Asking a Brit what the best beer is a question that will get a thousand answers. We are blessed to have so many varieties of beer from the UK and Europe that even your average pub will have 6-10 beers on tap and in every town there are pubs from multiple brewery’s and free houses that can literally serve any beer they like.
In my opinion, the US beers taste like they are watered down. A Stella from the pump in the US is totally different to the UK, Heineken too for that matter. It may just be me or it ay be the case it just doesn’t travel well but it’s certainly not as strong.
Marks and Spencers is a supermarket. You absolutely would not find them in any British pub. I'd know because I've worked for almost every British brewery in pubs 😂
Was a crossed line there, what I said was that they could use some beer to go with the spicy ones. Think they linked back to an earlier conversation where we were telling them that Scampi Fries and Pork Scratchings were basically over-flavoured/salted bar snacks to soak beer up.
