    Another real good idea on the PVC soft jaws. I had been buying copper couplers and doing the same thing you did ,but the cost is getting to be to much. Going to switch to PVC now thanks.

    Good job. As a welder fitter I would suggest that you bevel 1 edge before you weld it. You could mill it square that way.

    Nice one, I wish I’d seen this video before, only yesterday I used copper shims to protect the part I was machining. The plastic pipe great idea although I’ll use copper pipe in the same way,

    I think in my humble opinion that PVC is not a good interview, because PVC in high heat, it melts, and then the tool will fly off the lathe.

    Allora..... a cosa serve inizialmente ad intestare dall'altra parte il tubo in teflon o naylon che sia, se dopo lo devi tagliare in una trancio piu' corto? Per ottenere lo stesso risultato per le camice dei morsetti tornio ci sono altri metodi mooooolto meno dispersivi e faziosi.In torneria bisogna minimizzare i processi.....ad un buon tornitore gli basta solo pensarci un momento.
