. Second of all, you can get (or create) a certificate from the IIS. It is not available by default, but you can enable it as an optional feature in Windows in "Turn Windows features on or off" in control panel -> Programs and Features.

U have to export the certificate from the website. U should be able to click on it and hit export and then choose a location and name to store it under. Then follow the video and u should be able to add it to trusted certificates. It took me a good 20 min to wrap my head around it

probably too late for you but in case another has same issue...for me it was under the details tab when you are viewing the certificate. Click copy to file option. select first option (.cer) and browse for location to your desktop. Thank you OP

if you guys want to know how to assign this certificate for remote desktop services you can run the following commands after you have put the certificate into the remote desktop folder
run this command in a administrator command prompt and change the thumbprint to the one on the certificate you are trying to assign
wmic /namespace:\
oot\CIMV2\TerminalServices PATH Win32_TSGeneralSetting Set SSLCertificateSHA1Hash="640e949b35457e047225848f777a3ea733399a1e"

How to install certificate via CLI
you can replace %tmp%\ca.cer with your certificate and path. You must run cmd as administrator
certutil -addstore -f -enterprise -user root %tmp%\ca.cer
