I will never understand why any company prioritises the enjoyment of 1% of their player base who do/can attend in person events and dulls the events for the 99% masses right down....What would be the issue with increased shiny rates for the Global like comm days? Obviously keep some as rare but for flips sake Niantic, accept that the majority of your players will forgive you any sins if you just let them catch a few extra shiny pokemon.....

I haven't played for months, and I didn't bother opening the app for this event. I still watch a couple channels to lend a view or two to them - as it's not their fault for Niantic's toxic behaviour. It's beyond a joke now...
Just done 5 hours of global, and i must say I havent missed covid era more than this ever... The events was way better, and I rather pay 10 dollars for a good event than a mediocre (at best) event free..
I was just saying to somebody earlier today that they should treat the in-person events as something like early access for people that can afford to go and then when it comes to the global event (where everyone else gets their turn) that they keep the same shiny rates. There are so many of us that want to go, but are just not able to afford it, so why make a bunch of spawns full-odds? It doesn't feel right and it doesn't sit well with me. Anyway, I did the best I could today. 23 shinies and 2 hundos. I'm going extra hard tomorrow! You best believe it! :)

I got 6... I usually get 10-13 for go fest. I'm not complaining about the ones I got, they were all ones I wanted. One did run from me (it was a costume pikachu) but it was my second of that kind so it didn't hurt as much.

Seems like going forward, the best times to use Roar of Time is outside of events to extend Daily Incense timers for G Bird grinding, and then use Spacial Rend during Tours/GO Fests to double the spawns, double the chances of shiny encounters. Got my dialga & palkia from remote raids. Definitely taking advantage of the different time zones to extend your experience is the strat. Hasn't even started here yet and I've got my roar of time & spatial rend

For me in Norway its cold snow and ice it harder to enjoy this event so play at home and i miss old incense, i hope niantic one day give thet bonus back with this type of events. Do not mean to be rude, but if my understanding was correct, LA ticket holders were able to keep their boosted odds on globsl weekend. So the average person will have a worse rate than what Zoey got. Still hoping for something good but the odds aren't really in our favor
No. Zoey is correct. I didn't go to the in-person event, but this global event day 1 I got 24 shinies. Basically I only need 1 more Qwilfish to complete the set (to evolve into overqwil), other than that I catch a ton of shiny pikachu and hisuians. So pikachu is boosted, so are hisuians (and the new boosted shiny like stunky from 5km egg), the legendaries, and the regionals. Everything else appears to be full odds (I couldn't find a single shiny shellos, eevee, combee, cherubi, heck...not even bronzor when usually it's shiny every 5 checks)

First day is ending now for East Coast US, I barely got anything shiny. Just Qwilfish and Origin Palkia (without Spacial Rend, yay). I know they want people to go to the live events, but if they even sold a timed research that gave a boost of like 5% to the shiny rate it'd be better than this. Was hoping to use this event to get a Shiny Ralts and Bunneary as I'm still hunting for those two, but no dice. Hoping tomorrow will work out better.
During Unova Tour, only Shiny Victini highly expected debut during this event but Shiny Meleotta and Shiny Keldeo won't debut during Unova Tour. But another money paid event expected to be happen in future, this event's theme is focus on change form mythical Pokemon. During this event Meleotta and Keldeo able to change form by certain amount of stardust and respective Pokemon candies. At the same time shiny Meleotta and shiny Keldeo also being debut during this event.

