    Nice machine that should serve you well for many years !! Having more horse power is way over rated, I only had 500cc and I never needed any thing more.

    Been to Magone road many times but never checked out that trail after the pet cemetery, looks like it was heading east and was hoping it would be another trail to the pipeline instead of using that other slow rocky one. Can’t believe how easy the transmission shifts wow sometimes I have to rock mine to get it into gear. Nice video Rob

      @RobFarrowATV  Год назад

      Thanks John! Ya I like the smoothness of the transmission shift, hopefully it stays that way and there's no problems. Only time will tell.

    Been following your channel for a while. Great videos! Just curious as to why you got rid of the XMR 850? I have a 2017 Outlander Max XT1000R, have about 8000 kms on it now. Love the power of the 1000 and the vtwin engine. Father in law just bought the 700 Max XT. I was super disappointed in the power. Sure we don’t need all that power, but you got to admit it’s nice to get on the throttle every now and then and hear that v twin roar.

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Год назад +1

      I am having issues with my back and the XMR 850 was putting a lot of strain on it. Went to the XMR 1000 side by side and it was easier on my back but it was big and heavy. Then I decided to buy a boat, so I sold the sxs. Now I just wanted to have something that was cheaper to do some work around the house and some trail exploring. This seemed like the perfect machine, so far so good. Thanks for the support!

    Hey Rob! Nice ride 👍
    If you are looking for a great tire, definitely look over the Kenda K587 I can personally say that the are great! 8 ply.. strong a$$ tires. And excellent traction and ride.

    Good tour! Looked like a great day for a ride
    Did CanAm finally put some thought into a decent trail machine? 50 HP is plenty, but I think I'd miss having a front brake and those hinges on the front cargo box are not well designed. Nice to see you back exploring (vs mudding). Sad to see all the garbage. It's so disappointing that people do that.
    4:04 - awful nice of you to dust that lady out - lol
    14:54 - makes a guy want to go in there even more now. Gotta see why they don't want you in there😂.
    23:45 - are those 12" rims? What size tires? Just curious.
    Tons of trails going in every direction. Thanks for taking us along!

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Год назад +1

      Thanks Man! Ya Can Am addressed a lot of their shortcomings from earlier years but they did cheap out on a couple of things to keep the price down on this machine. Visco in the front diff for one. Machine rides nice and 50hp is all I need these days. There's a few plastic pieces that will be interesting to see if they hold up. Ya 12" stock rims. I've gotten rid of the 26" skinny stock tires and put on 27" Mud Lite II's 9" and 11" and put some black lug nuts on to hide the silver studs LOL. I do miss the front brake as it gives most of the stopping power, when you jamb on this lever you can start to float sideways in gravel. So far all in all it's a good machine.

    Hey, just curious... has canam updated or changed their clutching or is it the same as always? The clutching on my 570 outlander is clunky and noisy

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  9 месяцев назад

      Clutching is different but still clunks when you take off. Belt is also a different size now than the old Outlanders. Thanks Jason!

    • @Icutmetal

      I have the same p-Drive primary on my snowmobile as on these new ATV’s- it’s quite smooth and responsive but clunky going from forward to reverse, but that’s in an eTec using the secondary for reverse along with reverse engine rotation.

    What were the issues with the 2016?
    I own one and no issues but I rarely ride it

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  Год назад

      If you were to ride it like an XMR Mud machine, stuff will break. If you rarely ride it and for nice trail rides there's no real issues. The rear diff was a big issues, kept letting in water when I rode in water, even after changing seals multiple times it still leaked. Ended up buying a Mud'N Wheels diff, no issues after that.

    • @RobFarrowATV
      @RobFarrowATV  7 месяцев назад

      @@bakarikonte Personally I think it will be very reliable, although there are a few things that might go such as the visco which was known to start failing about 3000kms but that's no big deal unless you're mudding with it. I think overall it will be an awesome trail machine for the long run. Just my two cents worth.
