I guarantee James gandolfini had a blast being in a “mafia” movie with his friends and getting to do some physical comedy instead of being the big depressed boss.
Me too. But now that I think about it artie buco should just be everything no matter what the work. Including high school plays and prescription medication commercials as well as Oscar nominated films. Just like most things you cook should have some salt even deserts.
James Gandolfini would be an acclaimed movie actor had he not passed away. I really think he wouldn’t just be remembered as Tony Soprano, as amazing as he was in that role. I think that solely because he never took himself too seriously. He was willing to get a laugh or be serious. It’s just a shame we lost him before his time really
What makes the fact that Imperioli was part of this even funnier is that he was one of the writers on the Sopranos as well as an actor, so he was willingly part of a kid’s parody of his own work.
"Nicky Deuce" was not only one of James Gandolfini's final projects, but also the *very last* project to premiere within his lifetime! He died from a heart attack less than a month after the movie premiered. ☹️ R.I.P. James Joseph Gandolfini Jr. (September 18, 1961 - June 19, 2013) Can't forget Tony Sirico. R.I.P. Fun little film, no doubt. I remember hearing about it through Talking Sopranos - I messaged Steve afterwards telling him I enjoyed the film and he gave it a like, thought that was cool
"That way I can just write it off as a joke" not being followed by a clip of Vito telling the guy from Yonkers its a just s joke is a missed opportunity
That is so shocking; I saw that movie when I was little and didn't really remember how all the guys looked like, and seeing them after having watched "The Sopranos", I can't believe how so many guys from the show appeared in there!
Steve Schirripa never shuts up in interviews about how he made this movie too lol, The calzone with legs is original and thinks he’s more creative than Spielberg lmao

As a kid I watched this movie, before I was a sopranos fan Now I’m just fucking awestruck that they got basically every main cast member except Edie Falco to appear in this shit
Cool vid, you should review the vampire gangster movie Innocent Blood for Halloween, which stars many sopranos actors like Robert Loggia, David Proval, Tony Sirico and Tony Lip.
When you think about it, most of the big character actors in Sopranos and other crime movies and TV shows are veteran wiseguy-role performers. Including often in comedic roles, because you take those too if you have a face and a voice like that! You see them in so much. So it's not all that surprising to see multiple guys together in another project about the mob. Though Sopranos was so huge that projects like this made afterwards certainly have that effect magnified by at least some element of a "stunt casting" approach.
Which reminds me, Oz should be your next project after The Wire. I am not aware of anyone doing Oz, apart from the odd supercut. Your videos are excellent ❤.
Hey Kino, ever consider doing a video on The Sopranos' depiction of animals? It's clear that they mean something to Tony, but I'm curious about your take.
I like Steve but he's got a weird thing about the pigs, I don't get it. You can tell The Sopranos cast has mad love for eachother supporting Steve in a project like this though, dope to see. Oz is too slept on 💯