T’was rainy in Japan as well, and cold. Second day was spent in a cafe for the most part. :) Zero shiny wild spawns for me but got some shinies from eggs, raids, and research. Had fun.
Got 1 shiny ( a wild Azelf :) so happy for that), did mostly raids today, no shiny in them but a hundo hisuian samurott. Will do more of the other stuff tomorrow.
The only part of this event i enjoyed was pushing myself to walk for 4 hours. Catch rates were rough for me, many mons taking way too many balls to catch. Got one shiny qwilfish which is nice, but was certainly hoping for more with my time/ effort. Feeling punished for not spending money on the game, guess I should keep my expectations lower. I'd say maybe tomorrow will be better, but I used all of my saved balls and coins, so probably won't participate much.
I feel like a game that is so based off making money off there players it’s weird they just don’t give out a ticket for like 20 or so dollars for a shiny boost on these tour events and go fest. I’ve been fortunate enough to go to a in person go fest and it was wonderful but it’s not possible for the vast majority of the player base so some kind of boost even in a paid ticket for global would be nice.
Because they know it would be hell because that's so pay to win. Most players don't realize in person events are pay to win events, just like how they don't realize eggs are lootboxes, but this shiny ticket would 100% be the biggest backlash they've had since remote raid pass backlash
During Kalos Tour, Shiny Diancie is highly expected debut during this event, hence day 1 Kalos Tour all Mega Pokemon including mega form legendary Pokemon will appear as raid boss. So day 2 will Hoopa Unbound form elite raid and others normal raid are Mega or Mega Legendary raid. Shiny Hoopa Unbound form debut during day 2 Kalos Tour. Use certain amount stardust and Hoopa candies to change shiny Hoopa Unbound form to shiny Hoopa confine form. Dual type Pokemon with one type weak or strong to another type Pokemon event will be separate from Kalos tour will take place before Kolas tour Volcanion debut during this event but only Tier 5 raid in Kalos tour happen that will be Volcanion raid, shiny Volcanion will debut during Kalos tour. So it may be all Kalos Pokemon will join Kalos Tour.
21 shinies only 3 repeats & 1 hundo normal dialga. Only downside was the amount of dust we had to spend on quests/research & the sunburn. Day 2 is about to start here in Adelaide
Missed you today! Wow that hatch luck! The luck today for me was so so… I ended up with 13 shinies, couldn’t get the voltorb. Hopefully will be able to get it tomorrow, maybe change of environment at Olympic park tomorrow will increase luck.
My first day for Sinnoh Tour was absolutely horrendous… Would you believe me if I told you that I did about 60 raids in total and didn't get a single shiny Origin Forme? Also, some of my friends did the same amount and did not get a single one. For the day, I only got one shiny Pikachu, ONE! 😬
I got a shiny origin dialga early early on and it made me question if it was a guaranteed shiny somehow xP Condolences. No shiny origin Palkia yet though.
Played both days hard. Got 3 shinies 1st day, doing routes most of the day. Husband got the shiny basculin but I didn't. Hatched like mad, did research tasks like mad, nothing from those. Day 2, did about 52 bidoof research tasks (to give an idea how many I did of each hour). No hundos or shinies. Did get 3 more shinies the 2nd day, but no puffy fish.
I'm left feeling very blah about the whole two day event. In two days I did get 15 shinies. Am I supposed to feel good about that? I played almost the whole two days other than doing lunch and bathroom breaks. And even then I played. Of the 15 only 6 of them were ones I never had before. I did get the Hisuian sneasel and hisuian voltorb so that is why I'm not totally 100% down on the event. Their version of increased chances of shinies differ WAY more than mine. After this event I am taking a break from Pokemon. And hatched more than 20 purple eggs and not one shiny.
I got a shiny gible, regigigas, both shiny costume pikachus (not the hisui glitch ones), and a hisuian voltorb. Only one hundo and it was a gible from research! Legendarys are 3 dialgas, 1 origin palkia and 1 of each lake trio guardian. Also i have a question, are shiny unowns only obtainable from in person events? I was on both days during hoenn tour and todays sinnoh and i still havent caught any. Am i just getting very unlucky?

