I could never take the show seriously since It's just a endless slugfest of the good guys constantly winning. Plus, Greivious is all but useless, same for Ventress, the tactical droids and even Dooku. There's no ebb and flow to the war. No sense that the Republic or Jedi can lose. The closest we get to a genuine loss is Felucia and even then everyone gets out fine. I mean, if our heroes never lose, why should I care?

Like I said, the ONLY genuine loss the Republic suffered was Felucia when Anakin, Ahsoka and Obi-Wan were forced to pull-out. Every other "loss" the Republic suffered was temporary and the Republic always won either at the end of that episode or later in the show. Or it was insignificant to the war. Five's death for example was, while somewhat emotional, insignificant to the war as a whole. The good guys lost nothing but a single clone and the bad guys gained nothing exept sealing a leak to the grand plan. The whole mind control chips plot was ridiculous anyways and proved Dave had written himself into a corner by making the clones too human.

In the Clone Commando series, one of the Mandalorian trainers would keep track of each of the squads he trained and would recite the fallen soldiers name each day so they were not forgotten. He also built a memorial to the Clones who fought and died in the Clone Wars and buried in it the identifying chips from their armor.

Show is for all ages, young kids to adults. It is part of the magic of the show, the show is appealing to every age. The Clone Wars truly is a masterpiece.

@@Nothing-1w3 Ah... Well, multiple reasons I suppose. For starters, college takes up a lot of time, and lots of exams too. I also kind of made the mistake of jumping from one project to another, alongside not being really motivated as a result. I've got an unfinished Midway remake, a Final Solution remake, an Umbara with Angels calling your name, and then the season 7 with the Last Battle vids in the works. Been trying to finish that last one, but it's hard to get decent clips. The ones I found have a few glitches, but I think I'll use them regardless of that. But yeah, trying to get back into it.

The only way to make a music video of it is to capture the grand scale of the War, by showing the various fronts being fought, in the air, the sea, the land, the brutalized fields, the thousands dying every day. This video that showcases the conflict of the C Lone wars is befitting of the song. A galactic scale war is a truly horrifying concept I don't think many people realize.

So, When concept artists were working on The Sequel Trilogy(Specifically The Last Jedi) one of the design philosophies was that The Original Trilogy was World War 2 and The Sequel Era was Cold War Conflicts like Korea or Vietnam. If we apply this idea retroactively, that makes The Clone Wars World War I, aka The Great War. And I think that tracks pretty well, seeing as the Clone Wars was a big violent war that caused major shifts in every facet of society and set the stage for authoritarian rule, along with Technology that was common place in the Second World War being developed during the clone wars(Like Star Destroyers, Hyperdrive Enabled Starfighters, Super Weapons, etc. etc.)
I can't believe this never showed up in my searches for the original (awesome) video before. I've been a Star Wars fan my whole life, watching the original trilogy on VHS until the tapes gave up, but never watched The Clone Wars series--after this I may have to go watch it. VERY well done!

I saw them a few days ago in Chicago. The show sold out, the front row was packed, and the crowd got hyped. Best concert I've been to in a long time.

Hands down one of the best AMV's I've seen. The scene with Palpatine and the lyrics "Is this the lies that we've been sold" was perfect!

So, When concept artists were working on The Sequel Trilogy(Specifically The Last Jedi) one of the design philosophies was that The Original Trilogy was World War 2 and The Sequel Era was Cold War Conflicts like Korea or Vietnam. If we apply this idea retroactively, that makes The Clone Wars World War I, aka The Great War. And I think that tracks pretty well, seeing as the Clone Wars was a big violent war that caused major shifts in every facet of society and set the stage for authoritarian rule, along with Technology that was common place in the Second World War being developed during the clone wars(Like Star Destroyers, Hyperdrive Enabled Starfighters, Super Weapons, etc. etc.)
That start tho together with the epic music! Gave me the chills. Amazing job!

dear god as a clone wars fan the line of helmets from rex to the phase 2 hits really hard when you know the fate of the clone it hurt to think about but this is a great video and a great song from the legendary sabaton and with all of my heart thank you for reminding me of my childhood
