Yup. I went to my caucus. My district was small and diverse so most candidates didn't even make the minimum 'viable candidate' votes so theirs were thrown out and were awarded nothing from their voters.
I saw the next district over only have one candidate be viable and get a delegate.
So votes matter....depending on location

I voted for Bernie, but I don't think he'll get South Carolina. Every poll I've seen since last Thursday (February 20th) puts Biden in first place by at least 4 to as many as 20 percentage points! I think Biden is going to get South Carolina, and Bernie is going to have to pull in a few delegates in second place there and make up the difference from other states.
I hope the black women won't disappoint, people can't possibly be voting for Biden, right?

They probably could not get to Bernie or even Biden without special clearance for a two on one interview.

"Candidates like Biden, and Warren [...]" (4:30) could literally substitute Sanders for Warren and retain the intention of the line, while still not mentioning a candidate who's losing drastically in South Carolina, and even losing in her own state. It's not a conspiracy, its an embarrassment. You don't pretend like the most prominent person in the race doesn't exist when you're talking about an election he's in the race to win. Warren isn't even viable for delegates.

I understand that TDS is not journalism, but given that this segment was produced only in the last day or so, how are you 1) going to totally ignore Sanders, who's in 2nd place and jump to Warren and Steyer? And, 2) ignore Sanders, who has the largest and longest running ground organization in SC, one that is 80% run by blacks?

These are peculiar times. But the one bright spot is that this election is exposing everyone's true colors.
Bernie 2020. He cares the most about black issues, and not standing with a charismatic black guy and thinking you’re cool. Bernie wants to invest in HBCUs, end cash bail, etc.
That's the thing. I think Bernie doesn't care about black issues. He cares about real people issues, be them white indian italian afro mexican, whatever the ancestry. If you're a part of the fabric of the country, Bernie is caring for you. Its medicare for all, not just blacks or whites. All student debt pardon. Free college, minimum wage raise... This includes americans of all etnicities, and this is something that Obama would definitely be behind of.
Fortunately, a lot of people are understanding this.

Kunta Jay Yang was actually the best. But Tom Steyer is OK. Not sure if he is for nuclear power though. Yang is. I have my degree in environmental studies. Its my #1 reason why i support Yang’s policies. No one else’s climate change plan comes close to his. And Bernie is against nuclear.

Instead, the sketch was edited such that, intentionally or not, it comes across as a commercial for Steyer. Comedically, the funniest parts are the pre-Steyer segments.

Marianne Williamson and Julian Castro are all about reparations, but they aren't in the race anymore. Sanders doesn't specifically support reparations, but his policies would be economically uplifting for disenfranchised communities in other ways.
Elizabeth Warren is documented as being in favor of reparations. However, she hasn't spoken about in in recent debates, even when Steyer brought it up, so now I'm not sure.

Ridiculous Rob, The Juggler he supports reparations but not the same as steyer and Williamson. He isn’t talking about giving money directly to ADOS but he’s talking about investing the money in black communities, black businesses, HBCUs and schools.
Ta-Nehisi Coates has pointed out that Bernie Sanders dismissed reparations as "impossible," while making M4A his signature issue (despite knowing that it will not pass in Congress.)
His platform is lacking in racial justice policy, to say the least.
