What a blessing to have a pre-war apartment with an ample foyer, thick walls, and moldings! I'm not sure if the high/low comment followed by 'I'm not afraid of Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel' means that she finds those vendors high or low. I guess to a designer they're low. To me they're high.
Same!
Agreed
No, that's snobbery. You can watch others such as she mentioned Bunny Williams who don't lower themselves to such talk.
@@thedesken agreed, but I’ve never seen anything in Bunny William’s homes that doesn’t look rather expensive, so I’d not expect Bunny Williams to explain her own style as high/low.
I am an interior designer myself. We are exposed to so many different sources that the public does not have access to. It is very interesting to read what most of you think about designers. I do not think of myself at all the way most of you think we do. I do pride myself on the fact that I feel I can decorate almost anyone's budget. Most designers will ask you for your budget before the project begins. Without the budget, we do not know how to help you. There are so many design centers across the country that are open only to the trade. That is one of the benefits of hiring a good designer.
Did she call RH, Pottery Barn, and Crate and Barrel "Low"? Tell me you're in a different tax bracket without telling me. She'd definitely consider my décor low budget because its all RH and Pottery Barn🤣
Yo for real! Anthropology is “low”? I guess it is when you grow up on the UWS and you have a family home in Bridgehampton. 😂
@@melodep275 LOL! I made my comment before I heard the Anthro comment. Her ENTIRE family lives there and she grew up there. She did some name dropping and that mention of her Alma Mater was also a flex. Either way I like her bathrooms and she used her space pretty well. I loved how she used the wallpaper in her eldest daughter's room. But for reference the RH sofa is 3k (before tax) if you are apart of their membership program. That's not a lot for a sofa in the grand scheme of things, but the average person doesn't spend 3k on a sofa. Its a low end sofa depending on your point of reference.
@@TGSHomeandGarden It’s a gorg apartment with some nice design. I mean how can one go wrong with a Classic UWS 7?! I just had to wince that she is referring to the higher end design chain stores as “low” like RH & Anthro.
It's cheaper buying a sofa from a store than going the custom route, I suppose she is a bit of a snob, but I still love her design style.
This women has amazing taste bringing in quality with low choices
If anyone is curious about the prints in her entryway that she took from a book- the artist is Jonas Wood
One of my big life goals is to live in a pre war penthouse with a stunning view of central park! I claim it! I manifest it! She is so lucky and inspirational!
And So It Is!!! It Is So!!!
@@SandraCDavis Yes!
Hazel, I believe you !
The apartment is gorgeous and her snob is showing through.
But she wears it well.
The children's room with the light blue plaid is the nicest one I have ever seen. It's beautiful. That wallpaper creates a stunningly inviting effect.
I love her style, mixing high and low and classic and vintage with contemporary. I love the living room- the bookshelves are genius and the paint color is beautiful. For a young person, she has a lot of knowledge and seems very confident.
Everything is absolutely beautiful, but I find it to be missing the spark of whimsy many of the other tours have. Her large entryway is truly fabulous.
Fortunate family to have a beautiful apartment layout in the heart of New York City culture. Not my style of decor or choice of color schemes, but I can hear her passion for what she has accomplished for her husband and children's living spaces. I adore the hallway sofa style and upholstery.
I never thought my favorite room in one of these tours would be a BATHROOM, but her guest bathroom is stunning. What a beautiful apartment! Wonderful design elements but still feels like a cozy home.
I’m a native NYer and artist living in Dayton, OH, where it is a cultural and architectural desert. If I ever become a homeowner again, my place will be tailored to NYC pre-war or industrial loft style. Wherever I live, I always bring a lot of NYC vibes with me. My apartment building is 55+ years old, with thin walls and ceilings that squeak and crackle when my neighbors walk. It drives me nuts, but that’s what comes with the territory of apartment living. What I love the most about your apartment, are the global fabrics that cover your throw pillows and the loveseat in your entryway. Your entryway is the size of a lot of NYC studio apartments, and I think it’s fabulous. Your kids won’t stay little forever, so I think it’s great you don’t suffocate them with too many boundaries, and let them be kids. Way to go Mom!
Love her colors and proportion of furniture in relation to the room dimensions. She has this nailed 👏 beautiful West Side utopia!
My favorite room was her youngest child’s bedroom. Loved the wallpaper and all the animal touches.
