Looks like a lot of fun. I Did a similar trip with my father in law a few weeks back. It's hard when the snow gets slushy like that, I ended up taking my tires down to 3 psi to get unstuck the final time. Does your friend with the 2a have (lock-Right) lockers front and rear? I wonder if that is what gives him trouble in the snow? It seems having the ability to unlock the axles helps to keep you a float a bit more at least in my experience. When I have lockers engaged the wheels have a tendency to dig instead of pull/push
Yep - Lock-rites front and rear. And I agree with your theory. In fact, he actually unlocks one of his hubs once in a while to help. But this was some nasty snow for sure.
8” mt’s vs 10.5” at’s to be exact. But yeah, the FJ also has twice the power. But it only has limited slip in the rear. The CJ has front and rear lockers. Ultimately it all kind of evens out at the end of the day 😂
Looking back, it seems like an extra bonus point should have been awarded for actually apexing that little hill climb. 😉
That’s a fair point! But it’s too late now, I guess… Victory was within my grasp, but then snatched away due to a simple tally error.
That looks like a lot of fun! The distance that old Jeep had to pull you before you could get out of the snow ditch was crazy lol 😂👍🏻
That was even sped up to 150% because it dragged on so long 😂
5:07 - Weird, drone operation while driving a relic during blizzard like conditions seems simple enough to navigate. 🤪
You’d think so, right? 😅

The fJs tires are almost twice as wide as well

Which drone do you have?
Skydio 2+. It’s been excellent for autonomy tracking, but it’s horrible if you want to fly it by remote.
@@FJAdventurer I'll check it out! Thank you!
Unfortunately, it looks like Skydio may have discontinued their consumer line.
I also learned that RUclips likes to autocorrect "Skydio" to "Skidoo" which is unfortunate as well.
@@FJAdventurer I found some used.
