Ryan Day is an absolute choke artist and big game loser. He’s so so scared to do anything wrong he can’t make an in game decision or try anything special.
Message to Ryan Day from a die hard Michigan fan. Sincere message. Don't quit dude, you are getting better. Keep doing what you are doing cause you are a great recruiter and your team is getting better. You learn each year and you go back into the laboratory because they will not find anyone better than you.
Breaking news: OSU is contemplating dismantling its Football team in favor of a Capture The Flag team, as they've really shown an aptitude for the game.
the only explanation is because Ryan Day has thin skin. He is called soft, he tries over and over to prove he is not (example, yelling about Lou Holtz after the ND win). He was willing to tank his team's season because he wanted to prove his team could run the ball. Period.
@Jabbarjohnson The problem with that rationale is we knew we would have a struggle season and might not beat the Buckeyes. But we beat you on our way to the Dukes Mayo bowl. Win, win.
Day must be cut loose as Head Coach if he does not redeem himself by winning the Natty in the playoffs. He has shown his incompetence and an inability to learn from his mistakes. He's too busy pretending to be tough instead of maximizing his player's potential. Enough is enough.
his playoff record is 1-3. yet youre saying there's a chance he's going to win 4 games in a row against top 10 teams. lol. Someone on twitter said it best. OSU has 3 main goals - beat michigan, win the big ten, win the natty. in the last 4 years Day has accomplished exactly 0 of those goals. The only way this team wins a playoff game is if Ryan Day is not the head coach.
Yea how many times has the OHIO OL been called for holding in the last 4 years. Meanwhile in those 4 years UM has had an amazing DLI think I maybe remember 1 holding call.
And when OSu throws a INT it's because of a poor throw or bad decision, when Michigan throws a INT it's because they forced it 😂😂😂 I heard that one a few times already from these Bucknuts
The irony that Kyle McCord failed to have a game-winning driving against Michigan and Will Howard just did the same thing. Buckeye nation, we have to hold this L.
Michigan had 62 yards passing today and still won this game. That is hilarious!! Ohio State lost because the Michigan DL dominated the trenches. Face it, the Michigan players are just tougher than the Ohio State players. It’s been this way for four (4) years in a row.

If they throw the ball the whole second half and don't go for field goals when their kicker just puked all over himself, they win the game going away. end of story.
It is so obvious that Ryan Day is scared silly of Michigan. Day is so obsessed with proving that his team isn't "soft", he kept trying to run the ball down the middle, playing to the one area Michigan is strong, instead of throwing outside the numbers. And Michigan, which is in a rebuild, and played without their number one defensive player (Will Johnson) and their best offensive weapon (Loveland) and lost their great back (Edwards) early in the game. 20 point favorites. @ To think of just how LITTLE we had to do on offense to win this game. Even the shoe was in shock at what they were seeing. Chip Kelly (i.e. Ryan Day) single-handedly took our own crowd out of the game. I’ve never seen anything like that.
@@JefferyRebarchek I’ve said that before-the Missouri game last year, for instance-Day just quit on that team. And now we’re getting even worse coaching. I don’t think Day can get the monkey off his back
What's great is the Buckeye fans line that "We would've annihilated Michigan in 2020" is no longer valid. If THIS Michigan team could beat OSU, no way that 2020 team coached by Day wins.
I %100 about worrying about Days health. All off season it has been notable he has been stressed out. I really think he should resign for his health. 1 last thing. Michigans offense is really bad at literally one position. (QB) They were missing both their leading receiver and tightened that were in the possible All-american list when the season started. but their defense is stout. Saying they shouldn't be in D1 is an exaggeration and to me if I was in the playoff committee would think twice about putting you in the playoff if that is true. That's just angry we lost garbage. So what does that say about OSU?
Michigan is not a terrible team. They just have a terrible passing offense with poor QB play and a bad receiving corps. They have at 3-4 first rounders in 2025 draft, along with several others who will be drafted.
I played college basketball with a great coach for 3 years in went on to coach Florida we got a new coach and had a terrible year the next year with pretty much the same players coaching makes a difference in college athletetics
I think Day started calling plays again. They were doing the look back, stretch to the boundary, not to mention running right at the strength of their defense. We never went downfield. I don't even think they tried to throw to JJ in the second half. Maybe it was Kelly? Maybe Day was overruling his calls? I don't know. What I do know is it sucked. We can't even outscore a team that has 13? Im always slow to the 'fire the coach' talk, but He's had 6 seasons. He's not growing into the job, he's going the other way. Maybe we are too hard on coaches, but whatever it is, I don't trust Day to lead this team in the big games.
When Ohio State has the top 3 athletic budget, #1 NIL budget, top 5 recruiting class for last 10 years and top facilities / trainers to lose to a 6-5 Michigan team at home is awful.
In the offseason I stated if Day ever loses a game because of missed FGs then Day needs to be fired. Day had an opportunity to get the Lou Groza Award Winning Kicker out of the portal, from OSU's backyard, from Miami of OH. Instead Day chose to settle for mediocrity because he chose to stick with Fielding, who struggles kicking 30 yarders, while the best Kicker, from last season, ended up transferring to Bama. Obviously Day only cares about gifting NIL money to his 5 Star WRs and QBs, instead of the important roll players and the trenches required to win games.
