- Clicked off a few more 11 second passes the other night. Car gets driven all of the time, just recently made a straight 12 hour trip non stop without a hiccup. It's still the stock 145k mile block and stock transmission. You take care of your dsm and it will take care of you.

Awesome eclipse i bought a silver 99 gst from some dealer up in chicago i had it shipped back down to my home town Lubbock, Tx. Ill say this and most of you already know its better to look a car over in person than just go by the pics online when i got it me and a friend got to looking it over and turned out to be a rust bucket, rusted out holes in the strut towers bottom of the rad support was almost comepletely rotted out rear of the rockers gone just covered by the factory side skirts. I almost comepletely gave up and just wanted to part it out but its finally getting a fully body restoration a local body shop is cutting new metal to fit on it and i decided to pay to have a brand new paint job so far im up to $3200 and it keeps rising but i know itll b well worth it in the end i love these cars ill upload a video when shes done i am going to replace the engine and rebuild the old one with 400 hp i know what parts to buy so no worries about "what do i need to buy" nd such noob questions 😎
In all honesty I've never really been into eclipses, except for the one Paul Walker was driving and the one Tyrese was driving. But, this one is clean as fuck, sleek lookin. Good shit man #respect
Awesome job dude! I always loved your car. I never got a chance to run my car this season but I should be mid 11's myself. Best time to date is 12.00 @118 but that was before I went t3.

I've been trying to find your car featured on the magazine shown in this video but I can't! I love DSM, took me a whole summer to find one with under 105,000miles and pretty much all stock well taken care of ;) I'm in college and pretty much needed the car for work and school. With regular maintenance hopefully it will last for a while.

What 80% Of DSM owners dont do.. Instead they complain about crank walk.
thats true i have the rt strat which is pretty much the same as the gt and when shes happy she drives happy
I have never once complained about crank walk. Instead, I complain about transmission problems cuz I can't afford a Shep Trans!! But I still love my 1G!
im from spain and never see a cranckwalk on eclipses 2gen.

The complaints mostly come from the fact that it happens on stock engines even with regular maintenance. I have seen some that were never modified and still developed crank walk. Others are like this one. It has to do with the design somehow not whether you take care of it....Mitsubishi even came out with special bearings at one point. TL:DR .....if you have a 7 bolt that doesn't have crank walk and you take care of it lucky you...if it does have crank walk get a 6 bolt and take care of it...problem solved.
I can vouch for that my 99 has a almost 200K mile on stock internals and it still running strong. 8D

which gen evo motor is this. and does it mount up directly to the original gsx transmission? also does this fit well because i see the cam shaft is on the other side then the original 4g63
+Solomon Yim ... thats not a motor swap. its not out of an evo. thats a stock 7 bolt 4g63 that came in the 2g's so my guess is that it bolts up perfectly to the transmission because thats what it was made for

+Solomon Yim Never had any crankwalk problems. I swapped heads when I PCSd to California and started having trouble afterwards. That led to me putting in my built block and that letting go 1600 miles after. The car has been parted out now and I am working on an ls1 swapped fd rx7
Hey I just bought a 95 eclipse gs ( not gsx) will the 95 gsx rear and front bumper fit on my 95 gs? I think I have to change the headlights but idk.
The 95-96 eclipse gsx front and rear bumper are the same as the gs just the turbo models had a grey trim on them. The 2gb or 97-99 front and rear bumper is probably what you want. The rear fits no problem and the front bumper you will need the 97-99 headlights as well.

I have a GS 95 Mitsubishi eclipse manual transmission. I can not ever seem to find one on hear. Or some one smeared off the X. Does a GS exist.
Macadamia blk Yes. It's goes RS. GS, GS-T, GSX. RS is base model GS has more options added and are both non-turbo 420a 2.0 4 cylinder motors made by Chrysler. The GS-T is turbo, the GSX is turbo with AWD and those engines are the 4G63 4 cylinder motors made by Mitsubishi. hope that helps
yo, where'd you get that body kit?
that car looks completely stock on the body except the front lip. He may have trimmed the air dam where the intercooler is to expose it for better cooling and air intake. But other than that, pretty sure its just the standard eclipse bumper
