One year ago today, July 19th, 2019 I shaved my fucking head. It is now July 19th, 2020 and my buzzcut is now a mullet. I have zero regrets about shaving my head but I will say, I can't wait for my mullet days to be over lol!! However, I think this has been an experience worth having nonetheless.

gotchya! just wanted to clarify :)) My advice is always 1. If you wanna try it do it! You'll never know truly how you'll feel about something unless you try and, in this case, since it's hair you can just grow it out or cut it off if you don't like it.
2. If you do full-send it, there's a couple approaches you can take depending on what is more important to you. If you care mainly about how good it looks, I'd recommend getting haircuts periodically to not only trim things out but help shape it around your face and clean up the look! And since you mentioned thinking your head was too small for long hair, I think this might be the best approach for you! Because for me, I cared more about growing out the hair as fast as I could since I missed longer hair so I just dealt with the awkwardness of letting it lay however tf it wanted 😅

So I had my hair dyed most of my 15 years n almost 3 months ago me and my cousin shaved our heads, my hair was extremely damaged and flat n straight, but I have really curly coily hair which is black, I'm very exited to watch it come back💕

I shaved my head in the middle of quarantine and I regret it. I mean I knew I wouldn't like it but I did it anyways idk why😭 I wish I can walk out the house and have the confidence you have. Omg this is the weirdest coincidence. My birthday is July 19th, but I shaved my head but on July 8th 2019. I've been growing it out for a 1 year and 5 months now without any haircuts, not even a trim. It's freaking awesome. I've learned proper hair care because of it. A two layered wide toothed detangler comb is my new best friend, and I keep it with my beard comb.
Thats so dope! How long is your hair now? I definitely agree, I've learn a lot about how to take care more properly my hair through this experience!
@@gelexaida My hair is at 9 inches now! I've been thinking about a trim, but not before 2 years of growth. I used to have a undercut that I let grow out. It was 2.5 years of growth on top(1.25ft.), and 1.5 years growth on the sides and back(9in.).

I buzzed mine almost 10 months (right around Valentine’s Day; not for anything related to the day, my hair was just really messed up and I decided to do a total reset) and mine is right about mullet-ish and longer in the back than I’d like, but I’m thinking of getting it trimmed into a layered pixie-type haircut. (My hair is super thick and wavy and it just seems to be at its best when it’s short and allowed to be a little wild and free and show off its natural texture.) My profile pic was taken almost a month ago. Anyways, you look like you’ve gotten great progress on growing yours out for a year.
In 2 days it'll be 6 months since I shaved my head. It's been super cool to watch it grow and I'm super excited to see where it'll be in a year!

I have shaved my head twice this being the second time the first time I cut it by nine months it was about as long as yours at a year growth (except by that time I had a mullet) got tired of it than shaved it again in April and boy do I regret

Trust me I won't! At the rate it's growing, I think within the next 6 months when most of the hair in the middle of my mullet is long enough to hit my shoulders! Then I just want to even out the cut and I'll let it grow out some more :))

I have exactly cut my hair one year ago in November 2019 and my school got closed in March so I thought I’m gonna grow my hair until the school reopens and it’s been 1 year exactly now since I have started growing my hair! It’s exactly like your hair right now

I have black hair color (im Hispanic) i bleached it 5 times in 1 week not knowing the consequences. Well 80% of all my hair started breaking off. It was left damaged beyond repair! I went from middle back hair length to buzz cut and razored off! It's now been 8 months and everyday i look at my hair and it deppresses me. I know it'll eventually grow but it's felt so long that it's been short

I really did want to make one of these videos for my own pleasure so I buzzed my hair off about 4months ago i started my photos but stopped a few weeks with having a buzzed hair because of the bullying that went around no i cant make a video anymore🥺
:(( awhhh omg okay first of all, fuck anyone who bullied you! Please don't let them get to you! I know that's easier said than done (trust me I really do understand) but they're not worth your care. And it's probably harder to not care more than ever right now just because of how vulnerable you may feel but I promise you you look way better than you feel!!! Please please please remember how amazing you are and beautiful. I had a similar problem around 4 months as well but instead of other people making me not want to take pictures, I bullied myself into feeling insecure and never wanting to take selfies. But looking back, I had nothing to be insecure about! So don't let any insecurities stop you if this is something you wanted to try ❤️
Second, If it's only been four months you still have time to take more pictures as your hair continues to grow to make one of these videos if you want! Idk when you stopped taking them but it's okay if there's some gaps :)) It's still fun to edit anyways I promise! I had a similar issue. I stopped talking pictures everyday like my initial plan was and by the end I mostly only had videos rather than pictures! But I still am happy with the end product I came up with either way :) And I bet you will enjoy it too! It's just really neat for your own self going through and seeing the growth!

I cut my hair in Basic Training guy-short because it was so hot outside and easier to maintain and didn't get in the way, and I cut it again when I got back home in mid August. But I want to definitely grow it out (I've had my hair either boy short or in a bob cut for about 4 years) but I have to go to AIT (think of college for the military) this next summer and I do *not* want to cut my hair AT ALL again. It's a problem. I want to grow out my hair but then I get the urge to just cut it all off and I just-

hey!! Personally, the first year i didn't touch it at all and just let it grow into the mullet you see at the end of this video! I did end up cutting it, yes, for the first time about two months after and posted a video of those results as well if you want a reference :)) Don't worry, you'll look great! I had to shave mine off cuz of damage as well and tbh the first 6 months was the hardest for me but i just recently hit my year and a half anniversary since shaving it and you'd never guess i had it buzzed not too long ago! The first year of hair growth can feel super long and exhausting but once it goes by you realized how quickly your hair actually grows back and its really neat!

I personally didn't use anything but I believe there are some available for people who want faster hair growth however, Idk if they actually work or not

Hi! I believe I just used Tresemme ? or whatever that brand is haha. I honestly didn't use anything special or do anything differently in attempts to make it grow faster. Currently, I'm testing out new shampoos and conditioners in attempts to find one that works better for my hair type tho! :)
EDIT: I also wanted to switch brands after seeing the lawsuit/ issue with their ingredients
