We headed out to the Red List Group’s Truck War to check out Izzy’s Black Mamba. This thing is a MONSTER! Running an 8 second 1/4 mile time in a heavy brick of a truck is no easy task, and that’s exactly what these guys set out to do!

he should put is tailgate back on if he cares about aerodynamics. by removing it he is actually creating more drag and slowing the car down. if weight is a problem a fabric tailgate would be best. it has been tested to death and the fact is having the tailgate up is better for aerodynamics allowing to the car to cut through the air better than not having a tailgate.

Tyler Hoeve I'll bite, drag cars load the rear tires thus unloading the front. Focusing suspension set up to put that weight transfer on the rear tire will yield better 60's and removing the rotational mass from the front will yield quicker et's. for some street grudge racing on unprepared surfaces. The awd would be better. Clearly this is mainly a track vehicle.
NiCadRacer i think he'd see better times with awd if he had a similar setup to the gtr, having a computer portion out power for the front so he's not wasting power. but yea, other than no prep, awd is pretty much useless in drags

that would help. it's mainly because of the AWD launches and torque steers like mad... look at 1:53 launch. looks like the power is flexing the axles. definitely gotta have a good sway bar for putting 1600 through an AWD train.

Izzy, what transfercase are you running for the AWD? Is it the trailblazer SS/Silverado SS case? I heard some even run the old Typhon/Cyclone case. Looking for an AWD case for behind a 400 or 4L80E, that will take some power.
