I’ve been brushing for about 4-5 weeks now. Waves coming in. However, I feel like the sides is taking longer to wave up. Should I trim my hair? Keep brushing?

Other than that moisturize, brush, brush, wash once a week, brush brush, rag, sleep, wake up brush. Trust the work you put in. It's gonna take months for you to see progress
After you wake up, unrag and let you hair decompress for like 5mins before you brush a little. Then moisturize until you can see the product in your hair. Brush for like 20-30 mins to an hour. Rag up for 2-5 hrs and you're good. That's how you get the ripples/waves to resurface after a good brush session. With straight hair it's going to lay straight as you brush but the more you strain it the better the waves will come in. Once you see 's' curls you're at the beginning stage. Then you get ripples to waves. Oh yeah and don't comb alot if your hair is too short. Focus more on brushing than anything
Just gave you a bunch of tips I got from like 10+ wavers. Honestly your best bet is to watch wave videos until they flood your recommended. Watch different videos and see what works best for you. Everyone's hair and waves are different

Comb wont help unless your hair isnt thick. Seems like you aint really wolfing, I been wolfing for 2 months no cut or nothing n my waves too thick to comb. If I comb them it just takes the waves out n then I got to do the shower brush method

Up to you. If you do ALWAYS go with the grain. Find a waver with similar hair texture to you and see if they have videos of them getting cut or talking about how low to go. A 2.5 with the grain is standard.

You don't figure out ur ownn pattern. You are supposed to train your hair however u want eit a hard brush.

I brush my hair about a total of an hour a day and I use coconut oil and Murray’s in my hair. I have the exacttt same hair as you and I’ve been doing this for almost two months and I haven’t seen any progress. What am I doing wrong ?
I’ve been told to brush more because 1 hour a day ain’t enough as much brushing as u can
And I don’t use Murray’s I use moisturizers

Don’t shower you hair everyday do it 1-2 times a week that’s what messed me up 🤦🏽♂️
Don't wash your hair too much only 1x a week or a lil less then put Coconut oil or curl enhancement smoothie on about 3x a week if not more and no Murray's or pomades straight hair textures don't need em they lay your hair down too much
