Hey everyone! I wanted to share a bit about my journey from Christianity to Islam. 🙏 So, I grew up in a Christian family, going to church every Sunday, you know the drill. But one day, I stumbled upon a book about different religions and decided to dive into it. I started learning about Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, and Islam, and something about Islam just clicked with me. I started visiting a local mosque, talking to the Imam, and making friends in the Muslim community. It was amazing to learn about their beliefs and practices. The focus on compassion, submission to one God, and community really resonated with me. After a lot of soul-searching and deep conversations, I decided to convert to Islam. It was a personal choice driven by my quest for spirituality and truth. 😊 My family and friends were a bit surprised at first, but they saw how happy and at peace I was with this decision. It's not about abandoning my Christian background, but rather expanding my spiritual horizons.

*Malcolm X.* In 1963, Malcolm X went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, the birthplace of the Islamic faith. He completely changed his mind about religion, race relations, and violence on that journey. He converted to Islam, and abandoned his belief in violence and separation. Instead, he began to hope for a true brotherhood of all races. He changed his name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz to mark what he said was his journey from darkness to the light. In his now famous letter to his assistants, entitled Letter from Mecca, Malcolm writes: "There were tens of thousands of pilgrims, from all over the world. They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blonds to black-skinned Africans. But we were all participating in the same ritual, displaying a spirit of unity and brotherhood that my experiences in America had led me to believe never could exist between the white and non-white. America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to, and even eaten with people who in America would have been considered ‘white’-but the ‘white’ attitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective of their color." {Malcolm X and Alex Haley, The Autobiography of Malcolm X (New York: Ballantine, 1992), 370.} *Arnold Toynbee.* Arnold Toynbee (d. 1975), a professor of international history at the University of London, writes in Civilization on Trial, "The extinction of race consciousness as between Muslims is one of the outstanding moral achievements of Islam, and in the contemporary world there is, as it happens, a crying need for the propagation of this Islamic virtue." {Arnold Toynbee, Civilization on Trial (New York: Oxford University Press, 1948), 205.}
The Quran is recited by Allah in such a unique way that if you study it, it will not let you. It will make you think and think and think. The way verse are connected, it is just miracle. Quran teaches us to study the Quran like we study the stars! U know, when we r lost in ship in the middle of a sea, and there is no one to guide us, no compress no nothing, if u look at the sky and connect the stars, it will guide u and tell you the right direction! Similarly Quran has to be studied like stars, that way, it will show us the straight way to Allah! Remember, there is only ONE way to Allah, not 4 or 10 etc… Oh Allah guide us to the Straight path❤ So I do swear by the positions of the stars- and this, if only you knew, is indeed a great oath that this is truly a noble Quran, Quran 56:75-77 The same way you must not look at one star to misguide you, you must not isolate Quran and take a verse out of context and conclude while u r mistaken. This is the methodology of studying the Quran 😊

Friend, I'm disappointed that you refer to Deedat as your inspiration. Deedat was a manipulator of eisegesis rather than interpreting the Bible exegetically (in contex) and came against Christians who were clueless about the Qur'an and the HOLES in the Standard Islamic Narrative of the perfect preservation of the Qur'an from Day 1 which Islamic scholars now admit. But his lies were not surprising because Islam allows Taqiyyah because without lies Islam dies. Christians were clueless about the hadiths and couldn't confront Deedat about the pdofile Servant of Allah (Muhammad) who, blessed by his god with the power of 30 men, married a 6 year old and entered her as a prepubercent child of 9 still playing with dolls. Ultimately, Deedat won the day through, misrepresentation of scriptures blended with rhetoric and emotive speeches. But rhetoric and emotive speeches DO NOT equate to the truth. Case in point, Deedat infamously said those who call Jesus "Lord, Lord" (Matthew 7:21-23) would not enter heaven because they committed blasphemy by calling Jesus "Lord"! Wow! Did Deedat even read what the verses actually meant or did he just devilishly and deliberately twist them out of context. BOTH! Did Jesus perhaps forbid people from referring to him as Lord? "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23 Satan doesn't want those who are in the dark to know that Jesus is Lord. Jesus will accept those who HONESTLY called him Lord and live according to the will of the Father, but he will reject those who call him Lord YET do not do the will of the Father But the verses quoted only further confirm Jesus as Lord and the Son of God as Jesus makes reference to the Father! Jesus is also clearly stating that he will judge the world. I feel pity for Deedat and many who consider the certified lier to be their hero. You have been warned: 'Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Matthew 24:30