I played the whole 8 hours. Did probably 30 raids no shinies from raids. Caught 8 wild shinies. Hatched 0 shinies (while running super incubators the whole time). But I played the whole day with my brother and at the end I had a great day and really enjoyed the first day of the event. I actually don’t mind the non boosted shiny rates. Shinies in main games are very rare. I don’t want them to make it easy. I like grinding and getting stoked to find rare things.
I finished with 86 shinies for this 2-day global event! It was so fun and exciting! Definitely an A+++ experience!! I didn't even use an incense! Got all 4 Pikachus with hats shiny, got Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit shiny, and got both origin formes with their new special moves too! I wish we could trade with others long distances. I don't know what I'm going to do with 6 shiny Stunkys! LOL! 😂What a fantastic time!! Hope everyone had a great time as well!
I can't really understand why they released white-striped Basculin but didn't release the ability to evolve it into the Basculegion - a Hisui pokemon no less that would have fit perfectly with the event. And why did they not release Phione or Manaphy? Not having a full generation release this year was a let-down. For me, the special activities & the origin-form raids were nice, but walking around catching there just wasn't enough to do and enough to be interesting this year. With a low shiny rate for everything except the handful they boosted and only 1 new pokemon to catch, it felt slow and boring.
I said it before- I’ll say it again. Would it kill Niantic to host Go Tour in the spring and then Go Fest in late summer every year. Being relegated to the crowded (dead zones galore) mall or literally getting frost bite makes me lose steam fast and end up going home early. Compile that with under performing shiny rates and it’s just frustration after frustration with this game.

I enjoyed the Global Sinnoh Tour, but I really wish that Niantic really increased the shiny rates. I can understand wanting to make the in-person events stand out more in that regard just to attract more people, but there's obviously only a small amount of the players who can afford to travel across the country or globe to play Pokemon Go. The first two region tours had tickets and as much as I don't like locking bonuses behind a paywall, I'd rather pay for a ticket to get a chance at extra Shiny Pokemon instead of having a free event. I think this was better than the Hoenn Global Tour though. I did get a Dialga Origin form with perfect stats, my luck on Day 2 was incredibly better with 15 Shiny Pokemon and I was more prepared for the lower shiny rates compared to the Hoenn Tour. Plus, the Adventure Effects are really cool and I could definitely see them being helpful for future events.

Very disappointed with the regional egg shiny rates for both versions of the event. Hatched 270 eggs in LA for 2 shiny Carnivine, 3 Mime Jr, and a Chingling. Zero shiny hatches of any kind today in almost 60 eggs.
Gotta say yesterday was better than today, having caught six shinies yesterday today compared to today (only one). I was checking everything and hatching as many eggs as possible. And after 40+ legendary raids I still don’t have a shiny origin forme Palkia/Dialga. This is into the nearly hundred or so I’ve done since the shiny versions were released They really do need to fix the shiny rates for global events rather than mix it up or keep them the same as normal rates

played from the start of the event to about an hour left and only found 12 shinies with one of them being the Origin form Palkia, thanks niantic real great
I had really low expectations. I wound up with one wild shiny (an aron with about 30 minutes left). Got a shiny dialga origin without the special move, and a bunch of palkia origin that were average Iv's. And one regular form Palkia shiny. The only thing I liked with the shadow pokemon that were in rewards.
I work nights, so it limits me to how long I can play. I played for 4 hours and the only thing I have to show for it is a shiny Lickitung and a 98% Dialga
Apparently I got really lucky then because I got 37 shinies, including my second ever shundo, one each of the lake guardians, all the wild hisuians other than qwilfish, both shellos, stunky and chatot
Day 1 Just finished for me. Lucked out with 20 shinys. My Fiancee drives so thankfully I was able to play a couple hours in a moving car (I got 12 in the car alone!) So definitely play in the car on on a bus if you can!
The only shiny legendary I got was 1 shiny Palkia origin after 60+ raids. It didn't have the signature move so nobody wants to trade to get better iv's. We had many ppl in the group have the same problem with Palkia and Dialga origins... ppl won't trade without a signature since you can't elite TM. This was a major disappointment. They shiny rate for legendary Pokémon wasn't increased at all. 1 in 60 is normal rate or worse. The shiny rate everyone in the group got an average of 5-6 per day so boosted from a normal day but less than previous tour events for us. I hope they unlock elite TM's so we can trade them or trade for them easier. Would have really changed my opinion overall of the event.
Only got 3 shinies. Played all day but couldn't hatch eggs cause it's way too cold outside. Also did a ton of raids, nothing. This event is kinda a bust for me. Glad for everyone else though.
Whoever is in charge of putting on these events needs to be fired. Played with my 6 year old for 3 hours and no shinies after checking everything. Not only are they driving away their older fan base but also what could be a younger fan base

