- A Superior Court judge ruled Monday to overturn the San Francisco Unified School District’s decision to remove a controversial mural from George Washington High School.
I've been following this since it first came out I am so thrilled. Art and history needs to be preserved. End of story
That includes all the statues that they're tearing down as well because that's art and history as well

You know what's likely to happen when it's hidden/forgotten? It's going to be repeated. That's why you study history...so you don't repeat the wrongs of the past.
The mural does not glorify slavery, which would, of course, be immoral and glorify our country's history of oppression and violence. The mural is there to make it difficult to pretend that slavery never happened, and that's a good thing.

Is this art part of the WPS Program??? We have a school in a Milwaukee suburb…..some people wanted to paint over it…once they learned it was a WPS project, they all wanted it protected….it now has been professionally cleaned and restored…..it’s part of the theatre entrance

Cover up everything
I’m lover of art so this makes perfect sense to me. The emotions of humanity and freedoms of artistic expression should never be taken down or covered. Unless they cause pain to many individuals who see it ? Like natzi symbolism in Germany. Wonder how Native American kids feel when we are depicting a proud people at the moment they lost their country and soon their lives.
