    As a TSLA shareholder, this Model 3 Plus (Highland) is what I have been wanting to see. When you consider Tesla tech, it has been great, but the refinements was a weak spot. If Model Y gets this kind of an upgrade next year, it will likely take the best selling vehicle for 2024, which would mean back-to-back best selling vehicle in the world for the year. If Tesla has not raised the manufacturing cost, maybe reduced the cost, raised the quality, and did a small price hike, it is very impressive. They are addressing their biggest weaknesses, which has to give competitors the chills. Reasons not to buy a Tesla keep falling. Competitors said they were going to catch up to Tesla's tech, but they are not there, but Tesla is catching up on refinement, interior, paint, etc.

    Thank goodness Tesla finally did something about the front end of the Model 3. It looked like Daffy Duck after Elmer Fudd blew his bill off with his 12 gauge shotgun. The new front end is a huge step in the right direction. So this is a Shanghai build. It will be interesting to see how the US builds look in the panel gap department, although newer builds have been looking much better than the first year of Model 3 production. Thanks for giving the new Tesla a good looking over!

    LFP BYD blade battery? Euro-spec that felt stuff on the rear I suspect will wear out quickly over time as most cars have a hard protective cover at that part of the trunk/boot. You'll have to do the same for US build spec and see difference. No stalks though and that could hurt their sales numbers with people going for the competition instead. So the EU will need to change the rules so it's not just making a noise but a certain dB level is required. Well RHD markets you can't buy an S or X anymore only 3 & Y.

    This may be a silly question but does it have dual zone climate in the front? I only saw one climate setting when you both sat down, but that may be a setting change. And I assume it’s just one zone in the back? 21:44

    • @ProXcaliber
      @ProXcaliber Год назад +2

      It is dual zone in the front and single zone in the back. There is a “sync” setting in the options that when turned on it makes the front a single zone and as such only gives one option for temperature and fans. But, when you turn off the “sync” setting, it makes it dual zone with adjustable temperature and fan speed for each front seat.

    Thank you for this great video! I was wondering if you, or someone else, can give some details on the material used in the centerpiece of the door panel. It seems that they use a different material in RWD then on the LR. Respectively a cloth like material (so it seems) and the Alcantara like material that we already know. In the white interior it seems to be covered in the same vegan material that is used for the seats. Would love to hear more on this, differences and quality wise.

    This car is built in China. Most people in the US are probably not aware that the build quality of the pre Highland model 3s built in China since 2020 has always been better than the US built model 3s. So it's hard to know if the comparison in build quality in this video is between pre and post Highland model 3s or between US and China built model 3s.

    I love some of these comments “wow same coloured bumpers, wow no gaps, wow no water will get in the brake lights, wow no creaks” finally Tesla has caught up with the most basic of quality that every other brand has had for years. Elon is a lucky man. Visually the car is definitely an improvement on the old.

    • @ProXcaliber
      @ProXcaliber Год назад +1

      To be fair, it is a completely different manufacturing and assembly process than other car brands, as well as the fact that a lot of those other brands have had a 100-year head start.

    • @stinger15au

      You know the toyota 86 had notorious water ingress problems in their rear tail lights right.
      Manufacturing issues happen to ALL brand on ALL cars from time to time. It just plain ignorant to think they don't.
      My Audi RS3 had one TERRIBLE panel gap that was so obvious and bad, it got replaced under warranty, far worse than any tesla gap. I'm amazed it got let out of the factory but the reality is, cars are manufactured products with thousands of parts. Sometimes, some cars will have problems from every brand.

    • @ProXcaliber
      @ProXcaliber Год назад +1

      @@stinger15au Exactly. My current car (2021 Acura RDX) came with paint defects and panel gaps on the doors and the rear tail gate, straight from the factory. I decided to not get them fixed because I couldn't leave the car with them for the amount of time they needed to fix the issues. Needless to say, every car brand has issues. No car is 100% spotless from the factory. Even some of the most expensive cars in the world come with defects sometimes. If you want more insight into this, look no further than car detailing channels, where they often point out defects on brand-new cars that have less than 10 or 20 miles on them.

    They did the right thing going to one-piece design taillights, you cant or it is tough to miss-align those, especially with no chrome elements. Mercedes can't get it right, I saw an Audi RSQ the other day, and it was a terrible fitment. One piece design can be a bit boring but at least it is aligned perfectly.
