Vic Morrow wasn't a goody 2 shoes type role model in my opinion .
He looked like he would of fit in a James Cagney , or Humphrey Bogart Dead End Kids Movie from the Lower East Side Of Manhatten type movie , or with Sylvester Stalone , and Henry Winkler in "The Lords Of Flatbush " type movie.

As a youngster, I never missed an episode of Combat, 12 O'clock High, or Rat Patrol. My grandfather was a WW I veteran at 16 years of age. My step dad was a WW II vet. My uncle a Vietnam vet. I cannot begin to realize the horrors of war that they experienced. I appreciate the sacrifices of all our vets very very much. Now at 66 years of age, I can no longer watch these programs that portray the horror and futility of war. War is the ultimate pinnacle of mankind's failure at humanity. History has largely been ignored by the masses and we are doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over again for generations yet to come. The peoples of this world have learned nothing.

By 1967 , alot of these ww2 programs , like , Rat Patrol , Hogans Heroes , Gallant Men , 12 O'Clock High , Mc Hales Navy , Gomer pyle , and Combat itself were taken off the air partly due to the anti-war sentiment brought on by the War in Vietnam(South Vietnam that is )!

Back in '84, This show was followed by Wild Wild West and preceded by The Adams Family and The Munsters. All in Spanish. Man, what a childhood. You can just imagine the guys trying to get as far away as possible while the Germans are coming after them on foot and in their vehicles.
There are so many of these episodes you just hate to see end because they get you so deeply interested that you can almost envision yourself right there with them, and you are trying to think your way out of the problems they face!
