Really enjoyed this video, just like your other videos of course but I have Tiftuf at the front and back of the house, although way smaller than yours, and really hoping one day I could turn mine as mint as yours. Thx a lot mate!
The lawn looks amazing, I drove past the other day responding to the fire nearby and had to call back past later in the day to see it in person. Love the videos, keep up the great work. Thanks for inspiring the rest of us.
Great video. I'm 2 weeks post Reno. Same grass, same Reno & recovery method. Confirms in on the right track. Will be stoked if mine recovers like yours.👍
Bloody work always getting in the way of mowing the lawns😂😂 we all would have such great lawns if we didn't have to work so much👍 looks great mate keep it up
Having in ground irrigation is the game changer man. Imagine having to move a manual sprinkler to 4 or more different spots everytime u need to water and timing it.. u can absolutely do it but requires so much effort especially post reno every day dragging the hose out attaching the sprinkler placing it timing it etc
The Tiftuf looks absolutely amazing post reno. I agree it's the best its ever looked in all your videos and will only improve. Have you checked out the Ironcutter hybrid couch? I cannot decide between Tiftuff, Tahoma 31 or the newly released IronCutter. Its fantastic there are new varities being released into Australia, makes it so interesting.
I don’t know a lot about iron cutter . I understand it may be slightly better suited to cooler parts of the country such as Melbourne etc. I have a little bit of T31 it’s a slightly different colour to the others. But in my opinion I struggle with the way it’s been marketed.
Firstly thank you for all your content produced to date Brenton. I recently got Tiftuf Bermuda and laid three weeks ago. There is a lot of crowfoot that’s come up in it. I got told to use oxafert to control it. What’s the difference between using oxafert vs barricade?
Basically same same. Bunnings also has a product called Freehand that works with the same mode of action. However, don't use pre-emergents on a newly laid lawn. Always wait until at least 6 months after your lawn has established before using it. You'll get lots of broadleaf and other stuff cropping up in the first season but from there on you can use pre-emergents and it'll get it under control. I'm 4 years into Tiftuf now and its a mint grass!
You might need something post emergent to control the crowfoot if it's already germinated. Barricade uses a different chemical to Oxafert. Barricade will give you longer control than oxafert

The Claw?
Lawn is also super smooth (no scalping) and edges are flush with the sidewalk and driveway. 👍
Cheers Brian Im super happy with it all
Australia’s best Tiftuf
Not quite haha but thanks mate
Unreal mate. TifTuf is the complete opposite to SGZ. I envy the turnaround time your lawn has.
Thanks mate, Im actually keen to try some SGZ and see what I can get it to do
What a beautiful recovery! Looks awesome mate! I am looking forward to the release of the Aussie Lawn scratch n sniff turf book hahaha

Very mint 👌
Thanks Woodzy 👍
Very nice colour
Not too shabby hey Luke
@theaussielawn you must have been tight for time, I wouldn't be able to resist doing a tripplr cut to make those lines really pop
Looks unreal mate, have the same battle with wanting to walk behind mow over the triplex but yeh big areas take a lot of time.
Hey Trav, Yeah walk behind for the win, Just not for the time 😂
That lawn is looking top draw can’t believe how quickly it came back after the Reno, great work, and how good does the 9mm cut look
Yeah 9mm looks so good, Im trying to keep up with the walk behind mower.
Can you do this type of renovation with any types of zoysia?
You can but the recovery time will be slower

Sana ana update
I'll do a little update next time, Its not looking quite as good if im being honest, Its a bit leggy and the colour isn't as nice
How long does it take your sprinklers to put down 6mm?
About 20mins
Looking mint Brenton! Just wow! Great job mate. Side note - where do you get your overalls from?
Thanks mate, I just got them at the Hardware store or rural store I think
What overalls are they?
Tyvek by DuPont just from hardware
You can sleep better at night now with the barricade down 😅
Absolutely
Almost looks as good as my TTTF in hottest part of Summer 😂
I might need for you to share some tips with me mate 😉
Barricade so good for those vulnerable roots of Tif taffy 🤓thumb down
😂😂 Tiff Taffy haha love it
