I would never suspect that it's a charging port issue as long as it's taking charge i would check the battery based on your method on how to check lithium batteries and if it's good then the charging ic could be faulty also trying different charging cables like you've shown in your other video about charging cables and amperage but it's good to know that even a working charging port can goes bad and affect charging speed
mr sorin i know how to use a dc power supply i have i new dc power supply but when i try to find short nothing get hot in phone or laptop motherboard even i short a capacitor by my self and i put a dc power supply to see if this capacitor that i shorted will be hot but nothing get hot

How about s4 mini i9195 fake charging the output voltage that charges battery gives only 0.5v or 0v but shows its charging, charging port ok something on board is not producing enough voltage to charge battery
Thanx for show me how to repair my charging conector but I want to ask you if possible to make full housing for my Samsung S3?

how much amp and voltage you supplied
Why don't you clean the lead free solder before put the new plug in place?
How you kow dat is charging port, and not IC?
I think he made a guess, if that wont work he would change IC
