This OP looked good 2 weeks ago. I have since then read up to Vol 6 of the LN and OH MY GOD THERE IS SO MUCH FAN SERVICE IN THIS OP IT IS SO MUCH BETTER NOW.
This is the first anime that made me read the LN after watching episode one. I must say, Okina Baba is a genius with his writing especially in how he structures the story.
Looking forward to the season which I presume is going to adapt up until volume 4.
is more likely to be 5. Datamines of the website revealed episode tittles up to ep 5 and ep 5 is Vol 2 so they are going like 1 volume each 4 episodes but we have to take into account that 4 and 5 are more packed up in content so i would say those two need 6 episodes.
So 3 volumes in 12 episodes for first cour most likely and then the other 12 will be vol 4 and 5.

one of the main things i like about this series, the fact the human's perspective is still great even though they aren't the main protagonists
Way better to watch it rather than read it
Honestly one of the main things I like about this series is that the spider's perspective is so interesting that it makes up for the human perspective not being so much so... and by the time the human perspective catches up you already know what's truly going on, thanks to the spider.

@Abyssal Hearts sure it is boring (sometimes) but its important to kumokos growth. we learn a lot about kumoko while seeing the human POV.

Philip Ivers it does what all isekai should do focus on the world building and other happenstances in their world but most isekai go away from the cool unique idea and just end up like a bland isekai

I'm still amazed at how many isekais or fantasy stories feel like they're represented in the LN. Newest volumes have given us basically a Goblin Slayer or Reverse-Goblin Slayer. I hope the anime adaptation works out, but no matter what the LNs are just gold. You can read them 3-4 times over and find something new and interesting when you look at it in hindsight. Really recommend you guys reading the Light Novels.

After some eps, this became my favorite NEW anime of the season.
The opening is like Re Zero had a baby with Overlord and Cautious Hero Seiya. Dope, who else does like it?
This intro is giving me some Overlord vibes but a bit more tame and thinking about the future its heading then... yeah they nailed it

I got into this anime recently and I really like it. This is already one of my favorite anime openings too.
This intro is PACKED, but I sorta think we're getting a new one in the next couple of episodes since we've basically seen everything.
A couple things I only noticed going frame by frame:
- the animal flying in between 0:53 and 0:54 is probably Fei
- At 1:23 it shows a couple of characters who I've seen people theorize are Kumoko in the future; this show REALLY loves playing with that idea (I've been spoiled so I know vaguely at least who she isn't)

idk why people comparing her with Rimuru. Yes it's Isekai, but the Slime Anime has more worldbuilding in it then I'm a spider. She starts with nothing at the beinning, has no special skills. But Rimuru had already special skills like great sage and predator. He was basicly a walking wikipedia who could copy skills. He was already op at the beginning.

So what I gathered here is that the Spider girl’s classmates are at war with each other while she’s just doing what she can to survive, ultimately promoting herself to Mother of All Chaos, and the reason why she’s feared by all as a true monster is because she’s always been bad at social interaction.
She gets a human form I can feel it