Im only a couple hours in and ive had some incredible luck im very satisfied with it already i caught shiny husuian voltorb growlithe and wild shiny uxie and then the research uxie was shiny too that was wild
I went into the event expecting no shinies since I saw how little shiny boosts there were, so, uh, at least I'm not disappointed in the result? Not like I was after some other tour when there were shiny boosts and I ended a full day of playing with two sinies. I ended up with 6 shinies; three of those were Kanto pokemon (2 Pikachus and somehow a Magnemite) and 3 were Dialga/Palkia. The field research tasks were also garbage. Nothing but power up tasks? With those rewards? No thanks.
I did 6 hours both day (I’m pretty sure), got 2 shinies on day 1 (Duskull and Giratina) and 6 on day 2 (two voltorb, two pikachu, a growlithe and a gible) it was all right but not great, better than Hoenn at least. (Why did Unown U spawn?)
I feel we’ve entered stage 3 now. Stage 1: free to play Stage 2: Pokémon purchases Stage 3: gambling Whilst I know the odd lucky person, the eggs have been rubbish, the raid shiny rate is abysmal, Unown shinies are non-existent and wild spawns are poor. I’m left feeling completely underwhelmed by the whole thing and let’s not forget that we didn’t even get the whole generation released this year. Niantic call it a ‘free’ event but it’s been one massive cash grab for incubators and raid passes. And people think console games are expensive!
So before the event shiny mantyke after the event with leftover egg. Shiny mantyke. I kid you not. I miss this event being paid. I miss it being 12 hours for a day. I miss collection challenges. I miss getting or trade to get the fully dex during the event. I hate having new legendary in raid. Like they are taking away from the event. Each tour seems to take out what I love and keep what I don’t.

If I tried hunting basculin by going up and down the same route over and over (normally first then reverse it then all over again) would it spawn the basculins or does it have to a different route everytime? I was more focused on hunting the lake guardians for fun today (got 5 shiny of them) so I only have one day to try and get basculin

I got 7 shinies in the full 8h. Most of the time i was raiding but no luck there either. Most memorable thing i caught was a shieldon with 0/15/15

The shiny really not boosted, just several pokemon, but I am glad I hatched shiny pachirisu in 10km egg..
Got 1 shiny ( a wild Azelf :) so happy for that), did mostly raids today, no shiny in them but a hundo hisuian samurott. Will do more of the other stuff tomorrow.
The only part of this event i enjoyed was pushing myself to walk for 4 hours. Catch rates were rough for me, many mons taking way too many balls to catch. Got one shiny qwilfish which is nice, but was certainly hoping for more with my time/ effort. Feeling punished for not spending money on the game, guess I should keep my expectations lower. I'd say maybe tomorrow will be better, but I used all of my saved balls and coins, so probably won't participate much.
got 23 shinies from day 1 but a lot were the boosted odds ones. hoping day 2 continues the momentum!