Really hard to think of myself in the shoes of a Buckeyes fan, but if you guys want to turn this around quickly you've got to make a huge offer to Urban Meyer. He's a jerk and nobody likes him, but he won games for you. I'd go to him first before Vrabel.
@cbockiii2514 Said rhe same thing right after the game. You could tell at half time Urban still has the fire! It must hurt him to see his once team lose lkke that.
Bottom Line: Barring rallying troops to win a Natty, time to move on - Day & Kelly should go back to New Hampshire because they are not cut out for “THE” standard of ‘Our Honor Defend’ - gotta move on
You keep calling this Michigan team "awful"... down year sure... but awful? We didn't have Loveland or Johnson (both first round picks) and STILL beat you. So def not our best... but what does that make YOU😂😂😂
I had the same thought, paid to be a buckeye so the big game does not mean the same as it did to Michigan, heart was the difference in this game. Well that and Day sux lol
Just curious, did Conner Stallions allow UM to physically beat up the Buckeyes on both sides of the ball for the last 4 years? Didn’t know it worked that way.
Somebody needs to check Chip kelly's bank accounts and see if he was paid off. That is seriously the only thing that might explain how bad this was. When my ole lady can call what play is coming you know something is completely wrong.
Would love to know who devised the offensive game plan. And what made them stick to it except when they had to pass at end of 1st half. The pitch option that killed Penn State was ran 1 time for a nice gain. Never seen again. They could of helped the line with scheme but they exposed their weaknesses, continually

Howard’s performance was as predictable as the sun rising. *What I didn’t see coming, at least to this degree….was hands-down, the worst playing-calling I’ve seen in at LEAST 20yrs, that includes the past 4yrs.*
agreed. absolutely terrible game plan terrible play calling on offense lost this game
@ To think of just how LITTLE we had to do on offense to win this game. Even the shoe was in shock at what they were seeing. Chip Kelly (i.e. Ryan Day) single-handedly took our own crowd out of the game. I’ve never seen anything like that.
I said that earlier 40 years of watching and playing I have never seen such a horribly called game
@@JefferyRebarchek
I’ve said that before-the Missouri game last year, for instance-Day just quit on that team.
And now we’re getting even worse coaching.
I don’t think Day can get the monkey off his back
@@mybrotherkeeper1484 he looked like a broken man after the game
What's great is the Buckeye fans line that "We would've annihilated Michigan in 2020" is no longer valid. If THIS Michigan team could beat OSU, no way that 2020 team coached by Day wins.
Justin Fields and bunch of Urban dawgs
Fire Ryan Day! He has had ample time to prove himself, and has failed miserably, especially today
Why are we even suprised. Day after the game said he never thought this would happen isn’t that the problem with Day.
You guys keep saying this is a terrible Michigan team but we have four first round picks on the roster
Possibly but two of those players weren’t even playing in the game.
Will Howard was fine he was checked out by THE sideline medical crew. Don’t make excuses it’s soft as fuuuuuck
When Ohio State has the top 3 athletic budget, #1 NIL budget, top 5 recruiting class for last 10 years and top facilities / trainers to lose to a 6-5 Michigan team at home is awful.
True, but with michigan being the 3rd biggest public school, we got NIL coming, beware
Thee, world infamous Ohio State Buckeyes😂😂😂 Go BLUE 💙💙💙
Bottom Line: Barring rallying troops to win a Natty, time to move on - Day & Kelly should go back to New Hampshire because they are not cut out for “THE” standard of ‘Our Honor Defend’ - gotta move on
Tears like fine wine.
You keep calling this Michigan team "awful"... down year sure... but awful? We didn't have Loveland or Johnson (both first round picks) and STILL beat you. So def not our best... but what does that make YOU😂😂😂
If Ryan Day stays the rest of the nation will keep laughing at Ohio State. Nothing‘s gonna change with this guy firing now before the playoffs.
Well you bought a bunch of mercenaries who only care about their next check not beating Michigan. That hit was to the back
I had the same thought, paid to be a buckeye so the big game does not mean the same as it did to Michigan, heart was the difference in this game. Well that and Day sux lol
110% on Ryan Day
Bax is the only real guy I seen come out in say Day must go. All these other media members are just trying to keep there media passes.
Thank you Steve Hellwagon!
18:35 - hilarious analysis, thanks. needs to be clipped and made into a short, ending with "...and 2 interceptions. and they won the game."
This was a 1990s choke
It's right there with the 1969 game.
Would love to know who devised the offensive game plan. And what made them stick to it except when they had to pass at end of 1st half. The pitch option that killed Penn State was ran 1 time for a nice gain. Never seen again. They could of helped the line with scheme but they exposed their weaknesses, continually
GET RID OF RYAN DAY, CHIP KELLY, WILL HOWARD, AND JAYDEN FIELDING ASAP!!!!!!!!!
Agreed it’s a Day thing. Really good guy just can’t get it done
