No elastic at the legs and threaded through at the waist is FAB. No visible elastic to go grey when you wash your nice white knickers😂. Loving the course, thank you.
I really loved your videos. I’m going to, my own knikers. I’m going to make my first tests. I’m living in France and it’s difficult for me to fin good nature elestic for the knicker
I e only recently started making clothes and knickers is something I find hard to buy that's comfortable as I've had 4 c sections so have a lot of scaring so I need high waisted I've got some very soft jersey and I've started using that to make some underwear and they are so comfortable to wear I dnt put elastic on the legs and I've made a channel to thread it thru the waist that way it's a lot more comfy for me

Oh dear me. I enjoyed video 1. I thrift ALL my fabrics. I need better undies, and I was thrilled to see your videos. When checking out at the thrift store, one of the managers was asking what I was preparing to make. The conversation was going well. keep in mind we are in the deep South where color of skin can still be uneasy. I was telling her of your video and how you called them every name under the sun. But you stuck with calling them Knickers. All of a sudden the entire atmosphere changed. She is a black woman and I have a Southern drawl. 5 times We discussed exactly what I said. I will be much more careful with my pronunciation. I hope she adds a bit of cotton in her ears to not be so sensitive, This is 2024 not 1880 or 1960.
😮 she should have been sorry when and if she finally understood it was knickers (funny that she would link it to the so contentious n-word given the context you were talking about at length) ://
I remember when I watched a Chinese cartoon there was a fantasy sequence where a swastika appeared. I jumped in my seat and it took me some time to calm down. But they meant it as a Buddhist symbol not a nazi sign. I was not ever personally impacted, just through family stories of my cousins who were killed. I do believe a lot of the reaction is involuntary but once the feelings are up, rational mind takes a back seat and it takes time for it all to subside enough for understanding.
The more colors you use, the more I want to make a pair just like them to wear on 'at home' days.
The perfect use for leftover material!
I'm the same. I'm all for the colour blocking and think it's actually pretty cute.
A whole new trend!
I have very little experience with sewing anything but rectangles. But here I am, adding the elastic on panties I made myself. Thank you so much!
@@breimalislobodnoime we love these stories!

You made a nice pair of colorblocked knickers! It is a great way to use up scrap or upcycled fabric. 😊

I don't put elastic at the legs.
Thank you! Subscribed!
thank you ! nice polish accent ; ) Do you use MARAFLEX or normal tread ?
Of course, you can use a wider elastic at the waist and let it extend past the fabric to hug the body for "boy-style" panties.
8/17/24 Good video. Please do a video on a basic bodice. I'm plus size bust 44 inch, waist 42 inch, hips 59 inch

I actually understand everything you’ve said throughout these three videos! Thank you so much. I can’t wait to make a pair. 💜🧵
