I'm new to your channel, and so far I'm learning so much. I just turned 57 and was always able to just throw on any ol makeup and be happy with it, and head out the door. But about the last 5 year's I'm finding the whole skin care/makeup routine is a completely different ball game. I thought I went from young to old overnight. I watch so many tutorials, it’s nice to see someone of a similar age group who takes their time to explain things. I think the colors you've chosen, including brows, are perfect for you complexion.
No. 7 has great foundation, concealer, bronzer, powder (pressed and loose), and primer.

I continue to play with my makeup (colors and brands) - - I find it's the only way to find what works - trial and error! Thanks for keeping us all working to improve our skin and makeup as we age. I have learned a lot. As much as I always thought I was taking good care of my skin (after those early teenage sun mistakes), I have started using the RA line and my skin has literally come alive. No one ever guesses my age of 72.

You need to try a brown mascara and liner. Black is to harsh on your mature skin. Brown will soften your look.
Love L’Oréal pro glow. Definitely one of my favs!!! Thanks so much for the tutorial. 🙏❤️🙏 oh and they have a lighter shade of that milani primer . It’s for fairer skin tones, more of a champagne color or pearly glow. Yes that too faced concealer is amazing! I even sheer it out and wear as a foundation some times. It’s Gorgeous ❤️

I wish the brow situation had worked better, because when you were applying it other than not being the right shade, i was thinking wow, it really looked good. Hello Sandra! I was disappointed too with the NYX brow product too. I was impressed with how they looked, but man oh man...would be a mess in no time. :(. OK!...I am excited to explore more drugstore products and do more research on it!!!
My favorite drug store foundations are Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation, COVERGIRL & Olay Simply Ageless Instant Wrinkle-Defying Foundation, Physicians Formula The Healthy Foundation. I love the COVERGIRL Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Pressed Powder, Maybelline New York Fit Me Loose Finishing Powder.. These all work well on my mature skin. I highly recommend the Marc Jacobs eyeliner for a no-smudge super thin tight liner. I know that isn't from the drug store but some products are worth the extra. ;)

I have a few products that I just started buying that are a little pricey but work best for me.
Finding budget friendly makeup to help offset the cost is so helpful. I actually always just wore drugstore makeup but I am 56 now and when it comes to eye serums, concealer and face primer I need more help
Can't tan either. Freckle collection. Irish & a little French. I got some frozen off. It wasn't too bad. Sunscreen makeup or both. 😂 Tan.
Final look is beautiful! Like the Milani glow under the foundation. I’ll have to try that application. I personally like the brows, however if it doesn’t stay it’s not a keeper. Happiness, Teresa

I’ve tried many high end foundations and always go back to my L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow. It’s a hidden gem at the drugstore! Need to check out the Milani glow product now! 😍

Dear Jeannine, I agree with you. After all these very expensives fondations and never being happy with the results, I have been using Pro-Glow for many years. Sometimes the price has nothing to do with the quality.
The elf brow products are the best. $4.00 for the fiber brow & then the waterproof clear. I use the Revlon eye brow pencil, but elf really gives me more brow than I have. Also the Neutrogena foundation I absolutely love along with Flower Beauty foundation my two favorites, because they have cool under tones. Milani new creme blush stellar. They look dark but are shear. Love your look today & I have the elf four pans, some are better than others but I have them all. I also have high end, but have found so many great drugstore products, I've decided to save the money to see my esthetician more often.
LOVE that you see you esthetician. ;) In this country we tend to spend our money on the makeup, and not as much on our SKIN. (we even spend our extra on coffee, pedicures etc...) SO for all of us estheticians out there....Kudos to you! :). Thanks so much for your suggestions too...I am going to check those out!

You look beautiful as usual. You were meant to be a blonde!!! The drugstore products I use are the Nyx lip liner pencil, wet n wild pink sort of frosted lipstick. I think it is shade 504, but I am not sure, sorry. I love the Loreal neutrals palette with brown and also some shimmers on it!! I do use benefit brow pencil, but I have not tried the tinted brow gel yet!! I think that is about it. I love the way you do your eyes!!! The hair also looks great!! The long hair looked gorgeous that you wore with the multicolored bronde!!!

Max Factor stick foundation and buff it in. Started using Wow Combo mascara, best I have ever used.

Oh yeah. That is some GREAT concealer! That's going on my wish list for sure.
What a bummer that the NYX brow powder so easily transferred (and probably faded away over the day😫). Because it looked absolutely great on you! I use a similar powder by Maybelline (so inexpensive and last forever) and set (seal? Not sure what to call it) with Physicians Formula gel (in a tube with spoolie like mascara) that barely has a tint. Very forgiving products to work with. It stays all day and helps enhance my sparse hairs. I tried a darker gel with more “thickness”, and had a huge mess-Looked a toddler tried to do brows with shoe polish LOL. Not my best work. 🥴 Thank you again for your sweet encouragement to try without fear, and learn what works for each of us. 💜

Beautiful look Jill!! You always look stunning. It’s so hard these days (at least here in Ontario Canada), with Covid, we are still under a stay at home order. The drug stores are open but there are no testers, so seeing these drug store videos (and all makeup videos actually) really helps! Yes, I’d LOVE to see some more drug store videos. One tip for you.....if you use the skinny brow pencil from Benefit, you might want to try the waterproof one from Rimmel. I find it’s just as good, and WAAAYY cheaper!!

Love the drugstore makeup reviews! I have a couple items I really like. One is the Milani blush in tea rose also the Milani Make It Last setting spray. And I've never used a setting spray, it was just a suggestion someone gave me. If you try these lmk!! Thanks again for the inspo!

Great tips! My drugstore faves:
*Wet n Wild retractable eyebrow pencil in ash brown
*NYX tinted eyebrow mascara in chocolate (this reads like a taupe)
*elf poreless face primer
*elf cream contour palette
Everything else is IT foundation, IT illumination powder, IT je ne sais quoi lip color and Tarte eyeshadow, mascara and blush.

BTW, even though Tarte does market to a younger demographic, I love their shadows cause they are a creamy powder that you can apply with your fingers. Also the packaging has made some of their limited editions collectibles. Yes, really.
Almost anything from Wet 'n Wild is great and, believe it or not, Dollar Tree has a pretty good brand of its own,

I feel like with the transfer after tight lining it really depends on the way your eyes are set. Everything I put on the top of my tight line transfers right underneath my lower eyelashes!
I will tell you the thing that works best is Inglot gel eyeliner. You have to be very careful because it’s a gel of course and let it sit but if you do that it really doesn’t transfer. This product is known to do that and they also have a little clear product that makes everything waterproof and you can dip in that beforehand. If you look on the Inglot website you will see what I’m talking about