I feel like a game that is so based off making money off there players it’s weird they just don’t give out a ticket for like 20 or so dollars for a shiny boost on these tour events and go fest. I’ve been fortunate enough to go to a in person go fest and it was wonderful but it’s not possible for the vast majority of the player base so some kind of boost even in a paid ticket for global would be nice.
Because they know it would be hell because that's so pay to win. Most players don't realize in person events are pay to win events, just like how they don't realize eggs are lootboxes, but this shiny ticket would 100% be the biggest backlash they've had since remote raid pass backlash
During Kalos Tour, Shiny Diancie is highly expected debut during this event, hence day 1 Kalos Tour all Mega Pokemon including mega form legendary Pokemon will appear as raid boss.
So day 2 will Hoopa Unbound form elite raid and others normal raid are Mega or Mega Legendary raid. Shiny Hoopa Unbound form debut during day 2 Kalos Tour. Use certain amount stardust and Hoopa candies to change shiny Hoopa Unbound form to shiny Hoopa confine form.
Dual type Pokemon with one type weak or strong to another type Pokemon event will be separate from Kalos tour will take place before Kolas tour Volcanion debut during this event but only Tier 5 raid in Kalos tour happen that will be Volcanion raid, shiny Volcanion will debut during Kalos tour.
So it may be all Kalos Pokemon will join Kalos Tour.
21 shinies only 3 repeats & 1 hundo normal dialga. Only downside was the amount of dust we had to spend on quests/research & the sunburn. Day 2 is about to start here in Adelaide
Missed you today! Wow that hatch luck! The luck today for me was so so… I ended up with 13 shinies, couldn’t get the voltorb. Hopefully will be able to get it tomorrow, maybe change of environment at Olympic park tomorrow will increase luck.

My first day for Sinnoh Tour was absolutely horrendous… Would you believe me if I told you that I did about 60 raids in total and didn't get a single shiny Origin Forme? Also, some of my friends did the same amount and did not get a single one. For the day, I only got one shiny Pikachu, ONE! 😬
I got a shiny origin dialga early early on and it made me question if it was a guaranteed shiny somehow xP Condolences. No shiny origin Palkia yet though.
Played both days hard. Got 3 shinies 1st day, doing routes most of the day. Husband got the shiny basculin but I didn't. Hatched like mad, did research tasks like mad, nothing from those. Day 2, did about 52 bidoof research tasks (to give an idea how many I did of each hour). No hundos or shinies. Did get 3 more shinies the 2nd day, but no puffy fish.
I haven't actively played in a year. I don't even understand what's going on. It's honestly so overwhelming! 😂
I'm left feeling very blah about the whole two day event. In two days I did get 15 shinies. Am I supposed to feel good about that? I played almost the whole two days other than doing lunch and bathroom breaks. And even then I played. Of the 15 only 6 of them were ones I never had before. I did get the Hisuian sneasel and hisuian voltorb so that is why I'm not totally 100% down on the event. Their version of increased chances of shinies differ WAY more than mine. After this event I am taking a break from Pokemon. And hatched more than 20 purple eggs and not one shiny.
I got a shiny gible, regigigas, both shiny costume pikachus (not the hisui glitch ones), and a hisuian voltorb. Only one hundo and it was a gible from research! Legendarys are 3 dialgas, 1 origin palkia and 1 of each lake trio guardian.
Also i have a question, are shiny unowns only obtainable from in person events? I was on both days during hoenn tour and todays sinnoh and i still havent caught any. Am i just getting very unlucky?

I played the whole 8 hours. Did probably 30 raids no shinies from raids. Caught 8 wild shinies. Hatched 0 shinies (while running super incubators the whole time). But I played the whole day with my brother and at the end I had a great day and really enjoyed the first day of the event. I actually don’t mind the non boosted shiny rates. Shinies in main games are very rare. I don’t want them to make it easy. I like grinding and getting stoked to find rare things.
I finished with 86 shinies for this 2-day global event! It was so fun and exciting! Definitely an A+++ experience!! I didn't even use an incense! Got all 4 Pikachus with hats shiny, got Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit shiny, and got both origin formes with their new special moves too! I wish we could trade with others long distances. I don't know what I'm going to do with 6 shiny Stunkys! LOL! 😂What a fantastic time!! Hope everyone had a great time as well!
Got 17 shinies but they were wonderfull. 3 lake quardians, one unown, 3 hisuian sneasels, 3 pikachus, 2 lickitungs and all burmy forms +more
I can't really understand why they released white-striped Basculin but didn't release the ability to evolve it into the Basculegion - a Hisui pokemon no less that would have fit perfectly with the event. And why did they not release Phione or Manaphy? Not having a full generation release this year was a let-down. For me, the special activities & the origin-form raids were nice, but walking around catching there just wasn't enough to do and enough to be interesting this year. With a low shiny rate for everything except the handful they boosted and only 1 new pokemon to catch, it felt slow and boring.
I said it before- I’ll say it again. Would it kill Niantic to host Go Tour in the spring and then Go Fest in late summer every year. Being relegated to the crowded (dead zones galore) mall or literally getting frost bite makes me lose steam fast and end up going home early. Compile that with under performing shiny rates and it’s just frustration after frustration with this game.
Walked 17 miles and caught 27 shinies not including raids. Very lucky to get two shiny unown and the pachirisu which was my most wanted!!!

