I find these little trucks fascinating as i have owned 5 of its younger brothers, the PL521. They were no rocketship either at 96 horsepower and has questionable brakes if not maintained regularly. I credibly smooth shifting though, as i had several people comment that they hadnt realized it was a manual transmission. If i had the opportunity I would have another one today. Cheers Terry
Thank you Terry for sharing what your thoughts were about these trucks. I don’t see many of these around anymore and i am also fascinated with them. I am familiar with the PL521 trucks. They are very reliable. Thank you for visiting my channel tonight. Rob in California
Well that's a pretty special guest. And how clever on your concoction to loosen up the engine. I like how you put write down the cylinder using the hose and some kind of adapter screw into it. It seems like you guys would be shoulder to shoulder. Was enough room in that truck for two guys if you're going on a long trip? We know maybe 5 minutes ha ha. At first when he showed that truck I thought wow he's been busy with his. By the way whenever you use their impact on a craftsman non-impact extension it voids warranty. I found that lejeune just the same thing.
Thank you !!!! That special fluid is still doing it’s work as I write this. I didn’t know that they asked questions about Craftsman tool use before replacing the broken tool. Snap-on no questions asked.
@@gaspumprob will Craftsman I'm not even sure how they do it now because they're not even owned by sears. I think they're owned by the hardware store chain I forget the name right now. Probably like anything else depends on who's working the counter that day. What I really meant to say why would you use an impact called earthquake in california? Aren't you afraid of starting one there! Hahaha 🤣
I loved seeing this truck around Grants Pass glad to see it went to someone that appreciates it. Great video but, Grants Pass is about 1400 feet in elevation fyi
That is so funny seeing the penetrating oil coming out of the carburetor! Give it time, it will come free, but I do vote for the rotary engine swap! The truck will always be slow with the engine… 😂
So i have a 64 kinda junky .this old guy just hooked me up on a hand painted l320 picture he was a Nissan tech said he had it hanging in garage 27years now in my apartment for motivation.

Nice truck a have 2 1960 Datsun trucks in running order but need some work and parts
I know that Rob would like to have a good NOS or a used windshield.
Nice !!! These make great projects if you can find parts. Thanks for visiting and sharing.
@@gaspumprob maybe you should have asked him if he knows there's some parts are at

The front looks like a 55 or 56 Ford
I hadn’t thought about that but now that you mentioned it I see that! Thanks for watching and commenting.
How tall are you guys? I hear a six foot man can’t get in a Datsun 320. Is that true?
I am six foot tall and Bob is six foot two inches. I fit in fine but Bob the owner takes his shoes off to drive .
