The work that has has been done so far is just a mere drop in the bucket of what needs to be done on this main thoroughfare to make it a fully usable, safe and comfortable roadway for users. It is the main route to the Corporate Area for most citizens of the parishes Portland and St Mary. Thanks for this latest update.
Sad news my friend. My request and reservations for cargo ship passage to Jamaica has been suspended till further notice. I'm not sick. But world health situations dictates serious precautions. I can wait to come later..meanwhile I'll enjoy your journey till I come..safe drives from Kentucky usa
#NEWHIGHWAYS# @InJamaica::: I AM NOT SEEING ANY STREET LIGHTS BEEN CONSTRUCTED ALONG THE JUNCTION ST.MARY HIGHWAY...WE AS A COUNTRY CAN'T CONTINUE TO BUILD THE SAME WAY AS IN THE PAST...WE ARE LIVING IN MODERN TIMES,,,ALL OF THE COUNTRY'S MAJOR HIGHWAYS NEED TO HAVE STREET LIGHTS ON THE ROADWAYS...THERE ARE A HOST OF REASONS WHY THE HIGHWAYS SHOULD BE BUILT WITH STREET LIGHTS...SAFETY COMES FIRST,,,ACCIDENTS,,,CHANGING A TIRE AT NIGHT...YOU SEE MUCH BETTER WITH LIGHTS TO SEE WHERE YOU'RE GOING....
This will be the toughest challenge for the Chinese. Junction St. Mary has some really bad terrain. Would have been easier if they had an alternative route and could have shut down to accomplish the excavation.
Thank for your up date ..but as one of your viewers as mentioned about government built.roads withouts street light..it not worth while driving an those darker road way s.at aney..Gaven .night..no..
Why the government did not give the chinese to carry out this work. The area might be small but very challenging to organize workers to work and our road works labourers are not exactly easy people to deal with. Furthermore, the infrastructure required for longevity of the road, needs a whole new level of planning and experience.
it is a shame to see the the condition of our road ways in rural communities across our beautiful Jamaica..what is suppose to be a main road look more like you driving on a back road to some farm land .taxation and no representation. priorities only given to Kingston and st Andrew Jamaica.. with all the murmuring and bashing that was going on at the time just imagin how some part of Jamaica would stay if highway 2000 didnt happen.
These rainy trips are always nice to see