Niantic are very good at one thing, making this game feel like it's going down hill
i wrote this comment before starting the video. i had a blast on day 1. day 2 starts in 40 mins and im already very excited for it :D
I enjoyed the Global Sinnoh Tour, but I really wish that Niantic really increased the shiny rates. I can understand wanting to make the in-person events stand out more in that regard just to attract more people, but there's obviously only a small amount of the players who can afford to travel across the country or globe to play Pokemon Go. The first two region tours had tickets and as much as I don't like locking bonuses behind a paywall, I'd rather pay for a ticket to get a chance at extra Shiny Pokemon instead of having a free event.
I think this was better than the Hoenn Global Tour though. I did get a Dialga Origin form with perfect stats, my luck on Day 2 was incredibly better with 15 Shiny Pokemon and I was more prepared for the lower shiny rates compared to the Hoenn Tour. Plus, the Adventure Effects are really cool and I could definitely see them being helpful for future events.
Got one shiny og palkia and one Mesprit. Not the best but I"m ok and I'll do a few more raids on day 2

Hatched varoom egg and shiny ✨ absol and also caught shiny ✨ daliga and polkia really cool and shiny ✨ garatina both forms.
Very disappointed with the regional egg shiny rates for both versions of the event. Hatched 270 eggs in LA for 2 shiny Carnivine, 3 Mime Jr, and a Chingling. Zero shiny hatches of any kind today in almost 60 eggs.
37 shinies in 2 days, was a great event. Got the 3 regionals in 10km eggs❤
Gotta say yesterday was better than today, having caught six shinies yesterday today compared to today (only one). I was checking everything and hatching as many eggs as possible. And after 40+ legendary raids I still don’t have a shiny origin forme Palkia/Dialga. This is into the nearly hundred or so I’ve done since the shiny versions were released
They really do need to fix the shiny rates for global events rather than mix it up or keep them the same as normal rates

Hoping everyone had better luck than I did... especially with the raids.. the game crashed on me and in the end I couldn't complete the timed research..
played from the start of the event to about an hour left and only found 12 shinies with one of them being the Origin form Palkia, thanks niantic real great

Here in Holland it was terible. On average we got 1 some 2 shinys... in 8 hours playing. Very disapointed event again.
I played downtown the Hague and it still was terrible. Worst so far for me.
I did ok today, egg luck was pretty bad. stoked getting the hundo spirittomb.
I had really low expectations. I wound up with one wild shiny (an aron with about 30 minutes left). Got a shiny dialga origin without the special move, and a bunch of palkia origin that were average Iv's. And one regular form Palkia shiny. The only thing I liked with the shadow pokemon that were in rewards.