Everything about her apartment is absolutely exquisite. How lovely that her children are growing up with a sense of respect for beautiful things! 😍
This apartment is absolutely gorgeous. I love how homey and warm it is. Prewar apartments are such gems. The classic details add so much character. Love it. But PB and RH being described as low end is definitely relative for an interior designer living in a clearly multi-million dollar home. It depends on when they purchased, but that obviously huge 3BR apartment today would go for $3-5 million easy.
This apartment is spectacular!!! People who say NYC only has shoebox size apartments have NEVER seen a pre-war apartment. They're too busy looking for a dishwasher and laundry in unit.
Would she not have laundry in unit? Unsure how it works in these pre-war apartments.
@DesertGoddess Yes, I would agree they probably have a washer/dryer in the unit at that price. But at 4:03 she specifically stated that they made minimal renovations. Thanks for your reply.
This apartment would be at minimum $3-4 million today. Trust me - I’ve looked. A 3BR with dining room? And the bedrooms are HUGE. Plus the giant foyer hallway. What an awesome apartment but it would not be cheap at all.
@@MHouston602 Wonder what the maintenance fees are per month as well!
@@MHouston602 But she did it all "on a dime" 😂
Great Upper West Side apartment -- great job and thoughtfully considered! Truly a very comfortable apartment! I hope they have decades of happy memories in this home. And who better than Bunny Williams to work for as an intern! Bunny is always my go-to reference for interiors...just the best! Bunny would certainly do high - low and will always say that if you love it, buy it and you will find a place for it. So true! Thanks very much for this tour!
Her business is doing so well because she has a wonderful design aesthectic. Her style is NYChic but also appealing to and replicable in the rest of the country. She has created a lovely home for her family.
This is absolutely gorgeous! The cork wall is so unique & practical. And that master bath shower tile…stunning! I love her attention to detail & how she played into the unique features such as the picture frame molding & radiator.
What a wonderful home! Thank you so much for sharing it with everyone. You are a very talented young woman.
Just love this apartment, so warm and really seems like their kids can play and live in this entire space.
Charming and cozy - love the front hall, kitchen, baths, and bedrooms. I love pre-war and the UWS (UW) in NYC. A great family apartment. Great interior design.
I love this apartment so much and the down to earth attitude of the owner, mom, designer. Very inspirational.🥰
Oh my! Congratulations!! What a lovely home!!!
I love her art especially the wabi sabi over the couch, well done decorating.
Great home, great job Sarah. Thanks for sharing your home with us. It’s beautiful.
it's a home and a lovely home with all spaces curated according to life of its inhabitants -- she should be proud of her achievement -- for children and dogs living indoors with no access to yards nor terraces -- she understands how her children live in their home; and, most importantly -- their bedrooms -- bravo.
love it cozy and beautiful. thank you for this.
It is awesome that she designs her own decorative pieces using artists all over the country. I love custom process , it is so creative and satisfying to have a unique piece made just for you and to support talented craftsmen in a process. I wish more people did this with decor and furniture.
So many details to love in this home tour! Very beautifully done!
Loved the tour. My favorite fact is that her store is going to carry pillows/fabrics woven by refugees. What a great idea. Would love to see those.
OMG I loved her decor, every room has a exquisite taste n well putt together, thanks for the home tour 🌺🌸💕
"Done on a dime" LOL!
Love! Thank you for sharing. Your videos have brought me so much joy.
I love the neutrals! Love how each room flows to the next with the wall treatments, antique furniture, and beautiful art pieces; classic, sophisticated …it’s a gem! 👍🥰❤️
Thank you Sarah, your home is absolutely beautiful
So amazing to have an English cottage feel in a NY apartment!
What a great apartment! That front hall is so inviting and practical for its multi purposes!
Love your color palette. Very easy on the eyes. The dimmer mood is so soothing at night.
Wow. Exceptional taste. Great eye. Easy modern day style with just the right bits to inform and enjoy at the same time. Loved. Every. Second!
That writing table is divine! Love all the special touches and mixes. Your artwork elevates the whole design aesthetic.
I absolutely love this flat. So beautifully design and homely. I love it. Great job.
Too many special touches to single one out, such a lovely home.
Love it! very warm and "homy" but at same time stylish.
WOW!....such a beautiful home!
I was just telling myself what a great decorator you had....only to find out it was you...Beautiful apartment . Fresh, current yet eclectic, comfortable...
FANTASTIC!!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful, with lots of texture and character.
Love the vibe. Love the light. Love the art.
