Not only does the Samsung phone's camera compare well to the other cameras, but it's also more discreet when using in public. A lot of people get upset when a person is using a dedicated camera in their vicinity. With a phone it looks like you're making a call or browsing the internet.
Yep, i agree. Its incredible how good phones are now. As far as being in public, not only does the phone make you blend in. It gives you more confidence knowing not everyone is looking at the guy talking to a camera. I still to this day get embarrassed when I get "busted" talking to my camera. Excellent video. I wanted to buy pocket 3 when it was launched but it was not available to buy easily or at right price at my place. So, I waited around. Then my phone died, and I ended up getting S24U in a good deal. Now, was wondering how it compares, and I was surprised to see it does so well. I was surprised with how each hair is visible clearly. I have always loved the DJI pocket series. And yes, the best part is that it is so stealth. Perfect travel-vlog camera I would say. It is awkward to record in public. Also, people's reactions change if they know they are being recorded, thus for family events, it is better to be stealth. Here are a few ideas for new videos-- how to acheive that Bokeh or cinematic feel with S24U, especially the one while you were at the river banks and at 14:07 . Best settings for right audio. Is there any difference between 8k vs 4k in quality. There is a dual recording feature, is that useful, and is there quality difference.
They are very close. The Action seems to handle noise in the shadows a bit better. But the S24 has auto focus.....and a pretty good one at that! Hard to beat the price on these Action cams, though. I don't think you can really go wrong with any camera that was made within the past few years. It's an incredible time we live in! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

Thank you so much for your time and kind words. I have always used the 256gb or 512gb Samsung Pro Plus cards in all of my DJI cameras and drones. They have a good reputation and a good balance between speed and price. At the moment I have the Samsung Pro Ultimate in the Pocket 3, which cost about double what the Pro Plus does, and honestly....I cannot tell the difference. Its supposed to be faster writing speed but I just do not think it's worth spending the extra money. You can only get so fast with a micro SD anyway. On the DJI website it gives a list of recommended cards, but I've always had success with the Samsung. I think a 256gb card is around $20 USD. I think even the EVO Select is great and usually can be found for a pretty good deal. Hope this helps and thanks again for taking the time to watch and comment!

That's a great question. The only one that really heated up enough to notice is the Action 4. It gets pretty toasty. The Samsung gets a little warm and I've never noticed the Pocket getting hot. The Action 5 Pro is getting delivered today so I'm curious to see how it performs. That video will be coming soon
I think you sold me on the Pocket 3. I have the Ronin RS4 for my DSLR for bigger budget shoots, and just bought an Action 4 (action bundle) on Prime Day and almost have buyers remorse. Although I think I'm going to keep the Action 4 for more rough terrain type of recordings and use the Pocket 3 for everything else. Do you have an REI affiliate link?
They all have their place and strengths. The Action is definitely worth having around. Big sensor and strong durability is nice to have even if you only use it a few times a year. The Pocket 3 has really earned a spot close to my heart. If only it were weather-sealed, it would be perfect. I've even taken some great photos with it. I mean...nothing I would try to sell to anyone. But for posting and memories it is very passable. I bought the Insta360 X4 when it released and immediately regretted it. Nice job brother. They both look good. I'd be curious as to the difference between the s23u and the s23u. In fact, now that I've got a paid-for s23u, I'm thinking about using it with a gimbal, turning off the stabilization on the phone, and shooting in Pro (which forces you to turn off all the auto features anyway? Then you'd lose many of the artifacts caused by the over-processing all cell phones do. As I'm partially color blind, I've always preferred the 'Samsung color pop' of their pics over the two iPhone Pros I've had (13 & 14).
P.S. Were price no object, I'd have a Pocket 3, an Insta360 for my motorcycle (though maybe a DJI Action 4), and then a Sony EV10 for everything else, like family shots, home studio, and tripod work.
Thanks brother! Yeah, paid off devices are nice. The 23U will do everything you need it to. Try out the Blackmagic app. It's perfect for what you're wanting. For the longest it only worked on Iphone but now it is for Samsung and Pixel. Gives you full control of your camera. Thanks again for the kind words and support! Great video. Been thinking about a Pocket 3. Any concerns about it being fragile? I know it's not an action camera, but any fears about it breaking from pocket carry or everyday use?
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! The Pocket 3 has been my favorite camera to use since I bought it. In the beginning, I was super paranoid about dropping it or it just being fragile. But honestly, it's taken some pretty serious drops and is still working great. Not saying it won't break but it can take a little more abuse than it seems. I think the biggest threat is probably going to be water. I also recently received a metal housing from Ulanzi for it that seems to give it a little more protection around the body as well as adding multiple quick releases mounts. That video should be up this week sometime. As long as you purchase the Care Refresh when or if you get the Pocket 3 I wouldn't worry too much about breaking it. My goal is to film landscapes without showing my face. I don't want to focus on objects. Thanks to your video, I chose to buy a Samsung A54 5G and a Pocket 3, and now I'm waiting for the delivery. I had a very positive review of that phone. I was very impressed with the video stabilization it was able to produce and the audio is really good. That is one of the biggest things I look for when buying a video camera is how good is the audio and both of those do really well. That's good advice about subtitles. Recently bought S24 Ultra and dji Osme action 4. Seems like the film quality of the s24 is way better. The 4k of the action 4 seems like no 4k. Could this be right? Btw, very new at filming. What do u recommend for travel video's?
I think if you spend that much on a premium phone, all you need is to buy a gimbal and a screen duplicate to use the phone as a vlog device. Cheapest way to get good quality images and videos without spending much more on another camera.

I am surprised that s24 Ultra seems to offer the best image quality in a brightly lit environment. Pocket 3 looks a bit washed out. Action 4 is just not good. In low light, Pocket 3 looks good, s24 Ultra looks good but may be a bit too saturated at times. Again Action 4 is just not good enough.
Outdoors, I've been pretty satisfied with the pocket 3. I've yet to get it to look good in a studio setting. Too much ghosting with big lights. Best part about the S24U being so good.....it's always in my pocket. Kinda ironic that it performs better than the actual Pocket. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Pocket 3 in daylight is just bad, for daylight S24U looked much better than the others, for night Pocket 3 looked the best
