@Tulip Is this for real? Because if so then that's really cool. My native language is Icelandic Sign Language.
IDK when she will get her 3D model. But my anxiety tells me she will get it after 5th Gen and EN because of her low number.

I stupidly forgot my account password. I would love any help you can give me.
"My bartender son is a winner and he is older than me!"
Good Light Novel title
ill buy that.
Write that down now!!!
I'd read that~
My winning son became a bartender in another world.

Once you hit 27 under hololive agency you instantly get upgraded to 40 yr old status. Just like Marine.
Then it loops back to 17 second season a year after

> self taught english and japanese at the same time, learning german and korean just because
_this girl possesses power incomprehensible to us mere mortals_
well, she's an alien isn't she?
I mean she propably learned a bit english in school or atleast the fundamentals and then learned the rest through subtitles.
Propably the same for japanese. She propably learned the fundamentals of japanese grammar through the internet and then all the vocab or most of the vocab anime.
(Just wanted to clarify because there are people who want to argue that you can learn japanese just by watching anime and sorry but that's not how it works. You can expand your knowledge through anime but can't build fundamental knowledge like grammar through anime.)
Still impressiv tho I myself speak 5 languages but it isn't even as impressiv as Iofi. (2 of these languages I only speak somewhat not nearly as good as Iofi with her worst language.) I learned most of them in school. I can't even imagine how hard it was learning so many languages by yourself
@@Duck-re3tm I think the most impressive part of Iofi's japanese is despite learn it by herself 「独学」she actually managed to get N2 certificate in japanese language proficiency test (JLPT has N1-N5 certificates with N1 being the highest) which make her as fluent as native speaker, also one thing that doesn't get enough credit is her communication ability she's able to converse easily with all kind of people from different backgrounds and nationalities, which is one of the reason she's getting along so well with subaru (they're the same kind in that regards).
@@chrom4ful wait but how did she pass n2 when can't read kanji that well?
Idk how the japanese proficiency test are structured and what is required but isn't kanji something fundamental.
No one is expecting you to learn 10000 kanji like a native japanese person but atleast 2000.
Edit:
Ok wait it sounds like I am just critizising her and that I am not impressed by her abilitys. I think that she is impressiv and that she definitly has a talent for languages. I was just curious how she got through n2 without being able to read and write kanji that well.
(Maybe she is just downplaying how good she is at kanji reading idk)
@@Duck-re3tm I won't blame you to misinterpreted what she said, as much as I appreciate and love the vtuber translators from time to time there's always something I'd do differently.
This is the direct quote of what Iofi said 『読むのはけっこうできるんですけど、書くのはひらがなとカタカナしか書けるんです。』the direct translation would be something like this: "I can read (kanji) just fine, but for writing I can only write hiragana and katakana", another thing to consider is she's playing japanese exclusive gacha games and regularly texting back and forth with Subaru even exchanging banters and joke with her, which implies degree of nuance and cultural understanding of the language.
Long story short she read kanji pretty damn well
If you don't know btw JLPT is testing reading comprehension, listening skills, and grammatical knowledge, it doesn't test your writing and speaking skill. N1 and N2 put even more emphasis on vocabulary knowledge (including kanji) and nuances through reading comprehension and grammatical structure, another trivia is to pass N1 you required to know at least 2000 kanji with each character at least has 2 way of reading.
Iofi is capable of talking to all the Hololive JP girls in japanese, Kiara in german, Ina in korean, and all the EN girls in english. OP please nerf.
GewoonLeon for a while there the sun never set on the British empire, which makes being a pure anglophone pretty easy

@@-Dovahkiin "Major popular" in a sense of how influential it is in modern pop culture, movie, game, song with language such as Japanese and Korean. Not by the number of speaker, if that's the case then Indonesian/Malay is also up there by sheer number but it's not "influential". Of course there are other factor and variables that play a role here (including number of speaker).
And I'm here, thinking being fluent in 3 languages is something you could impress people with...
We truly were not created to compete with cute anime girls, ok...?
A cute alien walks into a bar and to converse with a drunken barkeep. Nice
Drunk, but also usually the only sane person in the room.
Lol is Roberu usually drunk? Bartenders aren't supposed to drink at work unless it's a special occasion

The one responsible for Roberu's "Are you winning son" is actually hololive fans in 4chan /jp/ board.
One user jokingly comments "Are you winning son?", knowing fully that Roberu will respond with a thunderous YEAH! every time an English comment show up in his stream. Then it snowballs from there and people in 4chan love him as /ourson/
"/ourson/" LMAO reminds me of Ishigami from Kaguya-sama being labeled as /ourguy/ from 4chan as well. Lovely.

Why cant holostars collab with hololive jp?

I think what she meant by "Obisa" is "O Bisa" or "Oh Bisa"
which are came from two words, "Oh" and "bisa"
the word "Oh" is used by Lofi because she's kinda surprised to be able to wink her right eyes

For Roberu to be so impressed with the fact that Iofi learned two languages, English and Japanese at the same time while watching anime kinda speaks lol
For most people who have another language as their main, having English sub sometimes is just the way to go. English language is usually already their second/third language that they learned since they were kids. At least, that's how it is in my country. It is a very common occurence to see a person watching an anime with English subtitle when their main language isn't English here.
It’s not the cute girls that made me want to learn Japanese to understand the streams, it’s this boy right here. This winning son is the one that fills my heart with the desire to learn and understand him.
I swear this is basically universal for anyone that finds Holostars with a mind too open to go "ew, male vtuber".
so, i'm an indonesian, i usually watched anime just like iofi, i prefer english subs when i watch anime, but i definitely haven't learned japanese as well as her, she definitely is on a different level, or just dedicating herself to learn japanese at the time she was learning it

It is good to learn one language through the other. In order not to lose my sense on English, I translate English words to Japanese and vice versa, hence learning new words from both languages.

Holo ID flexing power level
For context, as to why hiragana and katakana are apparently enough is because when you're typing on keyboard, the hiragana would usually change to the appropriate kanji when typing a sentence. If not, there's usually a drop-down list where you can choose the appropriate kanji.