I work nights, so it limits me to how long I can play. I played for 4 hours and the only thing I have to show for it is a shiny Lickitung and a 98% Dialga
I saw those two shiny hatches and shouted “HOLY SH*T ZOË!!!”
Apparently I got really lucky then because I got 37 shinies, including my second ever shundo, one each of the lake guardians, all the wild hisuians other than qwilfish, both shellos, stunky and chatot
Definitely felt that the shiny rate is way down compared to other tour events in the past.
I went to take a snap shot of Mespirt and I found a the shiney Voltorb found in this video I got a shiney cottnee a few days ago too
Day 1 Just finished for me. Lucked out with 20 shinys. My Fiancee drives so thankfully I was able to play a couple hours in a moving car (I got 12 in the car alone!) So definitely play in the car on on a bus if you can!
The only shiny legendary I got was 1 shiny Palkia origin after 60+ raids. It didn't have the signature move so nobody wants to trade to get better iv's. We had many ppl in the group have the same problem with Palkia and Dialga origins... ppl won't trade without a signature since you can't elite TM. This was a major disappointment.
They shiny rate for legendary Pokémon wasn't increased at all. 1 in 60 is normal rate or worse.
The shiny rate everyone in the group got an average of 5-6 per day so boosted from a normal day but less than previous tour events for us.
I hope they unlock elite TM's so we can trade them or trade for them easier. Would have really changed my opinion overall of the event.

Only got 3 shinies. Played all day but couldn't hatch eggs cause it's way too cold outside. Also did a ton of raids, nothing. This event is kinda a bust for me. Glad for everyone else though.

Whoever is in charge of putting on these events needs to be fired. Played with my 6 year old for 3 hours and no shinies after checking everything. Not only are they driving away their older fan base but also what could be a younger fan base

Ive had 11 shinys including 1 Dialga from the raid, I caught about 1.1k Pokemon today. Maybe my luck wasnt too good

i got really lucky today, i'm in europe and i got the shiny chatot too, also i got a wild shiny uxie and a wild shiny mesprit, in total i got over 40 shinies and 3 hundos on the first day

The shiny rate of 10km eggs was a disaster. I believe there was a 100% increment, which is 0.00000000001% to 0.00000000002%. How kind it was. I should be feeling grateful. Thank you.

Im only a couple hours in and ive had some incredible luck im very satisfied with it already i caught shiny husuian voltorb growlithe and wild shiny uxie and then the research uxie was shiny too that was wild
I went into the event expecting no shinies since I saw how little shiny boosts there were, so, uh, at least I'm not disappointed in the result? Not like I was after some other tour when there were shiny boosts and I ended a full day of playing with two sinies. I ended up with 6 shinies; three of those were Kanto pokemon (2 Pikachus and somehow a Magnemite) and 3 were Dialga/Palkia.
The field research tasks were also garbage. Nothing but power up tasks? With those rewards? No thanks.

I did 6 hours both day (I’m pretty sure), got 2 shinies on day 1 (Duskull and Giratina) and 6 on day 2 (two voltorb, two pikachu, a growlithe and a gible) it was all right but not great, better than Hoenn at least. (Why did Unown U spawn?)

Whilst I know the odd lucky person, the eggs have been rubbish, the raid shiny rate is abysmal, Unown shinies are non-existent and wild spawns are poor. I’m left feeling completely underwhelmed by the whole thing and let’s not forget that we didn’t even get the whole generation released this year.
Niantic call it a ‘free’ event but it’s been one massive cash grab for incubators and raid passes.
And people think console games are expensive!

So before the event shiny mantyke after the event with leftover egg. Shiny mantyke. I kid you not. I miss this event being paid. I miss it being 12 hours for a day. I miss collection challenges. I miss getting or trade to get the fully dex during the event. I hate having new legendary in raid. Like they are taking away from the event. Each tour seems to take out what I love and keep what I don’t.
I couldnt really play unfortunately and i got 6 shinies. So not as good as laat year with hoenn tour but i had fun for the party i could play
First day, I had to work till 2pm. I played the rest, finished the research and not a single shiny.

If I tried hunting basculin by going up and down the same route over and over (normally first then reverse it then all over again) would it spawn the basculins or does it have to a different route everytime? I was more focused on hunting the lake guardians for fun today (got 5 shiny of them) so I only have one day to try and get basculin
