Johns Last Trip

On Saturday the 19th of August, I was honoured to be invited to come and film the funeral of well known South Canterbury steam man John Kyle. Part of the funeral was John being taken on his last trip behind both of his engines. Starting with a journey behind his McLaren, driven by Thomas and Victoria Kyle, from the farm to Kyle Park were the ceremony was held. Following this was a journey behind his Burrell, Driven by Thomas Kyle and Dowell McLeod, from Kyle park, through the streets of Timaru en route to the cemetery. With permission from the family, here are the clips of the engines on the day.
