Love this video- got heaps of ideas out of too, plus I can relate to the months/seasons, as I’m from Australia.... not the USA.

I grow my strawberries in a flood and drain bed outside, with the rest of the hydroponics, other than birds it sends them nuts with growth, runners and fruit lol.
For blueberries, we have soil in the 6-6.5 range so we planted into the soil with some sulfur. 11 different varieties with Midyim berries.
The brambles (blackberry, raspberry etc) we planted them along the front to create a very fruitful front fence.

I watched eventhough I already grow, strawberries, blueberries and gooseberries in pots. I am always surprised by how much we harvest. It's ridiculous easy.

There is a spot in my backyard that I cant keep green for grass...so it's time
for a berry run. I'm puttin' blackberries, rasberries, blueberries, and strawberries
in next spring, which will of course lead to canning adventures later.

I find it almost impossible to grow blueberries in the ground so pots are essential. Also I've started mulching with chopped up pine needles which are free. Has anyone had success with pine needle mulch?

Being from UK originally, I have loved blackberries from a child. Tried to grow a runner purchased ( not cheaply) from a garden centre but no joy. Can you advise where I might buy something more established to plant in a container. I am just down the coast to you.
    Greatly appreciate any help.

What variety of blueberry are you growing mate? I’m having trouble with my sunshine blue, it produces flowers but no fruit and I don’t understand why. If anyone could help that would be much appreciated.

They grow best with two or more plants to pollinate each other. Good luck!

@@jaychaudhry5452 have u amended their soil to make it more acidic? I grow mine in potting soil, and feed them eggshells, and coffee grinds and old coffee. I add some pine needles from time to time. I also fertilize them once they start flowering. My toddler loves our blueberries. Our plants are nice producers.

@@da1stamericus hey there, I have amended the soil with sulfur and coffee grounds, I got a big sunshine blue plant from bunnings as I hoped it would potentially produce this season, I wasn’t aware that I need 2 plants, is that true? Also if I need 2 plants do they need to be different varieties or can the be the same? What fertiliser are you using when they start flowering?

I grow blueberries now at the new address I have to fight the birds of a morning to get them away & if that's not bad enough I now have a rogue rabbit that seems to have taken a liking to my berries so every night I tuck them in with netting & pegs. Im not going to start on my veg garden
