So happy that I came across this series. Started developing responsive App and these tips are extremely useful. Thanks Daniel for making these videos!!
You probably dont care at all but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the login password. I love any tricks you can offer me
Super Video Daniel looking forward to the next one, I have been experimenting with the screen size and just managed to set the width of the left side bar nav container to 0 when the App hits Size 1(mobile) . I want to put the buttons that were on the sidebar into the footer when on size1 (mobile). I'm then hoping to shift the previous footer text onto the tooltip of the right most button which will be an (i) info button when in Mobile Mode :) - So far so good thanks to a combination of these tutorials and Shane Youngs.
Hey Eric, I intentionally used Header Container because Header Container is already referencing Main Container. Main Container is referencing Parent Height and Width. This is what I meant by the different tiers or levels.
Hi Daniel, I had a quick question. In real world, do you still build Menu/Left Nav components and use it within these Layouts or do you do what you are doing here in this video? I am getting confused between when to use say, a Header Component and Left Nav component *and* these containers? Can we use them both at the same time? Thanks.
Hey Ram, In the real world I use both. If you already have a header and footer component then continue to use that. I you don't and if you want a responsive app then consider what I have show.
Hi Daniel, this Is a great video! Amazing content! This validates some of the concepts I am implementing in one of my apps. Have a question for you. My app is a project tracker with one section occupied by project tiles/list and a smaller section as activity log/comment section. I have also pop up windows to create pdf reporting/ document repository and other tools. What if I move these tools in containers and I link the position of these containers to the smallest new responsive container? Would they be fully responsive? Thanks again and keep up the good work. Davide
Thanks for the compliment, Davide. Your design idea sounds plausible, the only thing I'm not 100% sure of is the pop up window. Try it and let me know how it goes.
@@DanielChristian19 with 1 week of delay I have been able to test the solution discussed above. It works as I was hoping to. To be honest, I use the smart container on the right just for the fill portion property. By default the ratio is 2:1 and when I perform action using buttons on the left this becomes 1:1 to have more visualization space. All the pop-up containers have equal/related dimensions to the smart container. The only struggle, but this Isa known issue on my end is that it is impossible to use one unique font size as this is too small when the screen size decreases so I have to use a SWITCH formula using an alpha value to correct the size for smaller sizes. Thanks again for your videos. Now my app is really super responsive in all formats. Have a great day, Davide
I actually got it loaded by going into a canvas app, and then going to File. Then Clicking on "Open" and "Browse". This isn't cool--then you wind up in another app. Should be more straight forward.
Great video. Instructions are clear, concise, and straightforward.
Thanks for the compliment, Harry.
Love your approach to design using Container
Glad you like it!
Hi Daniel, Thank you for informative & responsive video... Hats off

Superb Video❤️ Thanks Daniel
Glad you liked it!
For label1.width couldn't you have made that Parent.Width vs HeaderContainer.width?
Hey Eric,
I intentionally used Header Container because Header Container is already referencing Main Container. Main Container is referencing Parent Height and Width. This is what I meant by the different tiers or levels.
@@DanielChristian19 Thanks for the reply! This makes sense. Keep up the great work!

Love your code. But I can't import your Canvas App.
