I have a sleep study soon and it sucks that I can’t use my phone because that’s how I sleep. I use it for like 1-2 hours and in that time I’m slowly getting tired until I eventually knock out for like 10 hours
Can’t use a phone? Da fuk. This just gets worse and worse. Also I live in a poverty city so I’m expecting my “room” to look more like a prison cell. A lot more like a prison cell. Yep. Fak
@@alaefarmestatesllc oh ok I thought you was from indiana. Cause this video is from indiana. I was at the location downtown. I was able to use my phone there.
So I'm about to possibly undergo a overnight sleep study and I was just wondering if there are going to be some type of nurses there as well because I get nighttime feedings through my G-tube and I can't see well enough to set it up hook myself up and start the feeding so I was wondering if there's are sometimes nurses they're the kind of help with that
If your doctor deems it needed, they can typically make a strong case (based on your own medical history, what you say you're experiencing during the day and night, etc.) for why it's "medically needed" and get it most if not all covered, maybe pay a copay or something towards the deductible. If you don't have insurance, sliding scale (payment based on your monthly income).
I sleep on my side and toss and turn every hour or so. Seems the probes would detach from my head. Same when I was in hospital for covid. Nurse keeps coming in and says “sir, you need to keep still during sleep” because i kept popping the wires loose from the electrodes, but I cant sleep on my back so I toss and turn. That hotel room looks comfy though I always thought it was in a hospital in one of their uncomfortable beds.
Do they have a sleep study for if my upstairs neighbor makes bumping noises and can it make me roll over and move around in my sleep, or could something else cause this to happen?
So a dear friend of mine that my family and I took in due to his health problems is about to be having a sleep study in a couple of weeks and two things I was curious about is one will he have time to do Isha prayer? As a Muslim he prays five times a day and praying before going to sleep especially in his religion is very very important. Isha p r Ayer takes about 5 minutes but since he's going in for a sleep study he might spend a little longer. The second question that I have relating to his health is will there be a nurse there? Because he gets breathing treatments every night before bed and he gets hooked up to his feeding pump and also during the day he gets to feedings he will also be having a daytime sleep study. So I was wondering if there are typically nurses and sleep labs to help with those kind of people. My family and I would not want him going without his feedings. Again when it comes to his spiritual routine he is kind of nervous that he won't be able to fulfill his prayer obligations for Islam. And if he doesn't do his five daily prayers unless he's obviously really sick he considers it very bad to skip
@@CutieRingoJoy everything went wonderfully. The sleep staff was awesome and he had a very sweet and wonderful Muslim nurse taking care of him. She even joined him in Isha prayer to the best extent because due to the fact that a Muslim man and a Muslim woman aren't supposed to be alone together. But she even helped with his tube feeding needs which was very wonderful of her but when he woke up needing the aid of a machine to help him breathe at night besides the oxygen along with the Sleep Tech she came running in and recited Quran to him while holding his hand and being a source of comfort to him.
I heard your hair need to be shampoo and no gel or conditioner or oils in hair. I have bleached hair and it's difficult to comb as it's dry without conditioners and leave in conditoners
I get my one two weeks time. they will teach Me how to hook it up and I can take the machine home with me then I need to return it the next day. I do not need to sleep at a hospital or clinic
I’ve heard u can’t. Which would make this 10x worse than it already seems. I also know my room definitely won’t look anything like that. I’m expecting my room to look exactly like a prison cell.
I have a question 🙋♀️ If I’m already on sleep medicine that I normally take every night before bed , do I take it with me or leave it at home and don’t take it because of the test ? Like is it okay to take any sleep medicine?
Well they want an accurate reading of what happens every night when you are at home, so they want you to take the meds that you usually take, and have the same routine that you usually do :)
I must have a fan or sound machine. Ocean waves, rainfall, etc. Need the background noise. Night lights are ok if they help you, yes? At my sleep study, I turned on the bathroom light and closed bathroom door most of the way.
I was told by both my dad who was a doctor and by my psychiatrist that they would provide sleeping pills. It's not true they don't even provide pain medication
@@nicolebarnett8702 it's a simple question... I understand your logic and it may seem obvious, but I'm getting my sleep study this week, and they allow that. Not all do.
Yes, I was told "no sleep, no study," so if you don't take your med, don't sleep and just lie there, the technician will have nothing to report to the doctor.
Going next week, I don’t know if I can sleep, where can I buy sleeping pills as I know from Google sleep study don't dispense medicine. I don’t know how will I able to sleep with the wires as my shoulders will raise up to my chin as my neck is short. I'm a side sleeper and I don’t know if I will feel comfortable with all the wires and I'm introverted with social anxiety I don’t know how to tell them I need to go to the toilet or even leave the bed to take something I want to grab from my bag, or drink water.