I am grateful to be a Muslim and I thank Allah for guiding me trillion X. If I hadn't embraced Islam, I would lost my mind and uncertain about how to live my life. Islam has provided me with a clear path to follow from A-Z. Anyone who sincerely seeks the truth and learns about Islam with humility & good intentions can become a Muslim. I have explored all other religions and only Islam resonates with me the most because of its consistency and logical teachings. The #1 lesson I am constantly working on is to live for our Creator. If we want to avoid heartbreak and failure, we should not TAWAF around our loved ones, money, fame, and other worldly desires, we are created to worship Him alone. I am grateful for FREE educations provided by Mufti Menk, Sheikh Mohd, Bilal Assad, Assim Hakeem, Yasmin Mogahed, Chowdary, and Yasir Qadhi etc. They have been instrumental in my journey of learning and understanding Islam. Even after 14 years as a Muslim, I still consider myself a beginner in this beautiful religion. The knowledge I have acquired thus far has brought me immense satisfaction, but I am aware that it is just a drop in the oceans of what there is to learn. Therefore, I continue to seek knowledge every day, recognizing that it is an ongoing process. Islam provides comprehensive guidance on how to live life. The humility & integrity of Prophet Muhammad AS, the story of the two men in the garden (Kahf), the stories of the Sahabas (both men and women), and the stories mentioned in the Quran, all deeply resonate with me. Islam teaches us that life is a test. When faced with difficulties, such as the loss of a child, Islam encourages us to be patient & reflect on the fact that others may have faced even greater hardships. For example, someone else may have lost ten children at once due to an accident. While Evil tells us this life is long, enjoy, keep partying, follow yourself, be a man, woman, or both or even a cat anytime you wish… Islam only teaches us the truth&this beautiful religion do not adjust based on politics, emotions etc. It is non negotiable, the Words of Allah is as it is. I sincerely pray this message ignite a fire within you, and may your thirst for Islamic knowledge be insatiable. I would also like to remind you that the #1 mind-boggling thing about Islam is knowing Allah swt,his Kursi&his attributes. May Allah have mercy on us all.😊
Andrea, ma sha Allah, great post sister, and eloquent too. I like when you said " If I hadn't embraced Islam, I would lost my mind and uncertain about how to live my life" I understand youlife changes: stages upon stages (childhood, teen years, adulthood, maturity, old age, death ), a cycle of health and illness, happiness and sadness, a cycle of ignorance, learning, acquiring knowledge, teaching it, and then may lead to wisdom or despair; a stages of reliance in parents, then starting independence from them, then people may depend on you (your family), a cycle of studying, then working, then teaching, then retiring etc.. all this while having desire for beauty, wealth, food, desire of the "flower of life" (As Quran described it so eloquently) it won't be easy at all to figure the purpose of life without guidance from God thorough his prophets, the religion of God is one, never change from Adam ,through Noah, Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad peace be upon them all. Connection to God and loving him are the answer to sadness and the antidote to depression. May Allah grant you light in your heart, actions, and face, and Jannah and all of us

*Malcolm X.*
In 1963, Malcolm X went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, the birthplace of the Islamic faith. He completely changed his mind about religion, race relations, and violence on that journey. He converted to Islam, and abandoned his belief in violence and separation. Instead, he began to hope for a true brotherhood of all races. He changed his name to El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz to mark what he said was his journey from darkness to the light.
In his now famous letter to his assistants, entitled Letter from Mecca, Malcolm writes:
"There were tens of thousands of pilgrims, from all over the world. They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blonds to black-skinned Africans. But we were all participating in the same ritual, displaying a spirit of unity and brotherhood that my experiences in America had led me to believe never could exist between the white and non-white.
America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to, and even eaten with people who in America would have been considered ‘white’-but the ‘white’ attitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective of their color."

Remember, there is only ONE way to Allah, not 4 or 10 etc…
Oh Allah guide us to the Straight path❤
So I do swear by the positions of the stars-
and this, if only you knew, is indeed a great oath
that this is truly a noble Quran,
Quran 56:75-77
The same way you must not look at one star to misguide you, you must not isolate Quran and take a verse out of context and conclude while u r mistaken.
This is the methodology of studying the Quran 😊
I like how he talks about not indoctrinating children. All you need to do is guide them and let them decide their path.
"The purpose of life" is still my favourite lecture of all time. May Allah protect Sheikh Khalid Yassin.

from hearing people's stories about malcom x he is like a professional, fighter mentally and with a leader's spirit I can feel it
His series of lectures on RUclips was most influential in my journey to Islam after sheikh Ahmed Deedat
Matthew 7:21-23
Satan doesn't want those who are in the dark to know that Jesus is Lord. Jesus will accept those who HONESTLY called him Lord and live according to the will of the Father, but he will reject those who call him Lord YET do not do the will of the Father
But the verses quoted only further confirm Jesus as Lord and the Son of God as Jesus makes reference to the Father! Jesus is also clearly stating that he will judge the world.
I feel pity for Deedat and many who consider the certified lier to be their hero.
You have been warned:
'Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matthew 24:30
@@TheWatchmanWebsite I love Deedat's legacy just because even after he passed away people blind and arrogant like you still try to oppose him )))

"...with your grace and your magnitude, make me free and independent from everyone and everything other than you."
I'm not even a Muslim but I love this ❤
This sheikh helped me become a practicing Muslim! I love him! May Allah bless him.
While Evil tells us this life is long, enjoy, keep partying, follow yourself, be a man, woman, or both or even a cat anytime you wish…
Islam only teaches us the truth&this beautiful religion do not adjust based on politics, emotions etc.
May Allah have mercy on us all.😊
Bless you ❤
Andrea, ma sha Allah, great post sister, and eloquent too. I like when you said
" If I hadn't embraced Islam, I would lost my mind and uncertain about how to live my life" I understand youlife changes: stages upon stages (childhood, teen years, adulthood, maturity, old age, death ), a cycle of health and illness, happiness and sadness, a cycle of ignorance, learning, acquiring knowledge, teaching it, and then may lead to wisdom or despair; a stages of reliance in parents, then starting independence from them, then people may depend on you (your family), a cycle of studying, then working, then teaching, then retiring etc.. all this while having desire for beauty, wealth, food, desire of the "flower of life" (As Quran described it so eloquently) it won't be easy at all to figure the purpose of life without guidance from God thorough his prophets, the religion of God is one, never change from Adam ,through Noah, Ibrahim, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad peace be upon them all. Connection to God and loving him are the answer to sadness and the antidote to depression.
May Allah grant you light in your heart, actions, and face, and Jannah and all of us