What a charming apartment. Great tour Homeworthy!! I love to watch apartment tours, maybe is because I live in one. 😊😊
It’s homey. It’s not overpowering with the just right vibe. I love the lay out too
This video was wonderful.Your presentation held my interest on several levels. Enjoyed your description of how you styled each room and the explanation of IG finds , upscale designers, and family items that you have collected.I am a native NYer like yourself and do appreciate when homage is served. Will be following you on Social Media.Thank you Vicenta's Hand
You house is beautiful , I love you decor style thank you to brings has into your gorgeous home🥰
Absolutely love her apartment and her taste!!
Love the mix, especially the Danish chairs, they look comfy. Yes, I had that Billy Baldwin Decorates book, when it was new, I should have kept it. I also love Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.
The view from the childrens room is stunning!
Looks lovely and spacious for an NYC appt, really nicely done. 👍
Such a beautiful apartment...such a gorgeous foyer!!
the little girls rooms are so adorable!!
I wasn't sold on the front part of the house but OMIGOD Gemma's room! This is a supermom for sure.
Love this home- so beautiful and easy feeling!
A beautiful home with the most beautiful sedate colours.
Stunning!
Nice apartment with great bones and sq footage. Enjoy it and your family in good health.
One of my major peeves is neighbors who don’t understand that feet have to move across floors. My daughter had an apt on 73rd and CPW before children and she was rarely even home and the neighbors under her went to the coop board so she was forced to cover the floors completely. It turned out the noise came from her neighbor. She loved the bldg which had a view of the museum but the whole experience was absurd so she moved to a modern loft in Chelsea and during the pandemic went to their home in Stratton, VT and loves the freedom and space there. Lots of New Yorkers with toddlers also moved there.
I am glad you shared your daughter's experience. That must have been incredibly frustrating for her. At least in the end the powers that be figured out the noise was not her doing.
Well, you have to be respectful of others. When I lived in NYC we had neighbors that loved to make noise at night. Which would be fine but I was a flight attendant & to get up at 2 & 3 am for work. So, just because someone decides to have a child doesn’t mean everyone has to bow down. It’s called the world doesn’t revolve around you. 🙄
love her kitchen so much!
I love how eloquently she talks about her home. She seems such a warm, homey person. I am not a big fan of modern art, but her apt is a good size and has lovely bones.
I just wish she didn’t say UM all of the time and tsk…..must have been awfully nervous
Stunning apartment. Love her taste
Thank you for sharing!

Lovely charming lady and house. Thank you for the tour.
I clicked the video for the gorgeous woman and stayed for the gorgeous apartment. Awesome video!
Lovely, just lovely...
WOW! What a fabulous sized entry hall! Love the moulding. To the comments below about high low...Listen to where she shops...Sag Harbor, Bridge Hampton - not slumming it! I think many designers (Bunny Williams and Suzanne Kasler) were commissioned by those outlets to make high end design more affordable. She is right. I love everything except for the dinning room wallpaper but it's not my pre-war apartment - it is hers so she can have whatever she loves! I love all the young designers Homeworthy features. Darling young mother in a cute sweater dress and Hermes loafers! Keep up the great work!
One of my favorite dining rooms!
Such a cozy space.
Beautifully done place !
Love this!
Great tour love the place..
Fabulous!
beautiful home.
Love your style lovely home 😊
This is so good, thank you for bringing these to us each week
beautiful!
Very beautiful!
when i see "cozy" i assume small. this is enormous for ny standards and beautiful. the board in the kitchen is so smart
Such a pretty home!
Loved the centre hall.
I thought it was fun, bright, warm, creative and down to earth. I liked it.
Beautiful ❤
I usually find these home tours to be over-the-top and unrelatable, but this one was very inspiring to me. I love all of the little touches, like the knobs in the nursery. Well done.
Love it ❤
Lederman. I love your style.
The dining room wall paper could be helped with a chair rail and a lower wall painted white. That's just too much pattern for serene dining.
Beautiful & cohesive 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🇬🇧xxxx
I love this apt
That bedroom is Gor-geous!
I can’t afford Pottery Barn. In my world that is ‘high’. I look for great quality used things as at my price point they are the best deal! Some great details in this apartment from this nice lady.
i love your home. It's warm, inviting and just lovely.
Lovely apartment.
Love the colour palette. Very cozy homey vibe. The video could have used more dog footage, but overall pretty good. ❤
