I love the 379 Pete. We could almost tell what year these mods are since the early years had the steel dash and the dash similar to this one came out in about 2003 or so. The 379s were built between 1987 and 2007. From a guy who was born in the 2-stick era, the reason why we often see just a plain ole' L on the shift lever in most trucks is because the L which is lower than 1st L is classified as a "deep under" gear. One cool thing about the deep under gear in the 2-stick era is when you are traveling on the grounds of the loading dock area, the truck can't jump out at whoever may be walking by. It was also good for backing into the dock so you would be stuck with no choice but to back in slowly.
Patrick I think this truck mod by Viper actually has a 2 stick option, I may have used it in another video but I can't remember off hand. Thanks for watching

Hi blessings my diamond bro hammer lane 79 my favorite buddy and Cool bro thank you again for your video's Damon God bless you always have a blessed day many blessings my diamond bro
Beautiful rig ..day off today so I’m looking into building my own pc (buddy of mine doing it ) but how do you like your shifter compared to the one that came with the g20 since it’s not gated
I had read reviews since I was originally going to get the Logitech but it sounded like it's no where near as good of a shifter. I'm real happy with the Thrustmaster especially while playing racing games with fast shifts
@@HammerLane79 thank you so much for the reply I do this full time but the wife said i can’t bring the 379 indoors ..so this simulation will do lol keep up the great videos I’ll be watching
Irl in a semi truck you don’t use your clutch to shift gears btw, I pretty much grew up in a semi truck so I do know what it’s like, so if u wanna be more realistic you could make it so u don’t push in the clutch if possible
Cool Donut999 thanks for watching! The game does have an option to float gears but it's not very realistic since there's no feedback feeling in the shifter to feel the gears engaging so it doesn't work too well. I did a few videos a couple months back but the grinding sounds started to get distracting so I stopped
DrtičCZ thank you.....I believe I was using the "Kriechbaum Mega Pack" in this video with the CAT 3406. I think Kriechbaum has some of the best sound mods out there right now!
gabeshires20 that's strange I haven't come across that issue. My suggestion would be to double check your settings into both the game and also the Logitech G Hub. In ATS I have my "Centering" at 50% and the other feedbacks around 25%. Sometimes when mine doesn't cooperate it's because the Logitech G Hub isn't turned on for some reason and after I open it then it starts working ok.
Timothy I'm using a Thrustmaster TH8A shifter with 2 small USB switches mounted on it to control the Range and Splitter. I have links to both in the description. I wanted an Eaton Fuller style shifter but I also play racing games and couldn't use something that clunky so this has been working well!
The 389 Long Hood should be on the common ATS mod sites. Another newer option since I've made this video is the Haterbilt mod.....I did a video on that truck earlier this week
@@Braedoh Thanks, it's an awesome game! I'd suggest the Haterbilt truck as the best free Peterbilt mod right now....plus all of the skins on STEAM for the Viper truck work on it so you'll have plenty of custom options to work with
You shift way too early you should be shift at about 2250 or 2500 in a real semi so idk if your just doing it to make it look cool but just a little bit longer I’m a gear would be great but nice build anyway

the peterbilt looks great and sounds great😳
This one has that smooth sounding CAT 3406 sound mod from Kriechbaum!
WoW.! Looks Great and sounds Sooo Amazing.
Thanks, this is one of my go-to engines from Kriechbaum sound mods
Did you see that he put bags on the front of this truck IRL it's slick
Kevin it's turning out to be a real mean looking truck....it's come a long way!
This peterbilt is kinda look like the giant towing truck
@markyboughter1087 thanks, the CAT power pulled it like it wasn't even there
Impressive build I admire that kind of talent. I don't see many quality 379 out here. I hope you put it on the market someday.
kcblea, I appreciate it, thanks for watching!
I'll bet there's a difference between the real thing to a simulator? good video, keep them coming
Lloyd, I'll tell you....with every update they keep improving this game it's getting closer each time!
Super genial amigo!! 👏🤘!!

you could use your clutch c'mon. what the hell? ol' son. double clutching
How did you get that truck mod? I’m looking to get the same mod and engine setup so I was wondering how to do it
Bradley thanks for watching. This is a mod based off of the Viper2 that's on Steam called 389 Long Hood

This is the CAT 3406 from the Kriechbaum Megapack sound mod. I think it's the best sounding engine in the game right now
