Best pesto recipe: Big ass bunch of basil, garlic clove, handful of nutritional yeast, small handful of walnuts, zest and juice of a lemon, salt and pepper and hit it in the food processor. Seriously so good. The best pizza base. My all time secret ingredient.
Ohhh I have one I just made for my newest video but maybe I’ll try the walnuts instead. It’s virtually the same but with soaked sunflower seeds.

Just ate at one of the Planta restaurants in Toronto, a yearly pilgrimage, & had the power lunch where we chose the bang bang broccoli (yummy indeed) as one of our appetizers.

We love Santa Monica! Our son, DIL, and granddaughters live there. Spent a few days with them in April and enjoyed Venice Beach. I wanted to ask Crystal about her hat. I love it! Where did she get it?

idk where I saw your video recommending the all-vegan pizza joint in VB, but we tried it today. It was SO good! Even my not-completely vegan hubby loved it.
We’ve been to VB several times and even walked past this place not knowing what it was (they certainly don’t advertise that they are vegan except for “V.A.F.” on their board). After seeing your video about it, I looked forward to trying it if ever we made it to VB again. We were lucky enough to return.
(I had “Eat Your Veggies” w pepperoni and no oil … 😋. Hubby had “Hot Honey (agave) & Pineapple.”)

ps- If you’re ever in VB, again, there’s an all-vegan pop up (PlantX) on Pacific Avenue. They are a mix of convenience store and deli with a nice garden terrace to sit at. There are yoga lessons there, too, once per week (byom).
My new favorite from Trader Joe’s is their Chimichurri sauce! Cilantro is the first ingredient. Yum. Nice to see you in California. Although in my mind, you’re forest people, not beach people. 😂

An interesting glimpse into another world. I am a solitary WFPB eater. I can’t get any fancy ingredients & never eat out because they barely even get the idea of vegetarianism where I live, so I prepare 100% of my food. I need & love your meal ideas. Thank you ❤

Thanks for showing our city in a positive light, there's so many people just showing the negatives or trashing LA and California in general, in the media these days - even people who've never even been here, they think it makes them cool and trendy to trash it. Some people can be so horrible, but I'm grateful that there's positive and healthy people like you guys out in the world, it gives us hope.

I've only been watching your videos for approximately over one year now and I do not know if you have spoken about how you and Crystal met and your relationship and what makes it work but I'm interested in knowing about that if that is a topic you are willing to discuss! Both of you seem so well grounded and seems like you have the same values and principles in common and I'm always so fascinated to see you and Crystal in videos together!
Your relationship with Crystal seems very genuine and not rehearsed!
When I look at other content creators and they have their significant others on it seems as if they are just tolerating each other and trying to make it seem to the audience that they are really in sync with each other.
I personally do not get that impression of you and Crystal and that's what I really am fascinated about!

I visited my daughter in June and ate at Planta Cucina twice but you missed the best ones:) The Ahi Watermelon Nigiri, the Torched and Pressed was AMAZING, the 1000 layer Crispy Potatoes, and the Caesar Cups!!!

Thanks for posting. Your workouts and Buddha bowls are inspirational. Glad to see you are avoiding Teflon in the peeling pans. If you are looking for an opportunity to improve, consider avoiding all the artificial ingredients in Trader Joe's products (and the blue dye in your smoothie bowl). Keep up the great work!
Didn’t even think of blue die being in that smoothie bowl. I know there are edible marine algae’s that are blue so I just assumed they used that. 🤔

Omg! I've been watching you guys for a while and it's so strange seeing you guys here in Southern Cali!! I work in Marina Del Rey and I recognized a lot of where you guys filmed this video. Haha so awesome and glad you guys enjoyed your trip despite this crazy heat wave we've been having lol
Just developed a syndrome of argumentation, especially when seeing someone a bit picky and scientific with diet to life style,properly tonned up- definitely in steriods, regardless knowing about insulin resistence, told you being argumentative; eventhough myself banish oil in all cost(rapseed/veg oil/fat,said veg loosely, hydrogeneted upgraded oil-same as vege oil/palm oil- wink wink,high fructose corn syrup, sugar granulated white/ brown) but still when someone talks about it my syndrome rises to the peak, in all cost saying all that goodness of oil from hormone fuction to brain function and that's not even it but become a promoter of highly refined oil in the highest temperarure, and invite others to use it and even make people guilty about not using it. That's a good syndrome of me for oil and junk food,since I'm using it what's wrong with being a oil preacher, myself is safe though.

Derek, it seems like you do more upper body workout then lower body. Also you never show interval training. We are always short on time so we do a lot more interval workouts. Love 5g3 channel. Thank you.

Are a lot of these dips and sauces/dressings made with canola oil? I'm wondering if you avoid vegetable oils based on the information that they're inflammatory and possibly carcinogenic?

Love the idea of leaving the cubes/rolling dice behind for others to use!! Would be good to leave a note somehow so people know to pass it along and leave it behind for others. Good mindset to have, instead of throwing something away, think if someone else could use it first :) Muscle Beach looks sooooo cool.

Idk about where you live in Canada but i live in so cal and usually in sit down restaurants more expressive places have smaller portions. We do have some restaurants with masive portions though
