For a proper christmas experience I would recommend going to Rovaniemi in Finland sometime between november and february to visit santas village and enjoy the amazingly beautiful winterwonderland of snowy nature! I think there are hotelrooms that are little glass igloos so you can see the northern lights from the comforts of your own bed!!!
