very well done. I thought it was going to be how to cheat on your homework with ChatGPT but I was wrong; its very good way to use the tool to help you learn.
I am a college professor and already have incorporated many assignments in my classes using (and hopefully learning how to use) ChatGPT. I usually enjoy the videos you post and find them useful enough to share with my students. But I have to say this presentation looks like it was created by ChatGPT and would not qualify as a good one based on not only the way the info is delivered but also the arguments presented. I appreciate the disclaimers though.
For teachers who are against having their students using resources like Chat GPT, then they should never assign students assignments requiring interviewing a specialist in one's field. Chatting with a Guru will empower you to kearn more.
I like chatgp 4 and it's latest updates a lot, it gives me curt, clipped and concise answers to anything I need help with and it doesn't try to dumb things down like claude ai and it's infernal moralistic, platitudinous unmitigated wowserism routine ('forgive me', that's my inherent bias I suppose) Don't get me wrong as claude definitely has its uses but, to me, it's a bit patronising but then that's only my opinion! Thanks you so much for the video as it's given me lots of great tips that I'm going to use 👍 full marks on your efforts 😀
@ProductiveDude I have 80 pages of reading, and now I got to answer 18 muiltiple choice questions based on that reading. Is it possible to copy and paste each and every page, one by one, and then ask those questions?
I would create a prompt by breaking down the reading into several parts. Add a persona to your prompt like an expert on your homework topic. Then use your most likely multiple choice questions to get the answers. This may be a bit basic but if you need to save time, using ChatGPT to teach the lesson isn’t going to save time.
Thx for the video.. What I can't figure out how to do is upload an entire 500 page text book to get detailed chapter summaries. Ask your pdf and ai pdf add-ons only allow snipits of the data to go to chatgpt4 and becsuse of this, chatgpt 4 can not create chapter level summaries... Finding a work around would be seriously useful for post secondary students with 1000 page medical textbooks etc.. Please help lol😊
No, using ChatGPT at school or any training doesn't make you retain more knowledge, it makes you retain less of it. Learning to have an effect *must* include a significant amount of challenge. While people who learn prefer to get easy way through the material, it's always those that challenged themselves who get the best results post-training.
Depends from person to person, I’ve learned and retained much better using these methods. It doesn’t have to be hard that’s just what we’re told and what many believe.
@@ai-foundations well, scientific studies say the opposite. The perception of the participants is that they retain more when doing less challenging work, while reality is that they pass tests better if they're doing more challenging work while learning the material. Concern is that you are one of those having the perception issue, then promoting it to countless viewers as something factual.
Generated AI answers to the questions you were supposed to answer, then have to process them in order to humanize them, but no work was done by you to get the answers. Then have to ask ChatGPT to dumb down the material for a child along with a song in order to help you retain the information. Why not go through the mental exercise to answer the questions in the first place in order to actually learn the material without AI. The brainstorming at the end was fine, but when it generates a rough draft, you are fooling yourself if you believe you actually did any work. There are no shortcuts to learning, the mind needs to gather and assemble the ideas in orders to make sense of them for understanding.
High honors student here, using this ai for finding research links is arguably one of the most amazing things I've ever found online. The amount of time it saves to get a solid 3+ credible and citable sources is very helpful, especially when your doing a niche project. Though i agree, anyone who thinks they are learning the material by using ai is a fool. Though that's unfortunately not the goal with most whom use ai
Wow! So much Bias here it's palpable. Your take on using AI in the classroom is far more reaching and not as simplified as you have iterated. I agree with the benefits of using AI. but to think you can simply walk into any situation with it and you're fine, is another story. Use it at Home, by all means . . .as do I If you're going to pose a theory, you have to postulate both sides. There's pros/cons to every aspect of AI/GPT and simply voicing your opinions doesn't debunk them.
@aifoundations I am trying to create an account but I have never received an email confirmation. I sent an email to your support. I am trying to purchase some of your products.
This was so well thought out. Very clear-headed resource brotha!

In future generations we will have bunch of dummies who just rely on AI rather than their brains
