I used to go to Garfield school and you could smell the works. The park in the footage i think is Haydons rd and had great times playing there. lived in Deburgh rd right down at the end near the bus garage and factory.Thank you for this LondonScreenArchive.

delightful footage..great narrative, good voice.Im watching this bit of vintage in Feb 2015 ! How times have changed..and not always for the better even without 'elf &safety!' On the Parkside of WC is virtually a water-logged marsh since many many trees have been removed the council trying to return it to 'heath-land' ridding non-decidious trees ! Try tell the birds that when they fly and scatter the 'air-bourne' seeds that will simply reintroduce the same type of tree the powers that be are trying to keep at bay !Look what happened in the rain forest when trees were removed ? Nature is female and can't be controlled by man...yet,thank the good Lord.
