    Love how you creatively spun it: Peter's PR... NICE! helps one remember it AND get in a single word. Excellent

    Loved the comments on ALL/RABBIM/MANY and the negative hapax usage of the verb by According to Mark by Peter coupled with Zntew as precursor to what grows up to more overt "send her away she calls out after us" and other times when folks draw what THEY see as negative attention. . . Ultimately Jesus setting His face like flint to Jerusalem. Jesus already fixed in His battle "exceedingly early" :) according to Mark!
    Love it Brother Chad.

    Thanks Chad, that was a real eye opener. I’m very interested in the “Jesus was indignant” passage later on. Is that something you plan to cover?

      It is a fascinating passage! I will be covering it if it comes up in the Sunday readings.

    Thanks Chad, really helpful insights, a blessing. I'm struck by the mundane nature of the healing. It's so matter of fact. I've always taken this as Jesus, again, taking the emphasis away from deeds of power (which so distract my human nature) - for the sake of his focus on the cross. You mention the 'it seemed' aspect of the Hellenistic contemporary literature; that's new to me. Does this mean that the contrast (and point Mark is making) is also in that Jesus actually did heal, actually did cast out evil spirits, i.e his dunamis is authentic so pay attention folks; but also know that it is yet to be made perfect in the weakness of his submission to death on a cross? (Hope that makes sense!)

      Yes, that’s precisely the difference the Hellenistic beliefs and those of Jesus. Thanks for watching!

    Chad,
    Listened to Part 1 of the book of Jasher which his more details then Genesis. Your thoughts?

      @chadbird1517  3 года назад +1

      The Bible mentions a book of Jasher, but its contents were lost aeons ago. There are several writings called "The Book of Jasher" today, but all of them were written millennia after the events in Genesis, so of zero historical value. All they have in common with the book of this name mentioned in the Old Testament is the title.
