      hey so how did your 5 year old do with the Level b, my daughter turns 5 in 3 weeks, and I have been looking at A BUT she is very advanced for her age, she is already reading, and doing simple addition and substraction, I know I can do tweaking of the packages but I was wondering if we should skip A and go to B

    Perfect timing for me to see this. I'm on the border about homeschooling my almost 5yr old son. Let's just say it is the hardest job in the entire world being a homeschool/SAHM. I was drowning in information on curriculum. Definitely looking into this.

    I taught adults the science of radiology and have never taught kids but wow that system looks awesome! It practically creates the curriculum for you. And I like that it has a corresponding computer component as well as room to adjust the courses and assignments! The Moore kids are going to have a lot of fun this school year! 🧑‍🎓👨‍🎓👩‍🎓💕

    I watched this video. My questions are as follows.1 Do you do the ordering curriculum and the online? 2. If you do the online do you really need a cover school? We have usually done Sonlight (which reminds me a lot of this) and a cover church school which was rather expensive. This year we are still doing the cover school but are doing spectrum because it's less expensive. I am the nana (teacher) and his mother works out of the home. I was trying to find prices for 6th grade but am still searching their website

      Hi Karinna, that's a very good question! For the girls they do their devotions in the mornings by themselves. It involves reading a chapter from the Bible, any chapter they choose, then in their journal write what they’ve learned and then give me a verbal account of the chapter. I will also give the girls the verse for the week and have them recite it each day.
      I am using "Long Story Short" for all the kids, it's a ten-minute devotional we do at the beginning of our school day. www.christianbook.com/story-short-minute-devotions-your-family/marty-machowski/9781935273813/pd/273813
      The boys also have a memory verse for the week. I like this book to help with verses to pick from: www.christianbook.com/awesome-bible-verses-every-should-mean/rebecca-lutzer/9780736939386/pd/939386?event=ESRCG

    Are you still doing book shark? I am a Christian homeschool mom and I would love to see what you are doing with history and Bible. Sonlight has an old earth view which we do not align with, I'm curious if you supplement with anything for science if you see evolution concepts being taught

    • @TheMooreTheMerrier
      @TheMooreTheMerrier  Год назад +2

      Hi💛 Yes I’m still using Book Shark curriculum. History is throughout the curriculum, so we are in World History ll this year. If something pops up in science we don’t agree with we just skip that section for the day. For Bible we do memory verses and Bible reading in the morning.

    We usually use Abeka, we love that it’s Bible based but this year we are moving to another state so we decided on a slower curriculum for 2 of my kids (mostly Abeka, also using Math U See and Wordly Wise) and still using Abeka for my youngest.
    I love watching your videos on Book Shark and looked into it but the price was kind of steep, I do love all the reading and hands on stuff, wish it was faith based. We are pretty careful what we let the kids watch and read, have you found the books to be good in that aspect?

      Thank you for the question Nathalie!👍 I'm going to give you some links that I hope will help answer your questions: www.bookshark.com/blog/bookshark-multiple-children/
      For the younger kids like Micah and Jeremiah, there is a larger gap between where they are at in learning. BookShark provides three levels of Language Arts in the Level B History. So I can get worksheets that are best suited for Jer and Micah but still keep them learning together in Reading with History B package. Here's a ling for more info on that: www.bookshark.com/about/company-methodology

      With the boys, they are in school till noon!💛 The time varies depending on their mood, so it’s different each day. One thing I find helps when a child is struggling to focus, I let them go play outside or go ride their bike. After a little time away from school, they come back more focused and we get more done with those little brakes.

Someone asked me while ago on Instagram asked me in a comment section why I was looking into the STELLA. I basically said toxic environment,. Abuse neglect, in the school system. PTSD anxiety disorder. That's one of the reasons I basically want to avoid exculisucions from field trips events. I have been labeld crazy lazy speller,. That's why I did back in the spring 🌸 constantly checking spell checking making sure there were no spelling mistakes I was readjusting them yes 👍 I was up late even up till 5-6:00 a.m. At times. Yes 👍 I feel asleep one time. On my desk, this was an essay I was doing it turned out I did a 3-5 page essay. This was for GED test I ll be doing eventually hopefully before Thanksgiving. Untrue. Most homeschoolers are in SEVERAL outside activities and extra curricular so they interact with other children often.
