Oh my god they are all beautiful. On the ground and in the pot. my god you have a green thumb. Its a saying you probably know whay it means.....a person who plants a plant and grows it well. And that is you. Thank you Liz...
Thankyou for sharing this info, i have Purple Delight and you have helped me alot knowing it is hardy and will go well in the garden. She's now on my list of ones I'll place in my tapestry. Superbum is on my wishlist, now mrs richards too! So beautiful!
Glad to see a side by side comparison between Mrs. Richards and Purple Delight. Whenever I research them, they are two different plants but whenever I look to buy them, they're listed as one. Now I know what to look for. Thank you!
That was very handy Liz, I’m pretty sure I have a couple of small potted purple delight and I’m in the central west NSW with frosts. So I’m going to plant one out and see how it goes as I know your in a very cold and frosty area yourself and you have success. Cheers Liz and thanks 🙏
Thanks for the vid Liz. I always love your uploads, but they are especially appreciated during lockdowns (VIC). I truely enjoy seeing you post videos on succulents I already have, it means I dont have to go out and buy them 😂. Purple Delight are such a good "set n' forget" succulent - so hardy and great results with propagating. 💚💚💚
Thanks Liz for sharing. I will put my purple delight in the garden maybe this coming spring. Always like to know what succulents would be best for the garden. 💕❤😘
I just love all succulents in this color! I have a quick kinda cute Loony Toon meely bug story for you. So I bought a giant black prince INFESTED with merely bug. I have plenty of room to quaranteen and with your tips I felt I could save this pathetic guy. I quarenteened for 2 weeks and lucky for me,the Floridian spiders feasted on them! When I next looked at it there were less than 15 females so I used the alcohol treatment then washed him really good,he is a good 10 inches wide by the way. A few hours of dry time later I had my magnifying glass out and I was making sure I had got them all and I had! I was about to set him down when a perky male landed right in my sights. I followed him and it looked like he was looking for his ladies! He ran on the edge on top of the leaf then underneath. I lost him a few times but sure enough he would pop back up frantically searching for them. It was kinda of funny ! But that didn't stop me from SQUASHING him! Thank you so much for all your knowledge! I feel like I have a friend in Australia!
Hi Liz, can u tell me what's the name of the green jelly beans like succie on 6min40sec of this video? Can u make a video on how to take care of that plant?TIA
Awesome 😎 it's like you read my mind I was wondering about my graptoveria crystal and wanted to ask you some questions. Now you have answered me in this video. I was thinking I might if had a Superbum. They still look similar to me tho ..💕🌸 thanks so much for sharing your videos 😊
I'm very happy I did fallow your recommendation of this purple delight tita lizk❤ I have 3 big pots 2 from Korea and 1 from China. I'm planning to put them in my landscape area. I love there big Rosette's❤❤❤
Very beautiful! I've missed you and I don't know what I'm going to do when you guys go on your winter trip., ❤️ I think I'll be okay though. You've taught me well ☺️😉
My Purple Delights were planted in the garden, but most the leaves fell off during the heat of the warmer months (80+) and have gotten less purple and more tan colored. They do propagate well, but I find that they're not that hardy and we live in California.
Absolutely beautiful plants. So is it the cold or heat that stresses them to get better color? I would be growing in pots on a balcony where I live in the Southern US and really want the purple colors as much as I can get. Thank you for the comparison between varieties, that's what I needed to know.
Different succulents genus and species color in different season and condition/where they are placed in the garden. Soil and fertilizer also has a lot to do with the coloring. The pot size & type is also another factor. Put this all together with the right plant and you'll get them to color up and also grow at the same time.
I have Mrs Richards or Gypsy as sold by the seller and thanks for the video for mentioning that Gypsy grows in clusters while the Purple Delight tends to grow long stems.. My Gypsy looks like PD in color so i'm confused..I'm glad to know that i remembered your channel po.. Thanks much!.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK A pleasure.. Pero tita, same lang ba talaga ang gypsy sa mrs Richards or not?. Do you know if magkaiba sila kasi sabi ni Mich eh may Mrs Richards sia and Gypsy..i'm confused and curious at the same time..
@@backyardhouseplant Same plant lang po. Like many succulents, the look will depend on how and where they are grown. Kaya nakakalito a lot of times. Also sa ibang bansa iba-iba and pangalan, kahit na the same plant.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK napa-research ulit po ako sa google and they look the same nga po.. depende lang sa climate and location.. Thanks po.. Dapat pala online archive din po ng plants na parang Britannica or Wikipedia na regulated and curated ng mga plant experts..
Hi Liz my purple delight is dropping leaves. I have heaps of babies now but why would my original plant be doing this?? Should I try just snap off the last flower (head) and plant her again before it totally dies??
You can try doing that since you won't lose anything if you do since you already have so many babies. These plants can't live forever as they do have a certain lifespan.
Hi Liz! I'm so glad I found your videos! I am thinking of purchasing Purple Delight and MAY even try to plant some outside. What zone do you live in? I'm in zone 7b and worried it may get too cold for them. Is there a specific way to acclimate them for the cold? Thanks for all you do 💜
The lowest temperature my purple delights have experienced is -11°C/12°F. Maybe it can handle a zone 8. Any colder and you might need to either cover them or bring them inside to winter over. Best way to acclimatize them is to bring them outdoors in spring to grow and harden, so they can hopefully survive your winter.
The only insecticide I use is Ecopest Oil by multicrop and Methylated spirits when there's insects present. But the best insecticide in my opinion is a good soil mix that promotes good bacteria and good insect growth.
Dormancy depends on the temperature or the season. Some succulents go dormant when it's hot and others go dormant when it's cold. If you keep them indoors where you can control the temperature, some succulents will not go dormant at all.
@@GrowingSucculentswithLizK I just love love your videos. I just wish I were closer to you so I could find some of the items you use. Thanks for your encouragement and entertainment on succulents

When do v propagate aeoniums isit during winter
Tks
Yes I believe so, that is their growing season ie in Winter
Autumn through Spring is ideal but I take cuttings all year round even in summer if I need to.
Hi. What kind of crassula is in that pot in the back? Its so plump!! Luv it!!
What timestamp please.
Its in the video when you're talking about Mrs Richard's succulent
It looks like a budda temple crassula
It looks like a Sedum Allantoides

Yes you can.

If you keep all your succulents in your house do they go dormant? I can’t seem to get an answer from anyone
