I am not able to buy gifts. I have one son and he understands so any money is spent preparing his favorite foods whenever I visit and the holidays and his birthday which is two days after Thanksgiving. Many times the gifts we buy end up in a closet or with dust . Memories of time spent with good food and quality time from the heart are priceless. ❤️
I agree somewhat, but boy I sure miss our big family holidays’. The older you get seems a lot changed. My mom is in the hospital right now and is contagious so I can't visit but I call her every day and read Jesus Calling to her. I gave her that book a few years ago. It's helping her deal with being in the hospital and relaxes me, too! PS your hair looks fab! LOVE the slightly side part and length!

A well done video Dominique, the gifted hat is an amazing memory of your beautiful mother. We had a few Christmases when our children and us the parents, all found a needy family and donated things like groceries warm coats and a few toys if little ones were on the list. We all felt the true meaning of Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season.

I’m making 4 wreaths for my 4 daughters for Christmas made out of vines from our property where they grew up. Hubby and I will be retiring and moving and wanted to bless their new homes with a home blessing wreath. Dad and I harvested the vines, dried and “deleafed”them in the Ohio sunshine. We then shaped the vines into wreaths and then the job of design is mine🤯. 4 girls , very different so each wreath will reflect their style snd home decor…all season is what I hope. The ribbon selection has taken hours but I know it will set the tone as my first task. My glitter girl is a dog lover so I spray painted her wreath white, adding a light dusting of fine iridescent glitter. Ribbons to compliment paw prints in black and white and plenty of greenery. I want the wreath to look great on her black door, red brick home. Dad will paint her new initial Red to balance the greens/bow side….a real effort of love as we pray for the new homes/lives of each daughter and pass on a piece of their childhood before we sell. I stumbled upon a used copy of Jesus Calling at our local Goodwill and know it was meant to be. It is by far my favorite devotional ever. It is amazing as I read each entry it is as though those words were meant specifically for me. It is a wonderful way to start my day studying the Word! I have gifted it to so many people. Love your gifting ideas! Being remembered with a small gift from friends and loved ones is such a special feeling. I am thinking of what I can give that uniquely fits with each person. Regarding "Jesus Calling"). A dear friend of mine (the husband of a very close friend who had planned on being a Catholic priest) gave me this book about 10 years ago. I to this day find it incredibly inspirational. I know it's based on Scripture and I would like to say I agree - what a wonderful book - it's timeless. It is a great book for anyone Christian - no matter what the denomination.. If you follow Jesus Christ then you will find it amazing.

I've been choosing carefully this year My husband and I have been making donations to a number of meaningful charities and I have been donating to other charities myself. This year our family will have a "theme" so there will be no wasted gifts. Love the suitcase line, I will look into it for the travelling people in my family...They are always on the move! I’m a Mom of 3 & Grandmother of 10 now on social security. I’ve always celebrated my grandchildren’s birthdays with an experience versus gifts. We’ve gone to sporting events, plays, musicals, 3D movies & dinner, concerts, gift certificates for the whole family at Great Wold Lodge and camping for a week w/Grandma. The kids look forward every year and I get to expose them to different kinds of music & lifestyles. My 21 year old Grandson called me on my birthday & said “ I want to bring you to a concert but you pick as you pick the best kinds of music”…….
